If Scripture says God is a God of Justice then why is there so much INjustice?

I hear what you're saying!

I was presenting a thought experiment.

would I like to live in a world where as soon as someone harmed someone else, God killed them?
no, I wouldn't want to live in that world, I would be long dead.

so, I can't be upset at God that he doesn't kill other people when they harm others.
LOL you and me both.

Your story doesn't surprise me. Due to the medical accident I was forced to go on pain medication which I kept in my purse. On the way out to WORK my car skidded on the snow - which made me angry at my husband since I hate the cold weather and have been trying to get him to move for years. A psychopathic trooper came and demanded my license and the license of a man who helped me. I went to give him my license and he saw my medication and accused me of just taking it - which I hadn't; I take it as soon as I wake up and it was later in the day. I have a PERFECT driving record and that psychopath accused me of driving under the influence. The very premise of his assertions was idiotic. I'm going to drive to WORK to do a bank audit impaired??? He was FRIGHTENING. He lied and said my voice was slurring when it was not. We hired a lawyer who turned out to be corrupt. He said you can tell by the video that my voice was NOT slurring and that I had my wits 100% about me. To make a long story short - those psychopaths kept me going to court for a full year trying to force me to admit I was driving under the influence. They forced me to court one week after major surgery. I felt like Christ being crucified. My husband held me up on one side and my son the other. The corrupt lawyer - I learned that many earned the moniker lie-yers - said he met with the judge and the judge told him I'd better admit I was driving impaired or he was going to find me guilty of a worse crime. They tried to frighten me into saying I was guilty. I got before the judge and I couldn't lie. I don't have much - my parents gave me very little to get by on but one thing that my father always told me was that he's only known 3 honest people in his lifetime - his brother John, my mother, and me. He had 5 kids.

The Holy Spirit took over and I sat there and lambasted that judge. The liar said "I'm just here to find the truth and do justice." I was ready to explode - I was in agony from the surgery and agony because they were all liars trying to find me guilty so I couldn't sue them. I won't go into the ugly detail of what the criminal troopers said but I have never met such amoral people. I reamed that judge in public. I won. But there was another time when I felt that God didn't help me.

So I know just what you mean about going to jail for something you didn't do.

State troopers stopped my daughter and sexually molested her. None got in trouble. Their molesting was caught on video and they tried altering the video but you could still see what they did. It still RIPS MY HEART OUT. Another time God did nothing. I follow these cases now and it's a MAJOR EPIDEMIC - POLICE USING THE BADGE TO COMMIT SEXUAL ASSAULT. Where was God? Why didn't He do anything to the molesters?

All our institutions have become evil. Are these the 'beginning of sorrows'? Why am I always the victim of Satan's attacks and not my friend?
So sorry for your suffering and I am afraid as I have said before. I don't have an answer for you but I know that God is always there even if we don't see or know it. I know this because God has shown me some things and there is no way that I can doubt Him.
Yes what we are seeing in the world and especially in America are the beginnings of sorrows. I spent 8 years focused on the book of Revelation alone and one thing I know for sure is that in order for the fulfillment of Prophetic scripture to occur, America must decline in power and influence both militarily and economically around that world which is happening as we speak. America has been diving head first into great moral decline and decay for many years and even believers are failing to consider consequences of killing babies day after day. Not only has America failed in stopping abortion we have now allowed for live babies, some or all of them breathing to be pulled out of the womb on the day of delivery and murdered in the name of a Woman's reproductive rights and health care. God knows every aborted baby before they were in their mothers womb and He had a plan for their life.
How long do we think that God is going to put up with that before He brings down judgement on America and it.s not just abortion, it's the gay agenda and the rise of paganism that is embraced by our government and leaders on all levels from the top to the lowest level of government. What is happening today in America is nothing new to God. Were was God when during the first 300 years of the church millions and millions of believers were tortured, thrown into boiling oil, fed to animals, put into prison, starved and so much more?
Were was God when 6,000,000 + Jewish people were killed, tortured , starved, marched to death and more??
God was right there with them and always will. Thanks to the persecution of the early believers the Gospel was spread around the world and what came out of the persecution of the Jewish people during WW2? A new nation of Israel was formed which was the fulfillment of prophecy spoken by Ezekiel 2500 years ago.
All I know is that everybody gets what they deserve in this world or the next or both.

I'm still struggling with trying to figure out when it is our responsibility to act and when it's our responsibility to step back and let God act. It's very hard to figure out and God hasn't seen fit to tell me that either.

