We are aware of a very minute part of the world around us without the use of technology. From physical evidence I say that it developed over eons. I would say that people have an over inflated sense of importance in the universe but that is a theist issue in general
We can watch the creation of galaxies, stars and planets through our telescopes. Are we seeing God in action thousands of years ago? In that case it is really taking a lot more than 6 days!
