You know Blond had found that when you take the time to get to know a person....you then become invested in them as another human.....common ground... I had a girlfriend that she along with my daughter would ask random questions to each other just to get to know the other person better....Like tell us something you have never told us before? Or what is your favorite place?
Just any and every kind of question and we felt so much closer to each other at the end of these question sessions because we knew more about what made us tick.
The most important thing any Christian needs to know and understand is about Salvation and all the extras can fall into place...We have no business questioning the avenues God uses to draw people to himself....and by avenues I mean different denominations. As I say to my daughter all roads lead home....and as far as this Blond is concerned if people understand about Salvation, repentance and acceptance of the sacrifice Jesus has made....who am I to question the validity of another persons walk with God just because they belong to a different denomination?
I had a sweet little Baptist friend I worked with one time tell me I was going to hell....I said really and why is that? Because you aren't taking your daughter to church.... Oh I said would you like to take her to church for me? She hesitated a bit and then said yes and I said o.k. And that is how Blond got Sunday mornings free to do grocery shopping without paying a babysitter.... God only knows the heart and whether or not we belong to Him....Why do we think we need to do His job?

I think my biggest disappointment the last day has been seeing those who whole-heartedly agreed with me when I posted this thread now letting those who don't want unity or peace provoke them to return to the low road we are all trying to get off of, or so we all said.
I'm beginning to think seeking unity and peace is a lost cause.

I look at it this way.....God never said all Christians would unite....He said His followers would unite....so those who really follow God will be doing what He asked them to do and they will be encouraging those who need it and loving and sharing the gospel....I have found kinship with several people on CC and I know we are not all of the same denomination and if you recall the Bible at the end of time there is a remnant which is a small piece of the whole...
So don't be discouraged Brother just find those doing Gods work and stick with them.

I don't feel so bad. I wasn't ever wholehearted, since I never saw what I was supposed to be aiming to do.
But, what you're putting into practice, I'm never going to do. If you think asking the same questions forever is unity, I respectfully disagree. I've been watching the "conversation" you've been having on another thread. You can't get unity when there is nothing to unite to and you can't have a conversation when one person is intentionally ignoring 90% of anything you say. And, I'm not saying your wrong. That can be your way of doing it, but it's not my way.
Remember? You're an arm. I'm a toe. (And honestly, I have no idea what body part we correspond to, but we are different. lol) I'm praying for God's will in that situation, but I've already learned God rarely ever does it the way I expect him to.
I have ignored those who frustrate me past my tolerance levels, (as in temporary ignore, until God tells me to get over it), I have become more thoughtful in what I write, I've made peace with others, and I walk when I need to walk. (Those are permanent ignores -- or, at least long-term, just in case God does his thing on the situation.)
If you're expecting us to do it the way you're doing it, it's not going to happen like that. Give God time to work with each of us. Give us the time to walk the walk, trip along the way, and maybe even have a little pout here in there. If God ever intended us to get it right immediately, we'd be right immediately.
You didn't lose. You didn't fail. You're expecting angels out of humans. Even the apostles didn't get it right all the time. You were heard. For those who listened, we're giving it our best effort, but even there you've got to know it's impossible to maintain best. Better, with God's help, is going to have to do until the return of Christ.
