So James White is telling us that JWs believe that:

"Michael Acrchangel stepped into the Womb and a few decades later stepped out of the Tomb."

Is that a fair summarization of the video?
Yes...............

The point the text makes is that the same body that went into that tomb was the same body that came out of that tomb. Read the gospel accounts of the resurrection.
Of course, He was, is and will be always Saint.

Who is Dr. James White?

I've never heard the JW preach that.

If they make that claim it is either true or false. On what basis do you believe their claim is true?
To disagree totally of something you need to know it, or be there, not just listen to Dr. James White says about them and agree with it.

You are in over your head young lady. If you are part of this group you need to get out. You clearly are not fully aware of everything they teach nor what the Bible has to say on these issues.

Yes, of course, just because I've passed my childhood there and doesn't agree with some lies people tell about them, it doesn't mean that. How can you get to that conclusion just because of some posts on that thread?
We are not obligated to agree one to another, even both being christians.

If you are standing in defense of their heresies then you need spend some time studying with someone who can help you. I would be happy to do that.

That's not. I've being there for many years. Ok. I'll stop here.
So Marian, are you a JW now? I've read a lot of their source material, plus I knew a woman who was a JW for 15 years. She got saved and left them and started a ministry to show JW's how even in their own Bible, Jesus is God.. She uses JW material and the Bible only.

But as oldhermit says, things may have changed since I last had them on my door step. When I brought out my theology texts and my large study Bible, they voluntarily left and never came back. Something about being on their "do not call" list.

Marian, please PM me if you want to know more about Jesus, and how he is the risen and resurrected Lord and Saviour. There is no salvation by works in the gospel of Jesus Christ. That is the most insidious thing about JW's. They don't go door to door because they want to, but because they have to to earn their salvation. Thus their soteriology is also a giant issue.

PS. My aunt was a 70 year JW when she died. Never knowing if she had done enough to be saved.

I know you're asking because someone else has asked you about the key teachings of JWs, oyster67, but can I go off on a bit of a tangent? If your friend is wanting to discuss doctrine with these people and hopes to persuade them, it won't happen unless they remove the JW's confidence in the Watchtower first. This is stressed by former JWs such as Randy Watters of Free Minds and others (Wilbur Lingle, for example).

I was reminded of this recently when I read an excellent article on the matter, which includes an approach to follow, by Neil Shenvi. Here's the link, if anyone's interested:

I'm not defending their heresies, as you're saying. Is there any good religion in the world? I don't think so... Good is God (Mark 10:18).
"Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, {and} to keep himself unspotted from the world."
James 1:27

There is however a difference between truth and error and we are charged with the discernment between them.

No, I'm not (since 1997 I guess). My father needed blood transfusion. I was 13.

I'm glad to hear you have left them. But there are a lot of wrong teachings they have, which affect our salvation. I hope and pray you have found out the truth about these things.

Kohelet above has a good link you might like to click on to read about how the JW's have two classes of Christians, and how that is not biblical!

Surely, I found salvation through our Lord Jesus, recently (few years ago), Thanks God. Thanks for caring about it, sincerely.