I think i'm under spiritual attack at some level but still I wrestle with a God who doesn't act.
I feel you on the frustration. What do you think is at the core of the frustration? I pray that you are able to analyze it...for some reason I've been able to analyze my own frustration quite a bit lately, possibly due to your own struggle. Not sure. Contention against the Lord brings on attack I think...I cannot say why this is exactly, just that it seems to be the case and a good scriptural argument could be made that it is error (sin) to do so.

So I had a thought and decided to give it to you. Do you believe the Lord will act? If so, then the issue is impatience and submitting your own will to his perhaps? Submitting to his timing is...err...trying for some (myself included).

I mentioned the book of Jonah in another post because of the person of Jonah. I'll read back through it tomorrow, but I think he wanted judgement. The Lord's response at the end of the book gives us a good deal of clarity on his character.

Chapter 4 is the most relevant. It was almost a question asked to me..."Then said the Lord, Doest thou well to be angry?" 4:4.

He forgave an entire city that some have suggested could have had well over a million people in it. Jonah was displeased with this.

Let's suggest some of the people that are wicked in your sight he forgives and they come to know the Lord and he sets their paths straight. Would you take Jonah's response or rejoice?

There's a good bit to think about there. I want to see people turn from what they are doing and come to the Lord but if they don't...? I just hope that they do. Then sometimes my frustration in not being able to make any difference in their lives, agonizing on what I should say to sway them, what is the Lord leading me in regarding them, etc. etc. I've agonized over stuff like this, sleep illusive, until exhaustion or disassociation take hold.

Forgiveness and loving our enemies...umm...that's not exactly easy is it? You can see how from a certain perspective though how wanting judgement when you yourself have received grace and mercy is potentially counterproductive right? I'm in no way trying to call you out on this or be insulting because as I've said, I await his judgements on things to and it looks quite wrong to me sometimes, but then...he HAS saved me in his judgement...therefore, stands to reason I can and probably should withhold any judgement on how he should/shouldn't act.

It is possible that he simply doesn't allow us to see where he IS moving because we have exalted ourselves in our hearts in some way. So maybe the root is pride somewhere? Idk, it's kind of cool because I was pondering lately "For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." because lately life has been hardly that at all...but fortunately I wanted to know if I was missing something and someone was teaching along the lines of meekness on the radio and I tuned in briefly.

The preceding verse is "29. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest for your souls." Mt 11:29

Meek and lowly of heart, not exalted and presumptive (presumptuous). So then I have to think about and consider if I have any control over my arrogance...and then recently, this is an important facet to focus on that I thank the Lord my eyes are open to at present...meekness.

I mean, think also of how the Israelites felt for 400 years being enslaved. The Lord even said that was going to happen to Abraham.
Or you know, all those horrific deaths and persecution in the NT. Is that endearing to me? Not at this time. When I'm persecuted I consider it a trial/test. It is probably quite likely that further revelation in this area is necessary, but true understanding takes a bit of time. Even being able to speak out what I go through is an unfolding in itself...but I digress. How were they able to rejoice for being counted worthy to bear shame for his name in the NT?

There's a lot of depth to the question(s) you are asking. Few believers ask them that I've seen, but they are throughout scripture regardless. I'm open to continuing the discussion, if you find that productive. Certainly prayer should be a first resort. Also, consider fasting if you fast...it can about face one's thinking in a rather productive way, but it can also be harrowing, but it is an option.

I have not found anyone that can really answer the question without making pathetic excuses for God. When the lawyer told me that there is no God - when I drew him out I learned that he had to listen to sickening details of people who had been sexually abused by priests as children.

So you would tell him: your victims won't have been protected by God...but they'll get a peace if they pray for it. Obviously the people had no peace as they were seeking monetary damages.

I've found that those with pat answers - I'm not trying to be rude, just honest - are those who have never had their flesh raked over a pointy bed of nails and come away with jagged, bleeding flesh, with every one of your nerves on fire. Yes - I was once of that breed - I had pat answers for everything.

It's easy to have faith when you aren't in the crucible of suffering. It's easy to make excuses for a lax God when all is well: you're fed, the mortgage is paid, there's food on the table, and you have a warm bed to sleep in. But it's quite a different matter when really, really bad things have happened and God sits there and says and does nothing. It is those times that Job's wife was driven to say "Curse God and die!"
saying that God deals with people differently at different times in history is not a pathetic excuse for God.

the people that you talked about who wanted to sue for damages.
were they motivated by lack of money to buy necessities like food and clothes?
or were they motivated by a desire for revenge?

