Believe whatever you want. I know the truth of what I have or have not done in my life. You do not. Don't judge me by your own weaknesses.

I'm not the one doing the judging here...I was simply interjecting a little humor into a serious topic...at your expense.

Well, aren't you clever? Did you get a good chuckle out of it? You don't know me well enough to get cheeky with me.

Are you the type to make fun of strangers you don't know? I tell you what chief - if you can some day say something funny, I'll laugh.

Is it fornication?

Fornication, as used in the bible, is sexual impurity, sexual immorality.
So again I ask, is it fornication?
Hello Phil112,

Regardless of what you want to label it, anything outside of sexual relations between a husband and wife is sin, whether, adultery, fornication, self pleasuring, any sexual intimacy without being married, men with men, women with women, etc., etc. You should already know the answer to your question by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in you.

Is it wrong to masturbate? It can be, but not necessarily. It is wrong to think lustful thoughts. It is wrong to do some things where there's a possibility of being seen. It is wrong to be lazy about cleanliness and the spread of germs. Other than that, I think it's in the same category as going to the bathroom, taking a shower, scratching an itch, massaging your sore muscles. I think it can save a spouse from cheating if they are not around their spouse for a long time. I think it can save a would-be child molester, rapist, etc, if they were able to 'feed' their own body. Once a stomach knows food, it needs food- this situation is the same. But if you sin in your mind, it is the same as if you committed that sin.

I find this post very interesting. The word "Ethics" comes to mind over Morals; kind of like if it wrong for you it is not necessarily wrong for me. That is fine IF you do not build your Morals from a Biblical world view ( meaning what does God say about it) then we can choose to do or be what ever we want to; because our Ethics are just that .... ours not Gods.
is it wrong to think Lustful Thoughts? or is there an issue with the heart of the person which cause the lust to be? at the end of the day as Christians it is not what we think it should be but what God said it is how it is to be. James 1: 13-15 tells us that Lust is the problem which starts with a suggestion to do something that gratifies the flesh. When one does that it is never a good thing. To suggest that self-gradifcation could save a marriage Respectfully disagree because it is not about faithfulness it is about satifying the flesh which the Bible Tells us IT CAN Never be satisfied. You will find out that those who are additicted to sexual pervertion were self-gradifying before they cheated on their spouse. the bible says "it is the little foxes that destroy the vine" some thing that seems so harmless could be the very match that sets the whole body on fire. I guess the question should be asked would Jesus self-gradify? The bible clearly tells us NO! So Jesus is our example not the alternative to self satisfaction.

Hello Ahwatukee. You may find the source dubious, but this reminds me of something I heard Fred K Price say probably 20-25 years ago. He said a couple from the congregation came to him and asked him if oral sex was permitted in the marriage bed?

He asked them why they did not ask him if it was okay to use a Kleenex to wipe their nose after sneezing?? Then rebuked them for wanting him to validate their own fleshly desires.

When will we learn that we are more than just reproductive urges?

Once again you share undue rage. Me thinks your dinger doesn't work.

I understand your perspective but I want to share a story... I was in prison and a man in the cell next to me was in for raping am elderly women... he recognized his sin was progressive... it did not just happens that he decided to rape the old women. He worked in an old Ppls home.. he was divorced and to scratch his itch he used internet porn... the porn became progressive into worst and worst things until he found him self with and old fetish...that spurd the thought and temptation to do what he did... the same would go for a child molester. Once he start feeding that beast it will grow in him and produce worst and worst temptations for worst and worst things until he is touching a child or rape... it is like a rash... feels great to scratch but you are spreading the rash and making it worst by itching it... do you follow what I am saying.

I don't see any indication in any of these posts that anyone believes we are only reproductive urges. The fact is, that GOD created the sexual urge in humanity, and it happens to be one of the strongest urges we experience, for about a 20-30 year span.
Simply saying "just say no" is not really addressing the issue of sexual desire, and how to manage/control those urges. I have known people that would be perfectly happy to have a sexual encounter once per year. VERY low sexual drive. I have also known people that could easily have sexual encounters several times a day. Either way, this topic is one that needs to be addressed in a loving and scriptural way.... not in a "oh my goodness, you're just a PERVERT" way.

Its uncleanness,
Lev 15:16 And if any man's seed of copulation go out from him, then he shall wash all his flesh in water, and be unclean until the even.
Lev 15:17 And every garment, and every skin, whereon is the seed of copulation, shall be washed with water, and be unclean until the even.
but having sex is unclean too;
Lev 15:18 The woman also with whom man shall lie with seed of copulation, they shall both bathe themselves in water, and be unclean until the even.
Lev 15:32 This is the law of him that has an issue, and of him whose semen goes from him and is defiled with it,
Lev 22:4 And he who touches any uncleanness of a person, or a man whose semen has gone out from him,
I cant give any advice though sorry

Well... that would be true, IF we were living under Levitical law.
Which we aren't.
