Often, I appreciate your comments but this one is terrible. That understanding destroys everything Paul was working towards. Hopefully, you misspoke.

Hi Awelight,How can God work in us and mould us,if we aren’t born again?.....after all he is the Potter and we are the clay,...He wants the best for His Children.

So how can he work in me as a non believer, alienated from Him....He doesn’t recognise me?

The potter and the clay, teaches that one has been molded for one path or the other. Either to Honor, which is God's guarantee of your future, becoming a believer or the opposite, a vessel for dishonor. We are shaped and molded further throughout our walk on this temporal plane, in preparation for Eternity. This is an ongoing hewing of ourselves, which is God's work in us, after we believe. Similar, to what is taught here:

Exo_20:25 And if thou make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stones; for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.

God commanded the alter to be made of the stones as God had created them. Any attempt by man, to alter what God created, is deemed a pollution. Therefore God is the potter who originally formed us and is the Hewer, as we are shaped for Eternity.

My belief differs,....I believe my post above,God brought me to salvation, then he started His work in me/ a believer.....in Christ.

Only then can he start His work in me./ us as born again.

So,will agree to disagree, unless God shows me different.

Very well. Just remember, the truth is not our own (Subjective). We are commanded to worship God in Spirit and Truth, so the burden is upon us to come to the Truth (Objective) as we can, never being satisfied with where we are in our knowledge.

Take care and may God watch over you.
