God's prescribed order of victory over sin, the world, the flesh, and the Devil is to place your Faith exclusively in who Jesus is, and what Jesus has done. By doing so this glorifies Christ that gives the Holy Spirit the legal means to drive out the enemy. The Holy Spirit, He Works strictly within the parameters of the "Finished Work" i.e., "the Cross of Christ", which demands that our Faith be exclusively in the Cross of Christ. The reason is simple, that's were the price was paid, and the victory was forever won (Romans 6:1-14; 1 Cor. 2:2; Gal. 5; Gal. 6:14; Eph. 2:13-18; Col. 2:14-15). The Holy Spirit is the sanctifier for the Christian; we cannot sanctify ourselves.
And the LORD thy God will put out those nations before thee by little and little: thou mayest not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee (Deuteronomy 7:22). The beasts of the field represent pride and self righteousness.
We learn from Deuteronomy 7:21-23, Exodus 23:30 (Type and Shadow), little by little will He remove the sin nature that is made dormant in our lives. Isaiah 28:10 says, "For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:"
How does a Believer maintain Faith exclusively in Christ and the Cross? By just believing in Jesus (who He is) and what He accomplished at Calvary Cross. Romans 4:5 - Galatians 2:19-21 NKJV - 1 Corinthians 1:18-25 NKJV - Colossians 2:11-15 NKJV
Romans 8:13 says, "If you live after the flesh, you shall die: but if you through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, you shall live." Paul warns the Believer, he said, "For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, (the) sin (nature) revived, and I died (failed God by sinning, using the flesh) (Romans 7:9)." The sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit mortifies the deed of the flesh by changing my condition into my position which is perfect and Holy because God has declared us justified (not guilt and innocent).
As a Christian we were "set free" the moment we are saved - "made free" speaks of a process. "Set Free," i.e., instantaneous - "Made Free, " i.e., You should know the truth and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32, John 14:6). "Made Free" = sanctification.
Two kinds of peace

I have struggled with this idea in the past myself. Jesus has helped me have victory and power over this sin. I thank him everyday. I never thought pornography was sin either until I learned more about it though God's Word. Unlawful thoughts of lusting caused by watching pornography is indeed SIN. Here are a few scriptures that show if your watching and lusting after pornography you are indeed sinning against God and will not inherit God's Kingdom. My prayer is that you will turn to God who will forgive you and give you the power to follow him (1 John 1:9)

Matthew 5:28,
But I say unto you, That who so ever looks on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
Matthew 19:9,
But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causes her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced commits adultery.
Jesus is referring to sin originating in the thoughts... so if we are indulging in unlawful lust in our thoughts in relation to fornication as described above we have committed adultery and guilty before God of sin and need to repent and seek God for forgiveness because if we do not we will not inherit God's Kingdom and we are not following God and are in danger of the Judgement.

I think when one looks at the porn industry in general, look at it with a pair of open eyes, one has to ask if the moral decline of society is related with the amount of pornography that is available. And now with how much ease access to such material via the internet also makes this problem worse.
From what I understand, pornography can ruin relationships. Another thing to consider, pornography can become like a drug addiction, perhaps some kind of spiritual drug addiction if that makes any sense?
Not to mention there is that much money made in the porn industry. Question is, what does the porn industry promote? In my personal opinion I think the pornography industry is a big contributing factor for the moral decline of society.

I am not sure you won your argument there. You defeated what you had proposed. There is no point to look at pornography other than to lust, and lust is what defiles your body which is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

Let's look at what is considered the works of the flesh.

Masturbation is a part of uncleanness. Wet dreams also. Masturbation is more of a waking mind and thus a voluntary sin whereas wet dreams can be of an involuntary sinful mind.
Lasciviousness, which is sexual excessiveness, is usually a result of a porn addict. One can develop an eye of adultery when one feed the wolf by way of pornography. Indeed. one can worship the outward appearance, wherein God would give them up to a reprobate mind and have gay thoughts.
Idolatry can be applied to pornography when worshipping the creature more than the Creator. Indeed, one can have inordinate affection towards that which is not real.
If we look at what the fruits of the Spirit are...
Galatians 5:[SUP]22 [/SUP]But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, [SUP]23 [/SUP]Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
The fruit temperance which is self control, testifies to the works of the flesh's power in that a saved believer can lose self control and find sin as in lust, having dominion over their lives again for which Paul points out what walking in the Spirit is as we read on from the verses above.

Idolatry can be applied to pornography when worshipping the creature more than the Creator. Indeed, one can have inordinate affection towards that which is not real.
If we look at what the fruits of the Spirit are...
