1) not all christian colleges require their staff/profs be christians (which i find more than outrageous)

True. Case in point, "Catholic" universities have grown notorious for their secularism and not requiring professors to sign the "mandatum," an agreement to abide strictly by the magisterial teaching of the Church. As a result, there are Catholic students getting indoctrinated away from the faith.

sorry sir, i don't think that requires a secondary education. they appear to know quite a bit about that. and they're dying to learn more, based upon my observations of the jr. high girls group i volunteer for. i guess our media and television shows are eager to fill that void.

it's heart breaking.
This touches on the heart of the matter. Many parents think if they enforce a set of standards on their children the children will make those standards their own. Children will never adopt a set of standards if they do not see the value or understand the value of them. Children who exhibit behavior contrary to what they were taught are simply doing what they wanted to do but were unable to do so while at home. Some never get good leadership at home and that is regrettable but others find that the parents do not live by the standards they have set for the children. This mixed or false message is very destructive and we see the results.

Parents are told in scripture to train up a child in the way he should and he will not depart from it when he is old. We are also told not to provoke your children to wrath. Eph 6:4

Don't blame the church or the school. Plead with God and humble yourself before Him on this matter. No parent can raise their children without total dependence on the Lord's help. Even then some children must learn the hard way.
