Agreed the translations you mention have it correct. Obedience is clearly linked to salvation. We are saved to eternal life only if we continue to adhere to (Obey) all of God’s requirements.

OSAS I believe is unscriptural. Consider the following illustration: Imagine being rescued from a burning tower and the relief we would feel as we are safely taken from the building. The rescuer says: ‘ You are Safe now’. Yes we are saved from certain death. But what would happen if we decided to go back into the building for some foolish reason?
Our life would again be in danger.

Through disobedience to Christ we take ourselves out from under God’s saving grace. (Return to the burning building) The following scriptures John 15:2,6 and Hebrews 6:4-6 show the consequences of making such a foolish ,choice.
A truly saved, truly repentant, truly faithful person would never walk back in the building, If they did, as John said, they were never of us, as a dog they always return to eat their vomit, because they were always dogs, they never were made a new creature

entrust your eternity to Christ, not how good you can be, you can live the rest of your life trying your best to be obedient to god and try your best to earn your reward of eternal life, and in the end, you will still “fall short” for you will still have sinned

as you said, without faith it’s impossible to believe him, even demons believe...many in that day will recall all their great works of obedience and even supposed miracles they have done, Jesus will simply in sadness say depart from me for I never knew you
Yes, even demons believe "mental assent" that "there is one God" (James 2:19) but they do not believe in/have faith in/trust in/reliance in Jesus Christ for salvation. In other words, they do not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 16:31) and are not saved. Their trust and reliance is in Satan (and not in Jesus) as demonstrated by their rebellion in heaven and continuous evil works.

Works-salvationists typically abuse the word "obey" to support salvation obtained by works and/or "type 2 works salvation."

One example is Romans 10:16 - But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?” I've heard works-salvationists use this verse to teach that we obey the gospel by getting water baptized and/or by obey the gospel by accomplishing a check list of other works, yet Paul was simply saying that we obey the gospel by choosing to believe the gospel.

Not by works of righteousness which we have done but by his mercy he saved us

quite clear how we were saved, and it’s no by good deeds good deeds come from salvation (Eph 2:10) not for.

Obedience is clearly linked to salvation. We are saved to eternal life only if we continue to adhere to (Obey) all of God’s requirements.
Salvation is the Gift of God. Not of works, so that none may boast.

The requirements of Salvation are also the Gift of God. Otherwise, Salvation cannot be a gift. Salvation would have to be given only based on our performance at obeying all of Gods Requirements. Making Ephesians 2:8-10 false.

We are given Obedience when we come to Christ and are given Salvation. We become more and more obedient the more we abide in Christ.

Your "obedience" to any requirements of God are trash if that Obedience wasn't first given to you as His Gift.

Romans 10:3-4
3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
