Apostate Israel played the harlot before:

(Isa 1:21 KJV) How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.

And she is aptly called the Mother of Harlots in the revelation because those that adhered to her were her children just as believers in Christ are children of the heavenly Jerusalem.

(Gal 4:26 KJV) But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

And you need to take into account just who were accountable for killing the prophets:

(Mat 23:36 KJV) Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.

(Mat 23:37 KJV) O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

lol. She played the harlot by PLAYING WITH FOREIGN GODS. She slept with the enemy. That is not the same as being a prostitute. A prostitute does not cheat on her husband., She causes the husband to cheat on the wife.

Talk about trying to twist things.

I do. And where did it come from? How many saints has Israel killed lately? I would say the catholic church killed more NT believers than Israel killed prophets and believers combined. Islam is right up there with them.. So whats your point?

Yep, and it did in 70 AD. Just like lev 26 promised, and many OT prophets said it would.

But prophesy says after this occures, Jerusalem will be renewed, Israel will repent and be saved. In fact the destruction of jerusalem was foretold in daniel. BEFORE the end of the 70 weeks.

So you still have issues claiming Jerusalem was the harlot. No one in the roman world cried because jerusalem was destroyed, if anything they cheered because the evil jews were no longer a problem to them.

I don’t have a clue where you came up with the idea that I said anything about “prostitue” and that is besides the point - Babylon is said to be a harlot in revelation and Israel was called a harlot in Isa 1:21

You are just playing with words.

The Hebrew for harlot used in Isa is zanan - Strong's H2181.

The KJV translates Strongs H2181 in the following manner: ...harlot (36x), go a whoring (19x), ...whoredom (15x), whore (11x), commit fornication (3x), whorish (3x), harlot (with H802) (2x), commit (1x), continually (1x), great (1x), whore's (with H802) (1x).

(Rev 17:5 KJV) And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

Harlot in the above - Greek - porne- Strong's G4204 metaphor. an idolatress
