IV talked about this in another forum but the last person the devil possessed was Emily rose a couple of years ago can't remember how many ( Watch the exorcism of Emily rose it's based on true events) anyway Emily rose was visited by Mary (Jesus mother) and was given a choice die and be free of the devil and sent to heaven or continue to be possessed by satan she chose to continue to be possessed to get everyone to believe in the devil and what an evil being he is (to this day more people are visiting her shrine)

Re: deal with it...

For this is the one about whom it has been written: "Behold, I send out My messenger (angelon) before Your face, who shall prepare Your way before You." Mal. 3:1 Truly I say to you, There has not arisen among those born of a woman any greater than John the Baptist. But the least in the kingdom of Heaven is greater than he is.

This is why it is important to pay attention to the context, context being the other words within the passage that support the subject. That being said, the word "Aggelos" is defined as "Messenger" and which is usually referring to heavenly beings. But here, since John has identified himself as that messenger of the prophesy, the we know that it is not speaking of a heavenly messenger, but of a human messenger. Another good example of the use of the word Aggelos as non heavenly beings would be the angels of the seven churches. Here I believe that the reference is to human messengers, that is, the overseers of those churches, pastors, elders. Regarding Revelation 20:1 and taking into consideration the other words in the context "coming down out of heaven" this demonstrates that the messenger is a heavenly being and is not a human being. Therefore, here the word aggelos/messenger depends on the context to determine who is being spoken of.

In regards to the messenger/angel that is coming down out of heaven, this is not in reference to Christ and that because, previous to John seeing that angel coming down out of heaven, he identified Christ as coming down out of heaven riding a white horse and therefore, that angel who binds Satan is some other heavenly angel. As I stated previously, the identity of that angel is not given nor is there any other information as to who he is and therefore, to assign him as being Christ would be by pure conjecture, an assumption, a guess.

Demonic possession is a lot more common than most think. The wisdom of men who DO NOT BELIEVE IN GOD, frequently call it Multiple Personality Disorder.

I've been saying the same thing for many years.

Study up...

This is why it is important to pay attention to the context, context being the other words within the passage that support the subject.

Since when did you start respecting context...?

That being said, the word "Aggelos" is defined as "Messenger" and which is usually referring to heavenly beings.
The word under discussion is 'angelon'.

But...thanks for admitting that it means 'messenger'...as aleady shown to you...

But here, since John has identified himself as that messenger of the prophesy, the we know that it is not speaking of a heavenly messenger, but of a human messenger.
Where was this...?

Regarding Revelation 20:1 and taking into consideration the other words in the context "coming down out of heaven" this demonstrates that the messenger is a heavenly being and is not a human being. Therefore, here the word aggelos/messenger depends on the context to determine who is being spoken of.
The context contains four epithets for The Son.....why do you continue to ignore these...?

There is no specific order in Revelation....material is repeated over and over again....

Just another example of you not paying attention. If you go back and look at my posts, I mention context over an over again.

But here, since John has identified himself as that messenger of the prophesy, the we know that it is not speaking of a heavenly messenger, but of a human messenger.

Where was this...?

Really Bowman?! If John the Baptist is the one speaking and he says that he is that messenger, then he can't be a heavenly being, now can he? We know according to scripture that Elisabeth gave birth to John and therefore, John is a human being and for that reason he cannot be a heavenly messenger. I don't know why I bother!

Why don't you pay attention? I will say it again, Jesus is mentioned as the rider coming down on the white horse. The scripture says "I saw an angel come down from heaven" which does not identify Jesus as being that angel, you're simply implying that without having any scriptural support that the angel is Jesus. Where in that verse is it inferring that the angel who is binding Satan is Jesus?

There is no specific order in Revelation....material is repeated over and over again....

The order of Revelation is just as it appears, first seal, followed by the second seal, etc., first trumpet followed by the second trumpet, etc., first bowl followed by the second bowl, etc. At the pouring out of the sixth bowl Jesus makes the following announcement"

"Look, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and remains clothed, so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed"

The fact that he makes the above announcement at the sixth bowl judgment demonstrates that he has not yet returned before that bowl. After that, the angel pours out the seventh bowl and Jesus returns sometime after that as shown in Rev.19:11-21. As he is coming down at that time, the beast and the false prophet are captured and thrown alive into the lake of fire. Following that, those kings, generals, their armies and all the people who will have been brought there by the angels, will all be killed by that double-edged sword. Following that, an angel comes down out of heaven having the key to the Abyss and seizes Satan and binds him in the Abyss for a literal thousand years. Jesus reigns during that same thousand years with the world at peace. At the end of thousand years, Satan is released, just as the scripture states, which you don't pay any attention to, and after his last deception, he is then thrown into the lake of fire where the beast and the false prophet will have been thrown a thousand years earlier. This is the chronological order of events.

