Thats not it at all. It says plainly as God rested..

Its not about a certain day. Its about resting from the work of the law

I have nothign against works, I do however have something against improper interpretation.

Question. Do you believe a person can forfiet their salvation?
That’s exactly what you are doing, trying to help you!
Matt. 7:21 Not every one that say Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the Will of my Father which is in heaven.
(you can’t honor Christ with your lips: we love you Lord, we believe in you, belief is an action word!
Will according to the Bible: (King David) Psalms 40:8 I delight to do thy will O my God: yea thy Law is within my heart. Gods will is the Law. and the heart is referring to his mind!

So what are you saying after He died he changed his mind
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever.
What was the purpose of the law?

What was the requirement ? What had to happen for someone to keep the law?

"It is therefore the duty of the people of God (Christians) to keep the Sabbath (Fourth of the Ten Commandments). For he (the Christian) that has entered into His (Jesus') rest, he (the Christian) hath ceased from his own works (physical labor) as God did from His (physical labor of Creation)."

Surely you don't have anything against the "reasonable service" of Christian duty?

Which law are speaking of for instance dietary: showing food you can eat and food you can’t you got to be more specific
Psalms 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure making wise the simple.
what is sin? 1 John 3:4 whosoever committed sin transgress (break) the law for sin is the transgression of the law.
Rom. 7:7 what shall we say then is the law sin? God forbid (no) Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shall not covet.

How would we know good if it wasn’t any evil to compare it to, you wouldn’t

Here is one purpose of the law: Acts 7:51 Ye stiff neck uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost (The Law) as your father’s did, so do ye. ( this what you are doing those who refuse to keep the Law.
Acts 7:53 Who has received the Law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it (Holy Ghost is the Law).

What does the word Holy mean according to the Bible
Romans 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, the Commandments holy, and just, and good.
There is just really no way to get around those Commandments lol!

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death (and we know sin is the brea king of Gods laws! 1 John 3:4)
these are not my words. psalms 68:11 The Lord gave the word great was the company of those that published it.

Jesus came to fulfil not to destroy......

Should we keep the law ?
Is the law of the ten commandments (all ten) something that we should keep?

By grace through faith
Not to gain merit with God or earn salvation
But because it is sin to transgress the law and sin is what hurts God separates us from God and life, and cost the life of Jesus.

I totally agree with Charlie24
if Jesus kept the law ( John 15:10) and you say you follow Christ why do they refuse to keep the law!
Jesus kept the law, if he did not he could not be the lamb of God. He would be a sinner like all of us.

Who said we can Keep the law? The bible says all have sinned and fall short of that standard. We failed at keeping the law along time ago and continue to fail. Thats why we need Christ.

You are to rest every seventh day from your work "as God did from His". What kind of work did God rest from, spiritual or literal? Obviously literal, so unless you're literally resting from work on Sabbath, you are guilty of breaking the 4th commandment and are just as much in trouble with God as if you refused to keep "thou shalt not steal" or "thou shalt have no other gods before Me".
Again you missed the whole point of that passage

The author did nto say you have ceased fro your work on the seventh day then start working again. He said he has ceased from his work.

God ceased from his work. His creation was complete. Nothing else needed to be done.

This is in red: Christ speaking
Matt. 19:16 And behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shallI do, that I may have eternal life? Why Callisto thou me good? there is none good but one, that is God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments .

so one came to Christ and said good master (Rabbi) what should he do to enter into the kingdom of heaven
Christ gave reverence to the Father only God is good, but if you want to enter into the Kingdom of heaven keep the commandments.

please send that scripture that says you either trust Christ 100%for salvation, or you perfectly keep the law
Did the person Jesus spoke to keep the commandments?

If he did, He did not need Christ.

There are two choices

1. Obey the law (requires perfection. Not one sin)
2. Faith in God

Abraham and others chose faith in God. Even David said sacrifice and burnt offering you did not desire. He understood the law was good and perfect. But could not save him

God didn't rest every 7th day.

He rested just the once. He was still resting on day 8 and 9. And 14.

So you need to figure out "as God did from His" because a literal repeating saturday rest isn't it. It seems like it is right to the person who thinks he is obeying the 10 commandments. For we know the Law is spiritual... Romans 7:14

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

What exactly is this rest that the Lord Jesus gives? Only for saturdays?

Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

How can it be the duty of Christians to work at the 10 commandments when we are told NOT to be entangled AGAIN with the yoke of bondage?

You understand that you contradict scripture with your philosophy? You think Christianity is just Judaism-lite? Work at commandments minus animal sacrifice and feasts?

1 Timothy 1:5-7
5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;

7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

Galatians 4:21 Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?

Laws, Commandments, Judgments, Ordinances and Statutes. Who knew.

People in captivity as slaves 400 years. They know nothing about how to run a nation. They don't know how to run a temple or its sacrificial ritual requirements are, or how to govern or collect taxes or Judical laws etc. They don't know anything about being on their own and how to serve God and the consequences there of.

The temple basically all that was left, was itself under Roman rule. Once Christ left the earth and it would be gone in 40 years. SO with no Nation, land. government etc. and soon to be no temple and no more blood sacrifices (Lamb slain) there really weren't any laws to follow anymore.

The Statutes and ordinances that went with the temple sacrifice got nailed to the cross. That pretty much leaves only the COMMANDMENTS. Not only were those written by God Himself and place IN THE ARK they were 'restated by Christs own words.

Christ came and followed the laws and FULFILLED the prophecies that were written about Him in the Laws and prophets.

The law of Moses is about doing it right. Treating God right treating each other right.

We should understand the some of the commands given to us by Christ contain the 10 commandments AMPLIFIED by a whole bunch. But that's ok because we are ALSO given the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us and help us stay on the right path.

When Christ returns to rule with a rod of iron, discipline and order will be followed. There will be laws followed and I don't think they will be of an order much different than the ones we have previously had.

So nothing was destroyed, all just got better for the time we are living. Now, all we have to do is keep up the good work. After all, we never know when He will be coming to meet us. Could be any moment. A blood clot, heart attack, car accident, slip and fall, none of us know when our last day will be, but we do know that once that moment comes, there will be no more time to do any works and those are the only things that follow us so we best have lots.

Sorry, I missed the question. The Bible does teach the grace-saved, blood-washed, born-again, child of God can throw away the gift of eternal life by ceasing to "abide in the Vine" and instead start down a non-capitulating path of "Not Thy will, but MY will be done".
