Jude 7 "eternal fire'

Torture! If you know God is going to torture you forever and ever if you reject Him,,,, then I would have to believe that heaven would be full of a bunch of people that worshipped God because they were scared of Him.

Reminds me of all the smiling faces of the Citizens of North korea when their Dear Leader tells them to be happy.

And when their Dear Leader Kim Jong il died,, they had to literally cry in the streets. And anybody that didn't cry was in trouble with the State!

Who would approach a God that Tortures His Creation out of Love? Not me.

If you believe God tortures those who reject Him for Billions upon Billions of years with no end,,, then you don't know the God I do.

I would compare a God that has an Eternal Torture Chamber to Kim Jung il,,, or Adolph Hitler,,,an evil tyrannt,, not worthy of worship.

If I had any fear that God does have an Eternal Torture Chamber where He keeps the wicked,, I wouldn't so much as enter into conversation about God. Lest He see me make a mistake and hurt me,, like many abusive parents do to their children.
Jude 1
7 even as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, in like manner giving themselves over to fornication and going after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
is in the new testament and written how many thousand years after the burning of sodom and gomorrah in the Genesis? I understand from the verse, they are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire (notice the word are, present tense).
For other of your comments, I would respect that as your right to differ, but we are talking about God, and if you think any people deserves any inch of heaven, which means to be in His presence, that's not what My God said. Even if Christ hadn't chosen to save us, God would still be just to damn all of his creation. HE IS GOD, Creator (and therefore owner) of all things. And one thing, I am not saying and believing this out of FEAR, but out of MERCY and GRATEFULNESS for such unbelieavable GIFT HE provides, HIS Own's Son's sacrifice.

Peace of Christ to you.

You can't have it both ways,,, Either Sodom and Gommorah are burning right now and everybody on the planet can see them,, or,, you are wrong about God being a Torturing Tyrannt..

Sir,, when you claim God to be a torturing tyrannt,, You have engaged in Slander against the Creator!!!!

I've showed you plenty of scriptures,, even ones that say Satan will be ashes,, as well as Humans,, ashes,,, you reject it.

Good luck. Slander is sin. Even if it is done in error.

No, when Juda wrote that verse, was it still burning?
sigh, I showed you verses, blueletterbible.org proofs on the same greek word used, and last and foremost: the WORTH of JESUS CHRIST and HOLY SPIRIT HIMSELF, which is ETERNAL.
if you claim it's just for GOD to justify wicked people like us, Christians, but it's unjust for God to punish the other way around, i'm sorry I can't help you. I believe God will though.
For now, I'll say peace of Christ.

G4JC,

re: "If you read the Bible Believe It!"

But since a person can't consciously choose to believe things, what is the person to do?

I am going with what the bible says.
The sheeps on the right will be invited to the Kingdom of His Father which has been prepared for them from the foundation of the world, and the goats on the left hand will be departed into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels. They shall go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous life into eternal. (same greek word by the way, so not only mere comparison).
Peace of Christ

What do you want that to mean? What do you want the punishment to consist of?

I don't want to read into the bible, sir. What i see there is they are going the same place as the Satan and his angels are.
For the kind of punishment, I'll let God take care of that.
This is what i believe though (as i posted in post #130).
To me, just as being in the presence of God will be an unimaginable grace more than humans can think of, the same goes with those who are denied by God to hell. whether it is gonna be absolute darkness, abyss, place of gnashing teeth, fire, etc etc, it will be even worse than any humans could think of. However, one thing for sure, His punishment will be Just. How? Because those deny the death and salvation offered by Jesus Christ, the Eternal Son of God Himself and the Truth from the Holy Spirit, Spirit of God Himself.

May His Grace be poured upon us all.

We read about the lake of fire.. We can know that Satan will marshall the wicked to surround the Holy City Jerusalem.. The Bible is clear,,fire falls on the wicked while they are surrounding the Holy City.

So,, we have a pretty clear picture of a everything around the Holy City being set on fire,, so much fire, that it becomes a literal lake of fire.

Does the fire remain burning outside the Holy City Jerusalem,, forever and ever???? Doesn't God make a new Heaven and New earth?

Does God bring the lake of fire (surface of old earth) to the New Earth?

Wouldn't bringing sin and sinners into the New Earth infect it with sin? We couldn't say that Gods universe was sinfree if sinners were alive in Gods universe.

We would have to say, that God could not defeat sin,, That He could only suppress it. We would have to admit that sin is as everlasting as God Himself is.

lol,,, folks,, God is not bringing the lake of fire into the New Earth. lol.... Those who believe that God will bring the Lake of fire into the New Earth,, so that we can watch the wicked continue to suffer forever,, are in absolute error!!!

So you don't have a personal opinion as to what the punishment should be. You would have no problem if the punishment was to consist of being separated from life (having no consciousness) for ever and ever - to be returned to the state that the person was in before they were born?

I read every single word of what you wrote. I only quoted the part that was germane to my question - which BTW you have yet to answer.
