Hell is not harsh. What's harsh is how Jesus came down to this earth and died on the cross willingly and yet people spit on him and say he is in the wrong. Yes God is loving but he is also a just God. He laid the way and it is so simple to keep from going to hell but people don't turn.

{{Have you seen the mountians of people hitler torured and killed?}} By Cup: No I havent , Have you? Cup I did not see them myself but I saw it through the eyes and words of one who did. This beautiful soft spoken woman that I grew up next door to, lived and somehow survived aushwits. I saw the number that had been tatood on her arm by the germans, the scars from expearimental surgerys done without anistisia. I saw her hair that turned snow white at age 20 after witnessing her whole family murdered except one. I heard her tell of when they took her family ripping the infant child from her sisters arms and swinging it against the wall killing it instantly. She told how she managed to stay alive by passing the so called health exams. She told how she had to pull an abcesed tooth with old rusty plyers so that she would not be sent to the gas chambers and her tell of the thousands that were. I saw how she held herself when telling of what she went through. I saw her eyes... it was in her eyes that I truelly saw what she had lived through. The reason she spoke so softly was any yelling was to painful to bare because of how the guards always yelled. You may try to dismiss this but you cannot change this truth. I witnessed it through her eyes and heart and I will never forget her story. I can only imagine the anger God our father has for those that would bring any more harm or falsehood to this holocost denial. I do not know your stand on this but I would carefully consider who you would truelly offend if one were to say this did not happen. There is so much more I could say about this but I will leave it for now. God bless, pickles

Greetings,

My father was imprisoned in concentration camps during World War II, different people have different stories for various reasons. It does not seem fair to me that you should try turn this thread into a sympathy peice for old wives tales. The question I asked was regarding a statement that Hitler was responsible for the torture and murder of alot of people, this is a statement that lacks evidence that he was personally responsible.

Because your inflection of the holocost being a wives tale I responded. I spoke for one of the many that lived, this truth. My own uncle, a sargent in the US army, helped release those that survived this truth . What you choose to believe is your choice, I am not speaking to convince you or any one else. Only to bare wittness to a terrible truth. I do ask you , out of the love and compassion that Our Lord Jesus has shown me, and that same love I have for you and any other that chooses to believe. It matters not if I seem foolish to you because I know the truth. But be sure of what you choose as it is a choice that will affect your eternal life. My heart breaks for all those that are fooled. Cup? Please in the name of Our Lord Jesus be certain of what you choose, because what does matter to me is that I see you and all who love Jesus in eternity. God bless, pickles

John 14:3 - "I will come again" Jesus returns, no one goes to heaven except very rare special cases; Enoch, Elijah.

1 Peter 1:4 - An inheritence is reserved in heaven, does not mean that you go to heaven, just means that 'an inheritence is reserved in heaven'.

Luke 10:20 - a Christian's name is written in hevean, does not mean that a Christian goes to heaven, just means that your name has been recorded in heaven.
The bible does state that 142,000 will enter into heaven. :)

ah, ok :)

As we're talking about hell, I've been thinking of something:

The devil tries to ensnare all (and is sadly often successful), and the closer someone is to God, the harder he'll try right? But being close to God one can chase him away. And the "lukewarms" I guess aren't his greatest enemies. So how does he work? Only by deception? or also by force?

leading up to my real question: .. Poeple beeing possessed: are they possesed (to some extent)by own choice, or merely by the demon foring itself upon an innocent? or, iow: Can a demon possess anyone?
From what God has shown me while reading his word, demons can only enter those that allow them access. Not having the holy spirit leaves a void that demon/s can easily take advantage of. Though I think we muxt give permission some how for them to do it.

Why should Satan worry about nonbelievers? He already has them. Of couse Satan will come after those whom have or are seaking to recieve the holy spirit. From my own personal experiences I can say that Satan will use anything to get at us. The closer we stay to our lord. The least chance Satan has and less power to do anything to us.

Well I fear that the truth is not commonly known, and I know all men to be liars, so keep that in mind. Jesus says that I will be judged by His word, and we should be thankful that that is the case, because His word is true, you know that sometimes we don't choose Him, but that He chooses us.

Pickles

I have never known anyone to escape execution by pulling out a loose tooth with a pair a rusty plyers, or that that if someone wants to kill you, that they make sure that you pass a health exam first, from what I have seen of killers, is that they just kill, loose tooth or not.

Cup of rain has a good point. Also the word eternal or forever does not mean that those in hell will be tormented forever, it simply means that forever they will never ever come back to life again. And god givers us an example of the word eternal in Jude. (Jude 1:7) Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

Yet today, as we look back, Sodom and Gomorrha is not still burning.

Cup of Ruin and BLU then my bible must be wrong.

Don't fall prey to the new lovey dovey believes that God would never put people in hell for eternity. Maybe you want to start calling God Mother/Father like many caught up in this heresy do. Nor the teachings of Seventh Day adventists with soul-death.

This verse:

Jud 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

You mentioned the fires of Sodom and Gomorrah didnt burn forever, but you completely miss the point. The vengeance of eternal fire is where their souls went after being destroyed, and their very souls now are suffering, forever.

Darkness forever:

Jud 1:13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.

Mar 9:44Wheretheirwormdiethnot,andthefireisnotquenched.

The teaching of eternal hell fire is a basic Christian doctrine held throughout the past 2000 years in mainstream apostolic and protestant churches alike. Depart from the truth at your own peril.

Yes it does mean that those in hell will be tormented forever. The fire will not consume them, thus total annihilation is untrue......if that's what you are referring to.

"And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever." (Revelation 20:10)

(Eze 18:4) Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
Then when the earth burns up then what?
Psalms says the wicked are no more, and continues throughout the entire bible. (Pss 37:10) For yet a little while, and the wicked [shall] not [be]: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it [shall] not [be].
It would be cruel of God to torment people without ceasing, even the children that are born unsaved. God also talks about 40 stripes and no more punishment, there is a limit to god's punishment for God is merciful.
Moreover, God would have to bring the dead back to life again for them to experience pain and suffering, and the bible does not teach that at all.

Actually the bible does teach that there will be a resurrection of both the just and unjust:

Joh 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of ****ation.

Act 24:15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.

Only 140.000 will enter heaven? There are living 6 billion people on that earth right now. If you calculate the populations of only the last 20 centuries the only one out of 1071420 will go to heaven. One out of a million? Can't believe that. And that only calculated people who were born after 1 AD.
Where did you get that 140.000?

The problem is not that there are only 140,000 entering heaven (144,000 actually I believe)...but that they are all Jehovah's Witnesses! (according to them).

Yes, it is in the bible. I think you need to do some of the work here and look some things up for your self.
