The purpose of this post is to give all Bible believing Christians a new insight into the person of Jesus, or refresh our memories of what we once new about him.

See, we have always known that Jesus is God, the one true God; the one who came and died for the sins of the world, but we just didn't know how to say it. But now we do. But even today, after 2000 years, hardly anyone believes it.

So let's look at one Scripture from the writings of David and you will see what David knew. He said in Psalm 27:1, "The Lord is my light and my salvation." But Paul, who was very familiar with the Psalms, said in Romans 10:9 that Jesus is the Lord David is talking about.

And that's what the name Jesus means: salvation or the Lord is my salvation. It can also be translated "The God who saves."

See David is preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ long before it took place: that the Lord he knew as YHwh God in the Old Testament is the New Testament Jesus, the same one who gives us salvation and the one we Christians name ourselves after.

A famous songwriter says it best:

When on the cross of Calvary the Lord was crucified
The Mob stood about him and mocked until he died.
Two thieves were nailed besides him to share the agony.
But one of them cried out to him O Lord remember me.

O what a shame to kill him there on that rugged cross,
but such a death was needed to rescue all the lost.
His blood was a ransom to set the captive free,
I know that I am included and that's enough for me.

See God didn't send a substitute. He came himself. And he called himself the Son or the Son of God to account for his human birth, or to show that he was human too.

He said it this way in Zechariah 12: 9,10:

And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for me, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for me, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem. …. King James Version (KJV)

See there is only one being called God. (Deut 6) If this is not so we are claiming that God is polytheistic and this cannot be so. And that Abraham and the prophets too worshiped more than one God, as the nations around them did. The confusion come when we see references to the Father and the Holy Spirit as Jesus speaks about himself. These are his other two names. He is introducing them to us so we an see the full extent of his love. As Jesus said in John 10:30, "The Father and I are the same me." And the same is true of The Holy Spirit.

So we call him Jesus in obedience to what God himself said in Isaiah 43:10-11:

"You are my witnesses, declares the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe that I am he: besides me there is no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the Lord Jesus; and beside me there is no savior.

But as I said, even today hardly anyone believed this truth. So all I ask is that you give it your condideration, even if you disagree. And let Jesus lead us back to the simple truth of Christ we once knew of him, and to the faith once delivered to us as believers in Christ Jesus.

I believe that Jesus is part of the Trinity and that He has been given all authority by the Father and that it is the Holy Spirit that was sent to comfort and guide us on our spiritual journey. There are the separate distinct entities that comprise one God. Fresh spiritual insights are always a good thing when understood and wisely acted upon according the scripture.

Well said.

Makes me wonder when he comes will he find faith or experience seekers?

The gospel as to the suffering of Christ beforehand and the glory that did follow does seem to get pushed to the side.

But its suffering is shown looking ahead to its fullelment in Christ with Abel the firsr martyr

Also all the furniture and everything within the ceremonies (shadows) all pointed ahead to the work of our bloody husband beforehand as the sign of circummsion .Every page is filled with the good news leading to the glory (the opening of the graves) The first resurrection.

There are many groups today that would say the Holy Spirt did not come an indwell a beliver before Pentecost.

1 Peter 1:11 would seem to tie it all together. Again beginning with Abel the first martyr who received the end of his faith from the beginning. even the salvation of his soul.

Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: Searching what, or what manner of time (reformation) the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. 1 Peter 1:9-11

Amen

Jesus said he would pray to the father, that he would send the holy spirit.

Jesus cannot be all three.. And the father did not send himself. Now was jesus asking the father to send himself.

God has promised to reveal Himself to those who seek sincerely. Without that experience, I would not be a believer.

Jesus tells us in John 17:3, “Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”

This poster is trying to promote the heresy of MODALISM. Please note what he says:

"See God didn't send a substitute. He came himself. And he called himself the Son or the Son of God to account for his human birth, or to show that he was human too."

So according to this teaching God was trying to trick humans into thinking that the Father was the Son and the Son was the Father. And then to add to the confusion the human birth of Christ was to show that He was the Son of God (although the Bible clearly tells us that Jesus (the Word) is also THE ETERNAL SON OF GOD, distinct from the Father.

You are not helping anyone by sowing the seeds of spiritual confusion. God the Father is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is the eternal and only begotten Son of God, and He is NOT the Father.

She will give birth to a son, and you are to give Him the name Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins
(Matthew 1:21)
Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call His name Immanuel (which means, God with us)
(Matthew 1:23)

Yeshua = "Yah is salvation"

God with us is God is salvation -- it is more than that our iniquity is taken away by the atonement He Himself made, but that He dwells with us, and in Him we have life, just is He is the true life that is in us

Isaiah also tricked us by calling Jesus an eternal Father:

Isa 9:6For unto us a child is born, unto us a sonis given, and the government will be upon His shoulders. And He will be called WonderfulCounselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

2Peter 3v16 states: As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.

JOHN 1:-1-4.
In the beginning was The Word, and The Word was with God, and The Word was God.
The Same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made.
In Him was life; and the life was the light of men.

The heresy is when people say God is three. How many do Trinitarians say?
