There are probably hundreds of threads, many started by Jason, of the evils of osas and the sinless perfection of Jason. Many of them are misleading in that his intention is to start, yet again, another argument. I would bet 99% of his posts concern osas and sinless perfection.
Perhaps herein lies the issue:

I didn't forget it, just don't have a lot of time this week to tackle such a post yet. I have been really busy and only had time to give quick responses to short posts. But thanks for the reminder.

Side Note:

But please take note that there is probably nothing new that I have not already answered before with OSAS proponents over the many years before. It's the same ole sad excuses and bag of tricks that is ultimately set out to defend a sin and still be saved doctrine (that goes against the many warnings in the Bible, ignores morality, and cannot be made into a real world example or parable).
We're doomed from the start, for several reasons, when conversing with Jason:

First, he assumes we are "OSAS Proponents" (which means he is immediately on the defense, and assumes that we are defending some extreme OSAS doctrine).
Second, he views our posts as something to be "tackled" (something to take-down or defeat, rather than something to be considered or someone to build-up [edify in Christ]).
Lastly, he sees 'nothing new' (so he skims our posts and wanders off on long arbitrary tangents before taking the time to seriously consider what we have said, because he's heard it all and answered it all before).

He has my on ignore...I am sure of it. I know that he reports people for very minor things. He considers disagreeing with him as persecution. There was a time when I thought he might be coming around but it is my opinion that he is probably on the autism spectrum. My step son is autistic and they share some very similar traits...like an obsessive know it all attitude about whatever the pet "hobby" is. For example my son would tell you he can do backflips on his motorcycle....and he really believes it when he tells you.....but it is simply not true.

if you Love and accept your 'step-son' perhaps you should do like-wise for Jason......

after all, wouldn't this be showing/living the Love of our Saviour and Lord, Jesus Christ??

I do love an accept him...but I still call him on it when he speaks nonsense. What is more loving...ignoring bad behavior or steering him to right behavior?

If you are not an OSAS Proponent, then why do you appear to "like" or side with those who do believe that way? Just need a clear understanding on what you believe. Do you not believe you can sin and still be saved? Do you not believe you can not fall away from the faith? Or is it just the label you do not like? OSAS is merely an abbreviation for the belief known as Once Saved Always Saved. Are you saying you do not believe in OSAS or Eternal Security?
You know like 1% of people on CC believe you Jason.
Sorry but no one believes in what you teach.

Well, I don't believe in coincidences. God does everything for a reason and has a greater purpose and plan for our lives than we are aware of. Hence, the phrase: God works in mysterious ways.

As for the bulk of Romans 7: Well, you may know my opinion on Romans 7 (and probably disagree). But I think Paul was one of the rare saints (who lived very righteously before God unlike most saints - Hence why he corrected many in the church who were disobedient). I believe the bulk of Romans 7 is Paul talking from his perspective when he was a Jew who obeyed the Law of Moses. At the end of Romans 7 and Romans 8 is when he talks from his perspective as a Christian. For Romans 7:14 says he a sold under sin and in Romans 8:2 he says he is free from sin. Two different perspectives. One is either sold under sin or...... they are free from sin. It cannot be both. For those who are sold under sin are those who are still under the Law of Moses or trying to save themselves by an outward set of rules alone without the grace of Jesus Christ. For obedience is merely the fruit of God living in a person.

For the next time you read Romans 7, one thing you will notice is that it is like a build up TO..... Jesus Christ in being the solution to His struggle. For he thanks Jesus Christ. Why thank Him if nothing has changed from his old life?
This is probably going to sound like a crazy question, but why is it in present tense, not past tense if he is talking about the past?

Nothing.
I would make an effort to talk to people more, but nothing in my walk with God would change.

If we are going to be honest about regrets, it won't be concerning sin but rather getting to know the Lord through his grace and truth and through taking up a cross. Christians have a tendency to be legalistic with themselves and others because they do not know the grace of God and live in a form of righteousness without mercy and grace.

Òur redemption was obtained for us that we might know him and have a relationship with him in this life and the next one to come with no regrets. The blood has purged our conscience from dead works. When we see him we shall be like him in spirit soul and body. That is how we are to look at ourselves in this life as if we are looking into the face of Jesus Christ. We are as he is in this present world.

