Kaylagrl and Ladyblue, I was somewhat surprised to read yalls responses, gotta admit that:) I'm not saying God is a liar, I'm expressing my opinion on a subject. We don't know the Lords ways, and we don't know anything about being gay. Leave it all to the Lord and bring what's troublesome to Him in prayer:)
We know it is a sin, Just as all sin is sin.

And we should not say it is ok for Gays to be gay, this would open up a whole can of worms,, If I am alloud to be gay, I am allowed to do any sin I want, what is to stop me?

Where does society draw the line of what is moral and not moral?

ever read romans 1?

[SUP]18 [/SUP]For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, [SUP]19 [/SUP]because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. [SUP]20 [/SUP]For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, [SUP]21 [/SUP]because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. [SUP]22[/SUP]Professing to be wise, they became fools, [SUP]23 [/SUP]and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

[SUP]24 [/SUP]Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, [SUP]25 [/SUP]who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

[SUP]26 [/SUP]For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. [SUP]27 [/SUP]Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

[SUP]28 [/SUP]And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; [SUP]29 [/SUP]being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality,[SUP][c][/SUP] wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, [SUP]30 [/SUP]backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, [SUP]31 [/SUP]undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving,[SUP][d][/SUP] unmerciful; [SUP]32 [/SUP]who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

So yeah, EVERYONE! I think God in his inspired words through Paul makes that quite clear..

What people say does not matter, I can say I am born a gay all I want, it does not mean it is true, or that I really believe it..
Apparently some prefer to live in denial of what Jesus said about homosexuality. :/ It's a shame that they aren't filled with the truth and honestly I question their christianity.

What the Word teaches matters and apparently this is where the problem lies
Since "Kaylagrl" is not Jesus, Kaylagrl should show love when tearing apart another person's opinion.

Not many of you should become teachers.

C'mon PW, you're smarter than this.
It's comments, like these, which add nothing to the discussion but strife.

I'm so pissed off today as a result of reading this thread again.

These stupid, emotionally-driven interjections and petty jabs -- I've had enough.

Goodbye, CC.

Enjoy your damned clique.

Irrelevant to you, perhaps.
I'm done, Blue.

No point in attempting to bridge a gap when one side doesn't want to be joined to the other.
Forget what Paul said about church unity.
Let us continue to form our self-righteous cliques.

This isn't what Jesus spoke--but it's what we're doing.

CC will remain a small niche--a clique--because we are slow to listen and hasty to speak.

You can't have church unity if you don't understand doctrine and what the Word teaches. If you dont understand the importance of this you will be carried away by every false doctrine that comes along. Its important and it matters. The church didn't have unity just for the sake of saying they were unified. They knew the Word, they knew doctrine. If they were in error they were corrected.

Simple solution: close down the thread, or even better, this forum.

Yeah, I'm not stupid.
Never said you were, and you missed the point.

If you're going to quote me, do it correctly. ....Stop making me out to look like a liar. Next time quote me accurately, tyvm!!
I did quote you correctly.
I did not 'make you out to look like a liar'.
I did quote you accurately (even provided a link to the original post)!

Once again, Lady Blue, these nonsense comments -- these emotionally-charged, expressions of contempt are littering this thread and this forum. Not just with you, but with a lot of folks. And I'm finding myself getting so frustrated that I'm beginning to resort to the same. This is why I step away.

If the entire bible is Jesus' words -- why the red letters? Why isn't the entire thing red?

Jesus words are in read to differentiate from the other speakers. The Bible has different speakers of course but our point is that God/Jesus are in agreement on homosexuality. Just because it isn't in read letters doesn't mean that the God of the OT isn't Jesus of the NT. They are in agreement.

Jesus didn't always show love when defending something. NOPE. He threatened to whip the moneychangers in the temple. THAT wasn't showing love. Open rebuke is better than silent love. And nothing gets resolved by running away (again) and not trying to understand people's pov..

I understand your POV -- my frustration is that YOU (and others here) refuse to understand others' points of view!
To the point where you say the same thing over and over and over and over -- without ever acknowledging that you "get it" !

It's absolute insanity!

No I don't understand your or Magenta's pov on the subject of Jesus speaking on homos. It is insane, either you're in denial or you don't believe Jesus' own words in the bible.. Care to explain your pov so I WILL understand?

I UNDERSTAND JENNY SAID: 'GAYS ARE GAYS BECAUSE GOD CREATED THEM AS SUCH'
I UNDERSTAND YOU SAID: 'THAT'S BULL CRAP AND EVERYONE KNOWS IT ISN'T TRUE'

I CHALLENGED YOUR USE OF "EVERYONE", BECAUSE "EVERYONE" DOES NOT SHARE THE SAME KNOWLEDGE OR OPINION.

(How did something so simple get so jacked up?!)

I didn't claim to be Jesus. And read my second answer to Jennymae. I made clear I was not attacking her. Opinion doesn't matter. Its in the Bible to read FOR YOURSELF. I dont need to teach, you can read it! Im pointing out what the Bible says, clear for ALL to read and understand. How can we call ourselves Christians if we dont follow the WORD?!

Folks this is a Christian forum. Popular opinion doesn't matter,PC doesn't matter. Either we believe the Word and what it says or we don't. We cant call ourselves Christians by name and not follow the directions God/Jesus gave us in His Word. If CC is not about the truth of the Word but only about peoples opinions I dont want to be a part of it. Everyones opinion cant be right folks. This isn't a click. We're talking about Gods Word. Either CC stands behind the Word or it doesn't. Let me know how the land lies because Im not backing down from the truth of the Word. So if I need to take my leave please let me know.

This is the first time you've attempted to show that you care about mine or Magenta's POV on the subject.

This is an extremely frustrating fact which is further complicated when useless exclamations, interjections, and assumptions are added.

No, Lady Blue -- I think that if anyone honestly wants to understand my POV or Magenta's POV (or anyone else's, for that matter), they can simply re-read this thread WITH CARE. I am fairly confident that if CARE is exercised, all will understand and see how silly this entire argument really was/is/has been. And, if after a careful re-read, if you still have questions or need clarification on my POV or Magenta's POV -- then I will be happy to clarify (and I'd bet she would as well).

Reading Romans 1 does not lead me to believe that EVERYONE has read (and believes) Romans 1.

Does not matter if everyone read Romans 1. Does the fact that someone not read it make it NOT BE TRUTH?

And for you to even think it does. has me seriously worried.

Since when does someone have to read a passage for the passage to be truth? Did you even read it? Evidently you did not.. Because if you did, you would not have made such a comment.

Nor does it matter if everyone believes it or not.

Paul said they have no excuse, Because God showed them, And paul said they not only KNOW IT IS SIN, AND DO IT ANYWAY, BUT GET OTHER PEOPLE TO DO IT TO..

Did Paul lie?

It got jacked up because if everyone would read their bible, and BELIEVE IT, then EVERYONE WOULD share the same knowledge. Even homos know their lifestyle is a sin, they simply don't care. WE, as christians, should. :/
