The great Civil Service sell-off: Dozens of services and 75,000 staff set to be transferred to private sector
Unions denounce sale as ‘privatisation by stealth’

OLIVER WRIGHT WEDNESDAY 01 MAY 2013

Ministers are preparing to spin off “dozens” of state-owned services into independent companies in what could be one of the largest privatisation programmes since the 1980s.

Under plans being rolled out by the Cabinet Office, millions of pounds’ worth of state-owned services will be spun off into independent companies – jointly owned by private-sector investors and their employees – within the next two years. Eventually as many as one in six civil servants – or 75,000 staff – could be transferred into the private sector with the Government maintaining a minority stake and offering long-term contracts to the new companies to encourage investment.....

If people will just look into these things sis but they wont you want to talk about blinders oh vey LOL
they've been trained to turn away from it.
and to turn on anyone who talks about it.
people think if they stay quiet or pretend it isn't happening it will go away.
it's always the same.

The Frankfurt School scoped it all out and laid down some funky tracks.
all people have to do is read about them.

the telly was the thing.
still is.
it's magic.

i don't like being lied to, wil.

Does Form1040 and April 15th mean anything to ya? :)
Nothing at all. So again while you are waiting on your tax form, 133,000 MORE children can die! I do not understand you so called Christians!

Well, since when are Christians, especially American Christians responsible for feeding all the children born anywhere on Earth? Why aren't you holding accountable their parents to feed and provide for their own children? And if you're talking about homeless children due to war, then why aren't you holding the local government accountable?

All human social struggles are not the individual Christian's responsibility. We "so called Christians" cannot even pass sound laws to protect our local community's struggles, let alone have a bearing on hungry, homeless children in Acapulco and Darfur... Let's be reasonable here. :)

Funny, I thought the basis of the Christian faith is to love your enemy or neighbor as yourself?

Well my, my Miss BananaPie, if I didn't know any better it would almost sound as if you're suggesting *Gasp*...Strive for perfection or something of the sort
LOL. Well, it doesn't have to be an "A+", but I'll settle with ya for an A when it comes to honesty.

Frankly, MidnightWelder, I don't need to know all of a person's thoughts because too much sincerity can become burdensome or unintelligible, but exercising transparency with prudence, when called for, is quite welcome and becoming of BananaPie. :)

For example, it's irrelevant for me to walk up to a TV Evangelist to express my "honest" opinion about how he/she rips people off in the name of religion. Likewise, it's irrelevant to walk up to a US Supreme Court Justice to request him to rule according to Bible ethics on all issues rather than on Lobbyists.

When big money is at stake, honesty really, really doesn't have a bearing; that's just the nature of the beastly greed. The Media Spin is a major contributor to ridiculing honest practices considering the Media is major polarized because they too need to cash-in on big money, and for some odd reason, sin sells. Yikes! :D

MidnightWelder said:
Are we only to be a follower or Christian some of the time
70% of the time, 99% of the time, or 100 percent of the time?
The dishonest scales concept can also include weighing ourselves against what we do and think while we're being a Christian against the times when we're not.
Would you agree that with each breath we take, we are to be in love with our Creator and our Savior Jesus Christ, but that doesn't translate to we being without sin all the time? Yes, the love of God brings us to repentance and is a strong motivating factor for me to be honest, but even in the best of my human ability to be "as good as gold," I still fall short of the glory of God. I am still very capable of disappointing a friend even when I was honest in providing unnecessary information.

MidnightWelder said:
But are we the makers of the law or keepers of? Romans 3
Good call on Romans 3. I believe the moral Law was made by God for humans to keep for our own good. I believe the remainder of the Law was made by God for 2 reasons:
a) as a litmus paper to test for who wants to obey God for the love of God, and who doesn't,
b) to prove to mankind how impossible it is to keep the entire Law; hence, we can understand God's grace.

God is already perfectly moral and completely ethical. God's holy nature does not change nor ever dilutes whether humans obey the Law or not. It's irrelevant from God's perspective, but from a human perspective, obeying God's opinion about how we ought to behave is totally imperative if we desire to exist in harmony with God, of course. :)

MidnightWelder said:
In fact "Case law" states that when a judge acts as a trespasser of the law, or does not follow the law, they then lose "subject matter jurisdiction" and the judges orders are void, and are of no legal force.
...
Loses subject matter jurisdiction...that sounds like a good way of wording "Being a good witness of"
Totally agree! Good train of thought there, MidnightWelder.

Do you play an instrument of any type Banana? Nope.
If so, when you practice, do you ever purposely practice badly or in a mediocre way?
Good premise! The whole reason why BananaPie came to Christ is because my BC life was purposely practiced badly. :D But it has pleased God to save my soul, and He alone has given me a pretty, sweet song. So, you think I still need a fiddle? :D

Okay, seriously. Yes, I agree with you with respect to we are what we practice. As long as we give the glory to God for the mercies He’s had upon us, in forgiving us our transgressions, then life is sweet, but the moment we believe we can generate any form of godliness, then we are a “holier than Thou” daft!! LOL

I had not clue, but did you know she was raised Jewish at home, but her and her parents attended LDS services?

