Autism can be caused by several factors. A pregnant mother who took over the counter medication she believed to be safe and now we see were not by the lawsuit against them.
Even baby food has come under fire because of the metal it contained and now being associated with Autism and other issues.
There's even factors from environmental problems relating to Autism.
In other words, the fetus was perfect until contaminates were introduced.
So God did make you Perfect, but the SINS of Greed, Neglect, and others by lying to Mothers ensuring them their medication was safe, their baby food was safe, the environment was safe, etc. is most likely why this has happened.

In other words, the fetus was perfect until contaminates were introduced.

We are made to bear the image of God, this much is true. Since Adam and Eve sinned by disobeying God, the world and humanity are fallen and corrupted. People lived to be around 900 years old at first after that. Some say the gene pool was purer then, though that is speculative, though God did reduce man's years following the flood. But even back in the garden, right after A&E sinned, God made a prophetic promise concerning His only begotten Son. We are perfected only in Him.

People have different ideas about what "made in God's image" refers to. I am not physically and mentally perfect either, so that's not it.
Perhaps it means that we have souls that can live forever. That is why it is so important to come to Jesus and let Him teach us how to prepare for eternity with Him in Heaven when we die. He loves us. Our troubles are only temporary if we belong to Him.

amen Jesus is the image of God man was made in his image but we don’t see his image until Jesus came and stepped into our sight

To see gods image we have to look at Christ in the gospel some won’t do that because of the light ( see John 3: 19-21)
“in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”

If we won’t believe the gospel this can’t happen and Satan knows it
“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

This changes us in our mind and heart
“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”

our minds change when we hear Jesus teaching and accept that he’s our lord when we consent to his words in the gospel teaching us about God , mankind , life , death , salvation into his eternal

We become like Jesus in our mind and heart instead of like corrupt mankind that fell through adam into sin and death through Christ we are being redeemed to righteousness and life re crested for a new heaven and earth

It is difficult in this world to suffer. Our difficulty is deepened, however, when rather than it leading one into deeper fellowship and affection with and for God, it serves to produce doubt in the child of God as to God's goodness and power. I'm sharing because I don't want this to become true of you.
So perhaps we can view your imperfection from God's point of view. 2 Corinthians 4:7 says...
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
Our weakness is a means to God's glorification. It insures that in our pride we do not rob God of His glory. It enables us to let our light so shine among men that they see our good works but still glorify, not us, but our Father in heaven.
Others here have added wonderful insight on the subject as well. Closer dependence on God, an increased and manifest nearness of God are among the benefits accrued to us as we work through our suffering to find the face of God. At no time are our prayers to God more earnest or nearer His heart than when offered in our brokenness. And at no time, perhaps, are we more like Christ than when we endure suffering for the joy set before us.
As with the legion of saints before you may you truly learn to find joy in suffering for the cause of Christ.

If you have believed in Jesus as God, that Jesus died and rose again. That by believing in Him you have eternal life, then this autism will only last till you die, then you will be perfect in heaven.
That's maybe 60 years (I don't know how old you are) compared with eternity in heaven.
That's a pin drop.
This is the perspective Job had for most of the time. He endured almost every suffering a person can get, but knew God had a plan and purpose through it.
I have eye health issues and troubles with anxiety. I may have undiagnosed autism.
It's disheartening and frustrating some times. Missing things other people seem to get. Getting absorbed in one thing and lose focus on things outside that. Finding it hard to relate to women.
But in this, Jesus always has a way through. Not an instant cure, but grace and mercy.

yeah we know that when God walked among us in his short earthly life , he suffered a lot of rejection and pain and suffering alot of trials of many kinds both physical and mental and I’m sure also emotional before he passed away and was received into heaven afterwards
so we can follow that image of God and see our own trials and struggles and obstacles in this life and know that glory comes after the trials and home comes after the journey and life in Christ Jesus goes on even if we come through many valleys and must fight through many brambles along the way
Even if we don’t get a fair shake in this short lifetime we have an inheritance waiting in a better world that will not fade and perish with time or be stolen or wasted where rust doesn’t come and moths don’t devour
so we can follow that image of God and see our own trials and struggles and obstacles in this life and know that glory comes after the trials and home comes after the journey and life in Christ Jesus goes on even if we come through many valleys and must fight through many brambles along the way

The good news is that this life is temporary and we will go to Him one day. Because He has had compassion on us in our fallen state and send His only begotten Son to suffer along with us and then die the horrific death that is our just end. He did it and over came sin and death so that we do not have to. We can instead plead the blood of Jesus, and be not only spared but cleansed of our guilt and live eternally with Him in paradice.

That's really simple:
We all experience the effects and manifestations of the Fall. Autism is one such effect.
You were indeed created in God's image, but that doesn't mean you are perfect, any more than it means anyone else is perfect. Further, it is not solidly defensible that the physical body is the image of which God speaks.
