Go ahead and mock all you want. It shows the spirit that is driving this behavior. This actually confirms the word I received from this morning devotions about people "mocking" and to just ignore it as the Lord said that He would be my rear defense. I'll trust Him.

2 Peter 3:3 (NASB)
[SUP]3 [/SUP] Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts,

Bless you and have a good night!

Odd... how was that mocking?
Perhaps she was simply looking for a finality to the endless bickering going on?

I can understand you asking that question and it is legitimate but...

... we know her from past encounters and mocking is a fine art but it's all good.

We just learn to ignore it and actually I should have ignored it too - it triggered my reading today in my devotions that said not to be dismayed at the mockings that will come.

2 Peter 3:3-7 NKJV
3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” 5 For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, 6 by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. 7 But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

If you want the context of the verse you posted, it refers to those who do not believe that the Lord is returning soon and come against the brethren who are earnestly waiting and praying for His return for His bride.

And may I suggest Grace777x70, if you complain about "mockers" here, perhaps you should take care in regard to how you address people who believe something different than you, but what they believe is rooted and grounded biblically. It can come across as a bit mocking at times. Just a friendly suggestion.

Thanks for pointing that out, I get nailed for context endlessly by the same, and I saw he might have missed that "comma" there which carried out the thought more completely.

I appologize for posting my gif and ruffling feathers

Thank you, I knew the context before I posted it.

The intent was to show that "mocking" is a sign of the spirit of the last days and some of us are guilty of it at times. It is something to watch out for. I'll take your comments into consideration. Thanks and have a good night

What about Luke 12 regarding those who say their master is taking too long to return and begin beating the servants?

Do you think it refers to believers or unbelievers

Yeah posting a gif showing endless fighting and wanting it to end = beating the Lord's servant LOL!

This is why a sense of humor is needful

In the last days there will be believers who will shift their eyes off of HIM and unto men

And not to do the work by HIS SPIRIT but to do the work by their own spirit thereby misrepresenting The ONE they claim to belong to

It's ok....and I went back and looked but I still don't see a "comma" but it doesn't really matter. I probably reacted too quickly too.

The constant deceitfulness that was being done was wearing and I should have obeyed 1 Cor. 15:33 - this was in my heart at the end of the going back and forth.

I apologize to you as well. Bless you and have a great night.

Actually it's continuos forgiveness that is needed more than a sense of humor

Not all may think what others think is funny. What may be funny to one may not be considered funny to someone else

But there is no confusion in forgiveness

Do unbelievers have a master who is the Lord?
Until we are born again, we are not children of God.
It's referring to believers and illustrates a warning to God's children.

Well when they are talking to you feel free to say,

and try forgiveness sometime

A sense of humor in being able to laugh at something is great, but one that just sits around and tells jokes all the time no, you are free not to laugh at what another finds funny, but you seem to desire to Lord over others