Never are we to get believers to look back at their old life in Adam or in any of the ways of Adam. This is what legalism does as it tries to shame believers instead of edifying and building them up in Christ.

I know what Jason would do if he only had one week to live. He'd keep flogging this same old dead horse post after post and on the last day Jesus would say....wow...what a colossal waste of time. Shame on you.

Jason, if you read that response, try to see the humor in it. It's light hearted. Go with it.

Now then, the post is comical. Too much. Can't read it without laughing. Hurts. Busting up.

Don't know if you intended this to be funny, but it is.

You know. I just find so many humorous responses.

I ain't laughing at the autism. Laughing at how you were blunt. And the real life example you gave. Oh, it is just too funny.

I am on his ignore list, also. He took himself off my friend list. Asked to come back, but he has conditions I have to meet.

Jason you ain't bad. You just stubborn. Okay. Stubborn. Stubborn. Stubborn.

As usual, going to reread the hilarious response again.

If you knew you had one week to live, what would be different in your life with God?

Would you be walking the more straight and narrow?

Would you still be continuing to live life as if you were floating along?

Would you actually strive to stop sinning more and more and live righteously in things you want to do for God?

This question applies to me just as does to everyone else here. It is a reality check. Even for me. So I am not above my own question (or questions). What I am saying is that we all need to examine ourselves more and ask God to help us to live more for Him.

Now, the question is: What would you be doing?

Living for the LORD in all you do in complete dedication in that last week?

Or would you be putting on one of those squirrel outfits so as to fly down the side of a mountain?

Or would it be just you and your family having family time only?

Granted, I am not saying there is not a time and place for everything like Ecclesiastes talks about, but what is the normal every day way we are living? What are we in complete dedication to day in and day out?

Anyways, I am wishing nothing but good things from the LORD Jesus Christ upon everyone here.
May His love shine upon you and give you warmth in your heart and life.

Please be well.

Sincerely,

~ Jason.

....
Here's how my life would be different:

-I would take the time to put all the important papers for my survivors into a fireproof lockbock... organized... so that when they need them to deal with the things that remain, it's all in one space.
-I'd include instructions on what debt they were responsible for, how to deal with what they aren't, and some cash for them to maneuver.
-I'd probably clean the house good, one more time, if I had the energy for it.
- I'd spend that time cleaning in worship... I get to go HOME soon! Daddy I'm a'commin to see ya! (see also:earthly father and my husband, quite a few relatives and other loved ones. Oh! My dear friend T.J.!!! This is going to be SUCH a party!)
- I'd tell my mama I loved her again... and that I hope that when we get to heaven that the things we've not been able to communicate effectively will be made clear.
- I'd love on my sisters and nieces and nephews
- I'd thank my inlaws for being such fantastic people and pray over them
- I would throw a HUGE party here... because Party Out and Party In, right? :) Lots of great food and time to tell the people I care about how much I do... and how much they have meant to me over the years.
- I would eat ALL the gluten containing foods EVER. Everything I have missed (because I'm not going to feel the pain of what they do to me anymore. WHY NOT?) :)

Oh... what would change between me and God? Nothing. Honestly. Aren't we supposed to live like each day is our last?

it certainly isn't intended to tear him down. Heck, looking back on my childhood I sometimes wonder if Im not mildly autistic. Not that I'm all that and a can of corn but I'll bet some of the best thinkers, inventors, leaders etc were and are on the spectrum. I'm just blunt with people but my tone and heart behind it is that I am as quirky, and loony as the next guy.

What part of BORN again don't you understand?

They WERE living in sin.

That was their OLD life and now they are made new through FAITH

You can twist scripture all you like Jason to fit your beliefs but it's not going to change my mind.

BEING BORN AGAIN WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT THROUGH FAITH SAVES YOU!

WASHED, SANCTIFIED & JUSTIFIED!
Amen to that and true....I agree fully!

The only way that could ever happen is if you aplogized for the things you said and you also renounced Once Saved Always Saved and see it as a doctrine of immorality (whereby you would have naturally repented for spreading a false gospel that leads people further into sin instead of closer to God and His good ways).
Wow. Just...Wow.
