it is not a sin to notices awomen who is attractive . That is what we are created to see. it is only sin when you lust or have sexual desires of the women you see and be a willful partispant to the temptation. We make God unreasonable , this is what Eve didf when she spoke to the Serpant . it was not a sin to touch it, or even look at the tree. it was a sin to eat of it.

it is not a sin to be tempted Jesus was tempted HE did not sin. it is not a sin to admire a beautiful women. If that was the case God would not have made her that way.

I see women all the time and very attractive too. Wow look at her Ok, no what next? that is the differnce . How do I view women in the church ? Who are attractive? a wife, and sister , and mother and daughter, or from a lust induced context? The latter is a choice you have to willfully enage in the perversion which is sin.
I was eluding to looking at women who dress in such a way that it reveals a lot and it is very eye catchy. My Muslim friend tells me their women cover up with full hijabs because if she dresses to provoke a man and he rapes her that she is to blame for provoking him.

They take it to another level where they protect the mans sexual desire by hiding the temptation behind a hijab.
I heard an Islamic leader defending a bunch of young Muslims who raped a girl in Europe saying that she provoked them by the way she was dressed. He said if you leave meat uncovered, the cats will come and eat it, so they admit that they don't have control over their desires.

As Christians, God has given us the strength to resist temptation but there's a fine line between admiring a woman's beauty and the old nature looking with lust. So I believe women should not dress to provoke and if they do we should never look at them at all, not even for a second.

any man who rapes a women because she is not dressed modestly had to be living in a caved for the past 50 years or even the past 20. Jesus talked to a women at the well who had 5 husbands He did not think of taking advanage of her Probvers tell us any man who sleeps with a loose women dishonors himself. the fine line is lust and not lusting . go the the beach in california , walking with my wife BINGO !! right there infront of me might as well had no covering . Did I see it yep, did I turn Away yep. did I plan to see her nope, did I take a long glaring look nope. was it sin ? nope. The issue is not what others think it is what God knows about our heart.

I agree women should dress modestly But the context of provoke did not work with Joseph or Jesus, or Paul, or others in the word of God. When you are confronted with women who are dressed inappropriately that is a test of our character. you will do what is in your heart

I live in Sarasota Florida. For a time there was part of the beach used by nudists. Hard not to look. Finally the police closed it down.

Hello Dan_473,

I tell you that, if you attempt to keep the works of the law, it will keep you out of the kingdom of heaven. We are saved by trusting in Christ as the One who provided salvation for us, completely and fully and not by anything that we could do, nor is there anything that need to be added.

The "works" that God wants us to keep is not referring to the Levitical laws, for no one will be saved by observing the law. Here are the works that God desires:

"Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”

Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.' "

"Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us."

Also, while it is true that Jesus and the Father are one God, they are also individual personalities of that one God. A good example of this would be when Jesus was Baptized and came up out of the water, the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove lit upon Him and the voice of the Father out of heaven said, "this is My Son whom I love, listen to Him." In addition, in Revelation we have the Father sitting on the throne and the Lamb/Jesus coming and taking the scroll out of the Father's right hand. These demonstrate the individual persons which make up God.

But going back to the Levitical Law, if you attempt to keep those things, then you have to keep all of them perfectly every day for the rest of your life. However, you have already failed at that, which means that when you broke even one part of the Law, you are guilty of breaking the whole thing.

Jesus, as a human being, kept the Law perfectly and did so on every believers behalf. He also paid the penalty for sin, not for His own, but for ours. He also took upon Himself God's wrath that we deserve, which is why believers are not appointed to suffer God's coming wrath. Therefore, when a person receives Christ they are credited with Christ's righteousness, His fulfillment of the Law and satisfied God's wrath in every believers place. We are like Christ's running around which God sees as perfect because of our faith in Christ.

No believer will enter into the kingdom of God by keeping the Sabbath, abstaining from foods, trying to keep the ten commandments, etc., etc.

Do you mean "no person" or are you saying a believer will enter regardless if they do or do not these things?

UnderGrace is the name of the cat, yet the Bible never mentioned it, but that does not negate the truth that UnderGrace is the name of the cat

If one is proclaiming to be in Christ but is really trusting in keeping the works of the law, then they are not having faith in Christ as the One who provided their salvation. Whether or not a person is having faith in Christ is what determines a true believer. When a person brings in other mandatory requirements for salvation such as, Keeping the Sabbath on a certain day, abstaining from certain foods, the keeping of the ten commandments, etc., then they are not trusting in Christ as the One who provided salvation completely and fully, else they wouldn't be trusting in those works. It's like saying that the Lord's sacrifice was insufficient."

Jesus addressed many issues and many sins and, yet, he never said a thing about this topic.
On the contrary, Jesus addresses it in Matthew 19:12. In rabbinic Judaism the expression "eunuchs from birth" refers to men who, for whatever reason lack a natural attraction to women. This group of men includes gays. Jesus implies that the homosexual sex orientation is OK: "Let him receive who will." But of course Jesus would acknowledge the OT's condemnation of gay sex acts.

How do you seperate what the prophets say from the prophets? Keep in mind in Biblical times a prophet that had a prophecy fail was killed.

So your ignorance is showing through.
there is a difference between the word profit and the word prophecies.

Jesus said he came to fulfill the law and the prophets. If he intended to come to fulfill all prophecies, then he failed.

but Jesus did fulfill the law and the prophets, which is what he came to do!

Yes, I know understand completely (I believe and always defend the finished work of the cross) what you are saying and agree.

Although I do think there are people who are born again believers who did not receive proper training in the faith and somehow have let themselves be convinced that there are some parts of the law that they still must keep or some type of work.

Now having known one such person who joined a messianic type church did leave, but he almost had to be reprogrammed, it was like having been involved in a cult.

Having listened to his testimony it really cemented for me the need to guard our hearts and minds and flee from false teachers.

Thanks!:)

A prophet is one who prophecies, prophecy (declaring the word of God, as it is written, the gospel )

Calibob-
"Is as bad as" ? It is my understanding any and all sin , even just one, is enough to condemn a person.
