Except the entire church is not brought back with Jesus when He returns. Only those who are "asleep" does God bring with Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 4:14
14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so
them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
No, you are chopping the context out. Paul comforts those worrying about their loved ones THEN he explains the Pre Trib Rapture.
1 Thess. 4:13 But
I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For
if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so
them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord,
that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the
Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
The Thessalonians are worried that their loved ones will not be given life eternal. Paul assures them, no, don't worry, we who are alive [at the rapture] will not prevent those who are asleep (dead in Christ) from going to heaven to be with the Lord. So, Jesus will bring them that sleep in Christ (the ones you are worried about) AND as verse 15 says, we will be raised and go to be with the Lord at the same time. Now, if Paul is trying to reassure them that the dead are RAISED FIRST and thus we got to meet them in the air and thus Jesus is BRINGING THEM WITH HIM, of if he's speaking about the Second Coming (which I don't think is what he's doing) and that will happen 7 years later, either way, as we see in Rev. 29, we know the Bride marries the Lamb and returns with Jesus later. To be honest, I think that the SPLIT SECOND Paul speaks of in 1 Cor. 15 is insignificant, he's just trying to allay the Thessalonians and Corinthians fears that their loved ones will be raised and not left behind so Paul says they will be raised a SPLIT SECOND before those of us who are alive and remain.
QUESTION, if I and the wife walk hand in hand into a Supermarket and my left foot enters a fraction of a second ahead of her, did I go in first and her second or did we really walk in together? Psstt, I think Paul, IN A LETTER which he did not deem to be "Thus saith the Lord" was just saying, the will be raised just before those of us who are alive will be CHANGED from living humans to dead humans and thus living Spirit Men. Nothing more nothing less. Paulis saying that the Dead and Christ and the Living in Christ go to the clouds to be with the Lord at this time, AND the CHANGING in the TWINKLING of an eye doesn't make sense if the other ones on earth stay human and repopulates the earth does it? As a matter of fact, no Christians will be remaining on this earth so to speak of unless they are in hiding really, really well. Only the protected Jews will be alive, and the Wicked tares.
Correct. That was my point. So the first resurrection contains the tribulation saints and those who God brings with Jesus. Read 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17.
The sleeping saints are resurrected then those living saints on Earth are caught up together with the resurrected saints.
As you correctly pointed out in Revelation 20:4, that would place the return of Christ, resurrection, and rapture post-trib.
The First Resurrection with God who lives in ALL TIME AT ONCE, is the Resurrection of the Faithful. The Second Resurrection is the resurrection and judgment of the UNFAITHFUL. God, doesn't do things as we see them. Of course, ONE GAME.......can have.......FOUR QUARTERS. So, I think we are just going a little too far with that argument tbh.
The First Resurrection is the FAITHFUL over a 7 year period, the Gentiles AND Jews who were in Christ, who went to marry the Lamb in Heaven, AND the old Jewish Saints are raised at the very end, the Remnant Gentile Church seen n Rev. 12:17 and at the 5th Seal are raised at the same time and Judged in Rev. 20:4. (ALL of this is the First Resurrection, don't get hung up on our timing, God's speaking of TWO GAMES with many quarters (so to speak). If we humans can have to game and 8 quarters, surely God can also count likewise. He lives outside of time anyway.
And NO, that means that Jesus comes back with the Church at the 7th Vial.
