He knew what it meant to suffer for the welfare of others,
Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. Mt:5:12
Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear their iniquity. Eze.4:4
Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. Isa.53:12

And who do you think the transgressors are.....THERE is not a just man upon the earth that does good and sins NOT........Go look the word Kosmos up and that is what JESUS died for......and to even IMPLY that you are I did not help drive the nails in the cross home reeks of a complete ignorance of who it was that actually put him on the cross..........

I believe Jesus died for our sins....according to the scriptures,
The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin. Deu.24:16
According to the scriptures, nobody dies "for" (in place of) others. Therefore, Jesus died "for" (the welfare of) others. In other words,
Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. 1Pet.1:21

I never said our sins weren't the reason Jesus died for us. I understand the word kosmos. I understand the unrepentant in the kosmos aren't going to be saved.
So when scripture says, "He made intercession for the transgressors", he means the repentant, those who prayed to God for forgiveness of their transgressions.
I believe all have sinned and need mercy. God's law shows us we are all sinners.
He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination. Pro.28:9
So intercession isn't made for the self righteous.
