having hands NEVER a sin! God designed us with hands... using hands in stealing YES, thats a sin, and legs foot, ankle, what ever part of body u use for stealing is a sin.

I have a feeling that some here are just laughing at the fact there are Christians that think Harry Potter is evil and then go on to stereotype such people declaring they think EVERYTHING is evil.
I only need the light of the Word to determine if something is not true(Isaiah 8:20). I dont take opinion polls, or what the majority thinks(Psalm 118:8, Jeremiah 17:5, Romans 3:4).
"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Romans 12:2
"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Philippians 4:8

Once a long time ago I was seeing someone whose mother ( or foster mother, or whatever she was) thought that Science fiction was evil. Except for star trek because she liked tthat series & the star trek movies. That told me she had double standards.
What evil is is a very subjective and touchy subject because it seems to depend on the person that says what evil is. This is What I think evil is: something that harms another of God's creatures. Either physically or spiritually. A sadist is evil because they enjoy the pain of others. As well as someone who deliberately says things that they know upset/offend another person just because they enjoy doing that. Not with the intention of trying to give helpful advice or counsel.
My parents raised me with the saying: "If you can't say anything nice, Don't say anything at all." As well as the golden rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." To this day I still try to live by those sayings, as well as some others.[/COLOR]

My brother and I were playing chess the other day...usually it is SOOOOOOO stressful, like we are really fighting each other in our minds...I did a clever move that ended in me getting his queen (I moved a pawn forward that challenged his queen, but also revealed a check with a bishop behind the pawn)...and I wanted him to see it before he messed up and I got his queen...then I begged him to take it back (something I would have never allowed or WANTED before) because I thought it was silly he missed it...then he beat me and I didn't feel as bad as when I always lost or even as bad as I would if I had won, I was at peace...but games sure do get "silly" when you want the other person to win or at least get better than they are.

thank you fighting lamb for the laughs in this post... personally i think trivial pursuit is evil and of this world... and i'm not just saying that cause i'm really BAD at it and always lose either...and dont even get me started about go fish the card game....or how evil is that old maid, did you see her face??? looks just like a WITCH! i guess old maid would be antiwitch, cause you dont wanna end up with her in the end so that would be good?
Would you also say that a stone is evil too because Cain used one to slay his brother? True, there are things on search engines that are evil, but that is the fault of the PEOPLE who put those things on them. Is a car evil because a drunk driver was in one when he ran over another person?
People, please stop looking at material objects as evil instead of the ones who made or used them to reach thier own personal goals. It is the heart of the person and not the thing they are using that is good or evil. The Lord looks at our hearts and not at the material things we have with us.

Doesnt the bible say to be as clever as foxes. Star wars can not be evil, isnt the force like the holy spirit and the midiclorians like angles, or am i reading into it too much. also as catholics we say, the Lord be with you, which is much like when they say the force be with you. Coincidence, i think not.
