Is lying another compulsion of yours? :p

No, it's not. Too bad you can't believe that there are men who don't touch themselves, but your lack of belief is your problem, not mine. My two statements are mutually exclusive. Had I meant to say the same thing, I would have. Are you dense or something?

I doubt God would be in support of binge eating and watching the Super Bowl, but I don't know if He would necessarily be "opposed" to it either.

You could say that gathering together with Christian friends, fellow-shipping and eating refreshments while watching football brings unity and closeness between believers and unbelievers of Christ. I could buy that.

You could also say that if a person is having sexual desires and is unmarried but thinks of a blank white wall while he releases is being prudent by weakening the carnal desires of the flesh so that he doesn't commit fornication in his body, mind, or heart. I could buy that too.
In theory, all of that's correct. But the moment the unmarried man imagines a partner then the act is definitely a sin. And I can say from years struggling with this sin, trying to do that act without imagining a partner is extremely difficult.

It is funny though that someone who isn't even saved yet simply doesn't do it, while the majority of the church needs prayer for it and believe they're a slave to sin while they could simply say no to their flesh because they have a new nature.
I saw this with smoking. I threw demons out, had I don't know how many people pray for me, struggled for 5 years to stop and start again with nicotin chewing gum. Lol then I saw an atheist collegue. He said: smoking is not healthy for me and he simply stopped.
The Enemy doesn't go after His own children. He goes after God's children.

Where did I say it didn't ???

What I said is it is any sexual activity done before marriage, and if a person is masturbating before marriage then 9 times out 10 they are thinking about some person (lusting). Therefore it still qualifies as Jesus showed it does not have to be the actual physical act, even lusting in the heart to want to do it is already as bad !!!
Good point, brother. I apologise. It seems we're on the same page after all.

What do you expect, sister? It was created by the one and only Jack (or one of his friends).

No, we all haven't done the deed. I've never, ever done the deed. Not once. Some of us have some semblance of self control and aren't slaves to impulses. Don't lump all of us in the same basket because most of you men are weak of will.
Why thank you for that information.
Especially after sharing all your cooking pics in the Heavenly Recipes thread last evening lol

Oops. Don't want to accidentally honour the Enemy by capitalising something other than his name.

Corrected:

The Enemy doesn't go after his own children. He goes after God's children.

There's plenty of unsaved people addicted to cigarettes or porn or whatever. The thing is the ones that stop with something on pure will power have a good self image and are not bothered by false teaching or accusations from the devil that they are a slave to sin, just a sinner saved by grace but with two natures, one sinful nature that is veeeeery powerful. They don't say they're a loser. I also see that with orthodox Jews. They simply keep commandments. They don't believe that 'we have a sinful nature'. They believe they are able to. So how much more should we know that we are the righteousness of God in Christ, our old man died with Him, we are saints, made holy, He lives in us and we are totally capable of saying no to the flesh.

Yes but the original poster said he was married and thinking of his wife who is unable to provide him with sex at the time due to a car accident. So all the points about being single are irrelevant.

True but this discussion has gone beyond the specific circumstances of the original question in many instances, such as the post in which I was responding.

This rubbish has got to stop, there must be a way for the administrator to be able to stop this person getting back on here time after time no matter what they call themselves. Why cant their IP address be linked to an alarm or something?
We will never be able to stop fools from coming on and making a fool of themselves, but we should all now how not to support their efforts and have a little wisdom (I mean, Mr administrator, on here since 3rd and 52 posts, come on please!).
Sorry, what rule have I broken? When you can think of one let me know. If you're offended by these big boy topics I'm sorry but these are real world issues that grown ups deal with every day in our society. You saw the title of the thread, if you don't like it simply click on another topic.

I agree completely. These are issues that need to be discussed by Christians.

Everytime I post you attack me with these ridiculous riddles. I usually just ignore them because I assume you're going to refill your medication soon.
More subterfuge. And you ignore everything anyway.

Not sure why all of this is mixed in the soup pot. Does the world need to know the private situation of your sister, mixed with what you were thinking about when you last masterbated? Seems your focus is out of whack here...Do a reality check!!!!!!!!
I am constantly doing the reality check. I am aware that I am weak willed, but keep trying, with God's guidance to strengthen myself. I added my sister into the mix to show that God has been speaking to me and trying to tell me that I need to be master of my body. If I feel too weak to pray I suffer for it later. He's helping me with my will power, see?

Can any of us formulate a legit argument the masturbation is moral? We are Christians... right... so we hold our selves to a standard that seems to be above the norm of society right? In society masturbation is considered to be immoral even though most ppl assume everyone else does it. Well the bible said that the sexually immoral with not inherit the kingdom of heaven. 1 Corinthians 6:9

also to the person asking on this blog... If you are asking if it is ok... it is probably because you are feeling convicted by the holy spirit and you want to explain away that nagging guilt but at the end of it all God is telling you what he wants... He knows you can do better but he loves you and that is why he is guiding you... I have been there and this is something he has been helping me through myself and I have been holding strong for him. Now that I am teaching someone on it I better hold out. lol or my daddy will punish me worst. ha ha ha Brother repent and stand against the temptation... there is no temptation we face that is not common amongst men.
1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

and well God Bless and lead you from this temptation.
