Wakeup,

I believe that we should realize that there is not just a "true" and a "bad" church, but that there's only one Church and "bad ones" are not truly Churches but the offshoots of Satan. In response to your previous posting I must add that there is no holy mother of God. There was a physical mother to the personage of Jesus Christ regarding his human nature, but Mary should never be elevated, nor labeled as "a mother of God".

God the father,God the son, God the holy spirit?

where is God the holy mother of God?

why is she left out of the picture? is this not dishonouring the mother of god?

"God the Father," "God the Son," and "God the Holy Spirit" are terms which we use to dinstinguish between the Father, Son, and Spirit so people are not lead to confusion, particularly that Christ is the Father, or the Father is the Holy Spirit, or any other unique combination of the sort. Scripture emphatically declares that Christ pre-existed with the Father prior the incarnation, before taking the flesh, eternally. Trinitarians do not believe in a "God the Mother," or "God the Holy Mother" so I'm not too sure what you're trying to prove with such a question.

Did it ever dawn on you that the words that Christ spoke when He said concerning the last days, "Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many," that He had you in mind? You deny the Trinity, but you offer no exegetical work that disproves Jesus is true God, or that God is multi-personal. In fact, I've been hoping that you would offer up some sort of presentation of your doctrinal beliefs, and a defense of them, rather than random assertions. There's nearly 7 billion people world-wide, and each claim they have "the truth." So show us and tell us the truth in all things, if indeed you have it.
Strongly agree. I have seen an unfortunate amount of entries on this site where individuals claim all sorts of things, but never provide a direct answer when asked to back it up.

Consider the first century church started by Peter and the apostles. Do you want to take a gander at proving that they were not the true church? These people fellowshipped with each other almost constantly, showering each other with acts of love. They shared a communion every sunday. None of them chose to withdraw from each other and say, "I know better".

Of course, that was the "true church". Evidently you have been unable to find the "true church".

This I know. We do not find God, God finds us. If you are having trouble find the "true church", perhaps you should be praying that the church will "find you".

Of this I am sure. The true church is not spending time alone in your room, telling everyone else in an electronic medium, that unless they believe as you do, that they are all in the wrong church.
Strongly agree. Especially with what you said about fellowship, and that God finds us, we don't find him.

Church comes from a word meaning "A Gathering, or an assembly"

God tells us that were 2 or three are "gathered" (or assembled together) in his name, there he will be also.

This is the true church.

how can we distinguish the true church, from the bad church?
we have to to look at the foudation. we must compere the doctrine carefully,
if that particular churh teaches the trinity which is not in the bible, and teaches that
mary is the mother of God, run as fast as you can from that church.
if a church teaches that you go to heaven at death, and that you are born again, andsaved forever without conforming to the comandmets of christ and stay with it,

The GOC does teach that after a Christian is born again in baptism, he must continue to live by and keep all the the commandments of Christ (Christ didn't do away with the ten commandments), and we must stay with HIM until the end of life. In Erie PA Scott R. Harrington GOC = Greek Orthodox Church one holy catholic and apostolic church

and that all you need is go to church every sunday, and that we dont have to worry
about the prophesies, because it is all negative. run as fast as you can.
the doctrine must harmonise with all the scriptures.
remember Jesus has warned us concerning the last days, dont ignore his warnings.
God judges the quality of our worship,he sees how sincere we are in worshipping
him. Jesus adviced us to learn of him, mat.11:29. to learn of him only proofs
that we are realy serious, in wanting to know him. anyone luke warm, he will spew
out. many christians will have to go through the grind(trib.) because of this.
choose your church very carefully, i know that there isnt too many good ones out
there. stick to the scriptures. may God bless, and assist you.

if one prays to mary, then mary is also one of the gods.
Jesus is the only doorway to God.

The true church talks about...
What exactly are we created for? What does God's desire and eternal purpose?
How important for us to be transformed into the image of Christ (as opposed to just imitating Christ in our fleshly effort) and how are we to be transformed into the image of Christ?

The true church talks about the need for us to carry our cross or how to really die to our self. The true church sees that we need to live by the life of Christ in us and grow in His Life as opposed to just doing some good works.

…instead of hearing about the social gospel, the prosperity gospel, and doing good works.

they that worship god in spirit and in truth.
they dont contradict each other, they dont differ in doctrine.
they never split and split again, and split and split again.

the early church does not teach the trinity the trinity has been odopted in the 300rds
it is not a good idea to ad new ideologies into the the holy bible,God forbid.
if trinity is not taught in the bible why teach outside?we know that the apostles
teach by the holy spirit, but the trinity doctine is taught by men; if you are happy with that then it is your problem.but you are protecting mens doctrine, one suppose to protect the truth.you embrace your church, i embrace the truth, the word of God.

yes, we need to transform our selves to christ, the more we help ourselves with the
word the more we become like christ.

This is what separates the true church (body of Christ) from the impostor.

Those of the true Body have the Holy Spirit given to them, to empower them to do this very thing you speak of.

those of the impostor church, or harlot, have not been given this gift, and although some may fake it, or appear to do it, They have no power, and eventually their true fruit will be revieled.

I am a novice in theology and no biblical scholar, but it seems to me that a lot of the above argument is "much ado about nothing", if we can all agree on two things ...

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)

And ...

"Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.’" (Matthew 22:37-39)

Almost anything beyond this, in my opinion, is interpretation and subject to human nature.

thus, luke 10:22. is nothing to you: what did Jesus say?
no man knows the son but the father, and noman knows the father but the son
this scripture is of no significant to you?
but he to whom the son will reveal him.

I sense that you are Catholic/Orthodox Bashing.

Acts 11:26
and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.
This event in Antioch occurred before the modern Bible was assembled, before the Nicene Creed was developed and before the doctrine of the Trinity was assembled as a Theology.

They were still writing the bible back then.

In the same street where Peter set up a Church in Antioch, there exists an Orthodox church today.

Are you that the Church Peter set up, who Christ ordained to establish a church, is false?

I respectfully disagree with your contention.

How exactly is Mary not Jesus' mother? Are you saying that the virgin birth is a lie? Even the Moslems know she gave birth to Jesus. Can you please explain your accusation?

the church there today is denominational, thats the difference between when Peter established it and to what man has made it. ( i was brought up orthodox )

so many doctrines, yet the kingdom of God is found within

you obviously are a follower.
i never said Jesus is not born of mary, you obviuosly believe Jesus is God, became
flesh. thats not what john ch.1 says: he says the word, became flesh.
the doctrine of the trinity was accepted by the church in the 300rds ad.
i know that the roman church claims that the church was build on peters tomb.(foundation)
this is misreading the scripture: the church is build on the cornerstone, which
is Jesus, not peter.