MidnightWelder said:
So absolutely, I agree with you we should practice making perfect our overall conduct; what we say, do, teach, learn, consume. This is how a person may have a clear conscience… Even without a luscious sugary dessert before bed time
Dontcha think?
Oh, man! You mean this whole time it’s not the banana splits that have delighted my soul with a clean conscience? Good heavens! What is this world coming to? LOL

How many ships of food have been sent to places like Somalia and it gets to the country but THEIR own people will not for whatever reason will not either unload the ships or if they do unload the ships, store the food in warehouses but will not get the food out to those that need it,isn't the problem deeper then just one group who does show the love when others will not? Or how about India who could actually feed their own poor with the food they leave rot? And how will a non monetary system remove greed and corruption out of men's hearts? Are all people in the world Christian in the first place? The problem is NOT the money itself, the problem is a matter of the heart. Removing money itself will not remove greed, coveting, hate or a whole host of other problems.

(Reuters) - Every day some 3,000 Indian children die from illnesses related to malnutrition, and yet countless heaps of rodent-infested wheat and rice are rotting in fields across the north of their own country.

When the Lord graced me with His Holy Spirit entering into me on Good Friday, 1969, I had been drawn to Him in part by the horrid world events at the time.

Viet Nam was harming households there and in the US, but the most painful for me at that time was seeing a child wasted away from hunger. It was not famine, it was caused by man coveting and not being able to obtain. The child was Biafran.

Nigeria had Biafra under seige for 30 months in total. The US had aid sent to within a few hundred miles of the border of Biafra, but it stopped there! Why, the US did not wish to upset diplomatic relations with Nigeria. It was very hurtful to know this.

One thing led to another, and the Father answered my pleas begging to know if He really Is, and if there will be a good outcome to all. He answered me that night, and the next day, and for days after with a bevvy of miracles, just-for-me.

Because of His assurance, and although man is incredibly wicked to man, I know everything will be just fine without some human cashless society plan. God tells us in the Word, a workman is worthy of his wages, and in another part of the Word He teaches us that money answers all problems, material that is.

If the folks in this thread have not yet understood that it is the love of money, greed, that is the root of all evil, I am afraid no one will be able to help them. After all, what is greed? It is coveting, and unfulfilled coveting leads to strifes and war.

Believe God, read and learn His teachings (torah), and most of all worship Him. He is worthy, not us, amen.

It is not the money you want but what money gives you access to, correct? If we provided every man a house, food, clothes, transportation to anywhere and the other things available to sustain a comfortable life, and you will " remove greed, coveting, hate or a whole host of other problems."

And unlike most, I do check out sources provided relative to the subject discussed. Why are those crops rotting away?

(Reuters) - Every day some 3,000 Indian children die from illnesses related to malnutrition, and yet countless heaps of rodent-infested wheat and rice are rotting in fields across the north of their own country. It is an extraordinary paradox created by a rigid regime of subsidies for grain farmers, a woeful lack of storage facilities and an inefficient, corruption-plagued public distribution system that fails millions of impoverished people.
And it is an embarrassment for the government led by the Congress party, which returned to power in 2009 thanks in large part to pledges of welfare for the poor, who make up about 40 percent of the 1.2 billion population.
Quite why the authorities could not simply offload the mountains of grain for free to fill empty stomachs is puzzling, but the explanation lies in the complex regulations that govern procurement and distribution.

Seems like their government as is ours and all over the world are simply corrupt. There is no money in feeding the poor.

UMM No it won't,they tried it. It does NOT work. How many communes have they tried and it FAILS in the long run? The so called Utopia that you are proposing will not and can not work because it's matter of the heart. Those that do not want to work get to the point where they have the expectation of the handouts. (And by no means that all that are not working do not want to work)

Whoever has control of those things will still use them for greed and corruption. No way around it because it's a matter of the heart. Money is nothing more than another commodity which is used as a basis for trade. All you will do is change the parameters, not the root of the problem. And please show in the Bible where God ever promised comfort would be our lot in life. No where does He promise that.

It's a matter of the heart. Change the system and you still have some of the same problems and new ones that no one saw.
Remove the money and whatever becomes the source of trade or whatever will then take it's place. Whatever is used to make something of value with just replace the money. If it's salt, seashells, corn or whatever you will still have those that will hoard it and use it for themselves to get the extra goodies.

It's really hard to talk to you unless you have a legitimate basis to build on without blind assumptions. I invite you to look at this video to give some idea as to how it can work.
