I haven't just said "you're wrong" and left it at that. I have given Biblical reasons for not accepting the legalistic forbidding of musical instruments in worship.

You have not given a single verse to support your claim. If God truly had forbidden instrumental worship music, it would be written clearly. It is not. Musical instruments are not forbidden by God for use in worship. As such, it most definitely comes down to personal preference.

No one who respectfully and reverently uses instruments in worship is guilty of "mocking Jesus" as you suggest. That is a horrendous thing to say.

This verse is addressing the source of prophecy; that's it, that's all. It is not about interpreting Scripture. If it were, then the CoC's interpretation would be just as "private" and just as unacceptable, as any other. :)

God makes understanding scripture difficult on purpose. He wants us to study, dig, ask, seek, knock. He wants to filter out those who have no ears to hear and eyes to see. There is no private interpretation, but there are levels of understanding and growth in Christ. Babies believe that Jesus only lead by words, adults believe Jesus lead by word and by example. And they throw a tantrum when you try to explain the spiritual to them, or the big picture.

Honestly, what you write sounds like some sort of Gnosticism. Jesus still had a physical body post resurrection you know. He still ate with His disciples and they could touch Him.

Since there are musical instruments in Heaven, anyone claiming that they are excluded from worship on earth is making a false claim, totally unsupported by Scripture.

Why is there so much false teaching floating around today? No matter what the subject, someone is willing to misrepresent Bible truth.

Yes, you are correct. The Bible does warn about increasing deception in the “last days”, however, and we are obviously getting closer to Christ’s return every day. We certainly do live in confusing times.

this requires the existence of spirit
