I get it, you're here looking for someone to commiserate with. Man, life's too short. Enjoy your pity party.
No. just wish GOD had done things differently when it comes to marriage.

I've know people who have gotten married in the church of faith GOD was leading them. The marriage ended in divorce.
Sure but that wasn't the point. The point was that God requires faith of us, not sight. So while you think it might be easier another way is immaterial to what pleases God. Knowing what pleases God, why would you choose something you know does not?

Of those who regularly attend an evangelical church on a weekly or every two week basis less than ten percent (Actually just a bit over 5) get divorced.
They are active in the community and have goals they are working on together.
Those who do "home church" don't fare as well.

A good match, both peoples eyes would light up blue, a bad match their eyes would turn red. The better or worse the match, the deeper the color. Once married, the colors would disappear.
You need to get a box of matches and set fire to all these match-making and dating threads.

I think God really designed this function, that is, when you meet the person you love, you will have a strong warm feeling in your heart.

But perhaps for some reason, people do not believe this feeling, whether it is a unilateral feeling I'm not talking about people who love handsome men and beautiful women when they see them. They may not have that feeling. I don't know, only God knows. I think such a person is just a desire for the purpose of looking.
Every divorce that ever happened started with warm fuzzy feelings.
People need to use the wisdom God gave them, along with his instructions.
Feelings change wisdom does not, neither does God nor do his instructions

Finding a good wife or husband may be tough in these times. You got two options:

1. Wait for the perfect match, and stay alone and patient.
2. Roll the dice and get married

I guess the fact that Abraham didn't have his son until he was 99, was his problem.
Did you ever consider the possibility that God hasn't sent a righteous woman to you is because it wouldn't be right to her?

I wish GOD had updated his word. Paul was speaking to a 1st century culture. Many things he said no longer apply. He said women should not speak in church. Try telling women today to stop talking in church. They also did not date in the 1st century, the bible is not about dating.

But he didn't. And threads like this won't change anything. So what's the point?

This game is fun!! :love::love::love:

I wish God had made a land of chocolate and ice cream where no-matter how much you eat, you don't get fat.
I have a high metabolism, can eat whatever I want, as much as I want, and still don't gain weight.

what instructions on marriage?
The Bible is full of instruction for marriage.
From Genesis to Proverbs and Psalms and Hosea to Thessalonians. And hundreds of places between.

It has been my understanding that when people find problems with the way God does things, it's usually because of the measure they've received from Him due to their rebellion of His teachings.

Did I say that simple enough? Not trying to offend, but disagreements with God have only gotten me in trouble in the past. We need to learn from our mistakes & grow up.