The term is 'Messenger'...not 'angel' in 20.1.

You already confirmed this in the scripture I showed you.

I also showed you the context of 20.1 listing out four epithets for The Son.

Keep willfully ignoring...

IMO, Bowman is far more interested in making his thoughts public than he is in correctness or correction.

If you choose to respond to him, realize that the only ones who will benefit are any other readers who are open to the truth. This will continue unless or until he becomes teachable. I don't fault his intelligence---just his attitude.

If others are benefiting from my posts and are being lifted up and strengthened by the truth of God's word, then it makes it all worth it. But, as far as Bowman and Cassian, they seem devoid of the things of the Spirit and logical reasoning. It seems that they are more concerned with protecting their beliefs than finding out the real truth. Thats why I always say, amillennialism is one of the most destructive false teachings on the planet. Almost like brain washing. It amazes me that anyone could seriously believe that we are currently living in the millennial period and that there is no bodily resurrection, the latter being eternal life threatening. I see you contending out there as well and that because you are also zealous for the truth of God's word, which is glorifying to God. I find myself praying to God to keep from getting in the flesh over this. I have to remember that this not about "I'm right and you're wrong," but about teaching, training, correcting, rebuking and contending for the truth.

I'll see you out on the board. Have a good night!

I would be impressed to witness you young earth creationists exegetically defend your literal worldview of the scripture under discussion, for once....instead of spending your time and energy writing hate-text against others who disagree with your position.

Your position is one from weakness and insecurity.

Grow up, people...

i could not answer Yes
i could not answer no
i could not answer i don't know.

satan is both bound and not bound. Scriptures teaches that satan will be bound in the Abyss for a thousand years, this has not yet occurred. Yet satan is bound to the vicinity of the Earth, he can't leave this planet, all of which is a part of God's Master Plan. For more information on that read "The Meaning of Life". OH, I do not write hate mail. And I do not care how many times you disagree with me.

HOWEVER when you post false beliefs that contradict what the BIBLE actually says, it is my
responsibility to exposit the TRUTH, using the Scriptures themselves to VALIDATE what GOD
has really said. WHY? My posts are NOT for you, but rather they are for my younger brethren,
LEST THEY BE LED ASTRAY BY READING YOUR FALSE TEACHINGS.

Jude 1:3 (NKJV)
[SUP]3 [/SUP] Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.

Matthew 24:24 (HCSB)

[SUP]24 [/SUP] False messiahs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.

Acts 20:28-30 (HCSB)

[SUP]28 [/SUP] Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock that the Holy Spirit has appointed you to as overseers, to shepherd the church of God, which He purchased with His own blood.
[SUP]29 [/SUP] I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock.
[SUP]30 [/SUP] And men will rise up from your own number with deviant doctrines to lure the disciples into following them.

We are in that '1K' period right now, Dave.

As a self-proclaimed prophet of God, how could you not know that...?

We are in that '1K' period right now, Dave.

As a self-proclaimed prophet of God, how could you not know that...?
The reason that we know that the millennial period is not yet here is because, the man of lawlessness would have had to already have been revealed, the abomination that causes desolation would have had to have been set up, the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments would have already taken place, Christ would have returned to the earth, the beast and false prophet would have already been thrown alive into the lake of fire and then finally, that angel who comes down out of heaven having the key to the Abyss, would have seized Satan and bound him in the literal Abyss for a literal thousand years.

Also, other proofs that we are currently not living during the thousand years, is that during that time, the nations will not train for war any more and would have beat there weapons into plowshares and pruning hooks, the lion would be eating straw like the lamb, prey and predator animals and their young would be lying down to together in peace and a young child would lead them around. And if a young child was to put his hand into a cobra's den, he would not be hurt at all. If a man lives to only be a hundred years old during the millennium, he will be thought to be accursed or if he dies at a hundred, he will be thought to be a mere child.

Since we are currently NOT seeing any of those characteristics, then the millennial period has not yet begun, which means that the wrath of God must come first. The thousand years will begin after Jesus returns to end the age.