I think that's an excellent thought!

are we willing to pray a blessing on our enemies?

I'm unsure of Ezekiel because I read that Israel isn't as people have believed. Israel flies the satanic flag - which is why I looked into it. Then I found Pastor Chuck Baldwin who said that the teaching on Israel is false. I'm not really sure but I think Pastor Baldwin is about the most truthful pastor around today.

I'm unsure what I believe right now. I prayed for God to act for 15 years - I prayed for justice over a very very evil thing done to my family and I by a professing "christian." I saw her walk off and continue her evil and go on with her life after my heart was cut open - I prayed God would remove her as His word says "the wicked shall not live out half their days." Yet she still plugs on into older age spreading more evil and with me looking on wondering what's wrong with God. She's ruined lives and even contributed to someone's death. I prayed and prayed - and felt God so close I could touch Him - but still He withholds His answer and the witch lives. I told Him the trees are screaming out for justice. But He's silent.

I asked my husband and he said maybe it's not good for me to have the prayer for justice answered right now. I went back to my prayer journal twisted up with hurt and again wrote down if maybe that was my answer. And I thought that seeing justice for the evil done to my family probably wouldn't accomplish the good in me that God may want to bring about. But on the other hand - watching my heart ripped out daily isn't bringing about anything good either.

I just don't know where I am right now with God. Her evil continues to touch my family and my lives and that witch seems to skate on. She's a vile person. I prayed for her but it was as vomit in my throat. I'm pretty disgusted.

This is something that troubles me and I cannot seem to get to a place of rest within my spirit. I believe the bible but so much doesn't seem true - such as Scripture saying God is a God of Justice and yet I see injustice all around me. I have also cried out for justice numerous times and yet still I see evildoers apparently prosper.

Take Nancy Pelosi - one of the most evil politicians yet why is she still alive? Why didn't she die of the coronavirus, or why hasn't God removed her - He leaves her here to continue her wickedness. I've seen this up close too: evil people who God could have easily taken out yet He leaves them to continue doing wickedness. I know someone who has caused so many people a lot of grief yet God keeps her here. I don't usually pray for someone's death but I have prayed for her death.

Can anyone share how they came to terms with what the bible says vs what they're SEEING?
My spirit says.. God why have you spared me? Why did you allow me to live after all the sins I have done and all the EVIL WICKEDNESS that I discovered was in my heart? And then I rejoice in His Longsuffering and Mercy and I am glad that he is giving us all time to believe and receive that grace that changes our hearts by the Blood of Jesus Christ. Look within and you will find that you are far more wicked than these others you have your eyes on. And then go through that self loathing that takes place and when you get on the other side by faith in the Blood of Jesus, you will never wonder why He spares others, you will always be glad that he spared you.

Maybe - but the evil others have done I have not. If I'm to be truthful I try hard not to do wrong and yet I just dealt with a 'Christian' lie-yer who lied. I'm weary of it.

Have you prayed for hours lamenting over their souls desiring their salvation? And yet you desire them judged by God? Now who is the wicked one in that scenario?

See your own wickedness worthy of death and damnation as it really is and you will finally be free from your desire to rain fire down from heaven on others. You know not what spirit you are of. Recognize this spirit in you as evil and repent and you will be able to see clearly to help your brother find salvation and deliverance from their sin. Your weariness over the sins of others is caused by your own distorted view of your own righteousness. You are worthy of death, but you have yet to believe that is true. Therefore you find the sins of other exceedingly heinous.

Every time you feel frustrated about injustice, get on your face before God and intercede for His Mercy on them as Moses did when God was ready to wipe out the children of Israel. He said that for the Glory of God and His NAME he should spare them so that the nations would not think he was not able to save them. God is looking for people to stand in the Gap and pray for the salvation of others because his Judgment and wrath is coming and once it is poured out it will be too late for many. Let MERCY reign in your heart as it did in Jesus. Weep for the lost and when the Judgment does come, as it will come, you will be able to rejoice in the righteous judgment of God not with a heart of vindictiveness but because you have interceded for their salvation and your affection is for the Name of the Lord and His righteous judgments.

