So what....if you choose to butcher the word and cut out scripture that you don't like or care for....too be honest...not a wise move......
I think he is being wise to go with what Jesus said if it seems to him that Paul is saying something different. Maybe later, God will explain to him what now appears to him to be a contradiction. I have to admit there are a few places where Paul seems to me to contradict Jesus. Using the vs he gave of women keeping silent appears to even contradict Paul himself to me! Because he also said there is now no longer male or female. So...He seems to even contradict his very self. So until the Spirit reconciles it, I think even Paul himself would say: follow your Lord and do everything He tells you. That is my opinion.

Good luck with what? Obedience? What's wrong with obeying the Lord's commandments?
I agree! Obey! Keep in mind Jesus spoke to people under the old covenant both condemning them and advising them a better way was coming. Everything Jesus said was true but much of it was directed to a people who had a decision to make very very soon. Jesus was giving them an ultimatum. Choose grace through love or choose death through the law.

I believe most of what Paul wrote was inspired by the Lord, but not this:

[33] For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints,
[34] the women should keep silence in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be subordinate, as even the law says.
[35] If there is anything they desire to know, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church.
[36] What! Did the word of God originate with you, or are you the only ones it has reached? 1 Cor 14:33-36 RSV
And 33, you know this how? On what basis do you believe that 1 Corinthians 14:33-36 is NOT inspired? Who told you this besides coming from your own "uninformed" opinion? What other parts of the Bible don't you believe is not inspired?

I personally don't see what the issue is, Paul wrote about both repentance and turning from sin.

Rom 6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

Christians are "under" the Law of Christ.
But there are people telling us repentance isn't important, and they are quoting Paul to make their case.

From you comments it is obvious
Jesus spoke the truth. A lot of people are telling us we don't have to obey Jesus because we are no longer under the law. I believe none of those people.

This is just a red herring. Both Jesus and Paul taught that we need to repent i.e. turn from sin and follow Jesus. So what's the problem?

If it was Christ who puts His words on Paul's tongue who do you think we should believe by coming under the authority of it.

is there any word in scripture that is not God moved or are the scriptures not an interpreation of men like Paul.

Who did Balaam believe according to spiritual words of eternal life? His Ass or the Holy Spirit who opened the mouth ?

Asses in the scriptures are used to represent the unsaved in need of redemption .God is not served by human hands/will as if He needed anything from the creature .

Num 22:28 And the LORD opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?

The same could apply to Jeremiah or any prophet that declares the word of God and not that of their own selves.

Jer 1:9 Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.

He put the words that he put into Paul's mouth into the ear of those who heard and believed God, converting their hearts and minds. He does perform all those things he appointed to us moving us by a work of His faith to believe what he has said.

Act 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

A lot of people agree with you. Does that make you right?

Darkness? Jesus led me to repent of sins I was committing, and my life was transformed. I'm not going back to the old way.
Regardless of who believes it or not....the bible teaches it....end of story!

Because the entire law is based on two commandments, one of which is that we are to love our neighbors as ourselves. How would you feel if you were told you can't talk in church?

His word is law and not some philosophical theory as an opinion of men.

Paul also spoke the truth. We do indeed have to obey Jesus, as we have to obey Paul. But not in order to be saved. It is a consequence of our being saved.

Its not a matter of feeling but obeying. Why if he loving commanded us not to speak in a assembly atmosphere would we want to?

are you now setting the Lord against the Bible?
He already set the Lord against almost half of the N.T.........even though JESUS HIMSELF called, qualified, justified, taught and sent PAUL to the GENTILE churches......

this thread is full of blasphemy