So what would you have done if your corrupt sibling and her corrupt law'yer tried to steal some of the money that your parents left you as an inheritance? You would turn the other cheek and let them have it? My other sister is weak like that and she let the conniving older witch steal her house out from under her. Yes she turned the other cheek and lost a lot of money she may need someday. That house was HER CHILDREN'S INHERITANCE NOT the older sister's. Maybe you've never dealt with vipers before.
The Lord does not ask us to simply let others harm us but we are to respect ourselves enough to protect ourselves any way we can. What isn't allowed is to go over it in our minds with "ain't it AWFUL" thoughts. We are to freely allow them the choices they make. If we allow them to take our ability to follow Christ they are taking much more than money and inheritance.

Saintrose,
Did you know someone was really mad that his brother did not share the fathers inheritance with him and he asked Jesus to make that BAD brother pay up!!!

Listen to Jesus answer to him:
13And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me. 14And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you? 15And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. 16And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: 17And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? 18And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. 19And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. 20But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? 21So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

Do you understand that Jesus is telling the brother to forget about it. To focus on serving Christ. God will take care of those that trust him and the wicked will be punished in the end. And it looks like Jesus was not happy with the brother expecting him to be a divider or an Estate Executor. So don't be that brother.

Yes I'm having some difficulty knowing when to act and when to step back. I think it's getting into the finer points of our walk with God.

The bottom line here is that America must decline in power and influence both Militarely and economically so that prophetic scripture declared by God to happen in the future must take place. America will not remain the most powerful nation in the world because another nation will rise up out of Europe that will become the most powerful nation on earth. Whe we are seeing now in America is the judgement of God on America and this judgement will not stop until America falls from it's position of strength and power it holds today and when all is said and done America as we know it today will not be the same America. Any time God was fed up or angry with Israel in the Old Testament He would lift the hedge of protection around them and allow the enemy to come in and destroy the nation. So God has lifted the protection from America and allowed evil to come in and even Christ is under attack from the Socialists.
So as for me, I am girding up my loins and getting myself as prepared as I can to endure to the end in Christ because we are going for a ride and it is not going to be a fun ride at all.
I have been warning about the Judgement of God coming to this country for several years now and my warning has fell on deaf ears but here we are today with Judgement in our country.

Because of sinful humans like me and you!!
Though we sin we are trying to maintain a life style in that looks God upon us He see's us through the shed blood of Christ and because of that when God looks at us He only see's the Righteousness of Christ. Which is why when we pray we should pray daily for the forgiveness of our sins because we sin daily whether we know it or not. The deference between Believers and non Believers is that non Believers do not rely on Christ for their covering and there are many fallen Believers who no longer live with Christ in charge of their choices. I can't see your heart but I know that America is not suffering the judgment of God because of my unbelief and steadfastness toward Christ because He is always the central focus of my world and I do the best I can not to commit un repented and wilful sin in my life but still sin happens in my life.
So with that in mind America is not suffering the Judgment of God because of mine or any other Believer like but America is suffering Judgment for the un repented sins of our nation which we are part of. Unfortunately when it rains it rains on both the just and the unjust.
Mat 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
We have Christ to help us get through any judgment that God is bringing against America even if America is destroyed.

You seem to be knowledgeable about it. It does look as if God has lifted the hedge of protection from America. I can hardly bear to read the news. God has allowed the most despicable people as our "leaders" which I think is judgment from God - such as AOC. Everything is falling around us. I just don't think that we should suffer for the sins of others. I've tried really hard to live right and have been attacked relentlessly. Satan seems to go after us the worst.

Where did you read in Scripture that America was to decline and another power arise? I'm weak on Revelations.

I'm afraid for this country. I have never felt so unsafe.

America is not spoken of anywhere in the Word of God even though we have been the greatest hub of Christianity the world has ever seen since the death and resurrection of Christ. I know that America MUST fall because we are the most powerful nation on the face of the earth in every way. The book of Revelation is indeed a complicated book but God has the tools we need to learn about what the book is telling us. Chapter 12 and 13 of the book of Revelation talks about a nation that shall arise and become the most powerful nation on earth. In chapter 12 the dragon with 7 heads and 10 horns is and will be the most powerful nation on earth. The interpretation of chapters 12 -16 is spoken of in chapter 17 starting in verse 17. The mountains are geographically located in Europe and some believe that the beast/dragon will be the re established Roman Empire. The horn in scripture always represents power and authority which means that some time in the future the EU will be no more and a nation of 10 leaders will become the dominant nation on earth. Which means that America can not remain the most powerful nation on earth because America MUST fall from its current level of power so Prophetic scripture can be fulfilled.
But you should be encouraged because through Christ we can endure all things and as long as we don't take our eyes off of Christ we will make it through no matter how bad it gets.
