1. Your saying an eternal, All knowing God. is going to give a gift to someone, the gift he calls eternal, secure in HIS WORK. Knowing that person would one day reject God.
2. Your assuming those who claim to be saved, then reject (thus becoming against Christ) were saved in the first place. John destroys this argument,

Who are they who departed? Those who loved the world.. The very people who claim to speak against. the sinners..It is these who will at one time claim to be a part of us, then depart and as you say "reject God"

and a huge underestimate on most people's need to repent and be washed of their sins.

We ALL hate those trying to be saved by Gods law. Even though they deny it!

When I first came here, i read many, many posts. it was clear to me immedeitely that there were different camps of people here at CC. And at nearly every point, these 2 groups battle it out.

Usually, but not always, it's the same two groups....One group believes the Sabbath is a commandment,, the other group believes Jesus is the Sabbath.

One group believes the dead are just that, dead,,, the other group thinks the dead are alive and aware and can communicate... it's always the same 2 groups that seem to differ.

you can stop right there, there are many different groups and beliefs on CC. if you think there are just TWO that hold all the same beliefs, then you haven't been paying attention.

I think it would be wiser to address and speak to each PERSON as an individual than label them in your "groups"

I have read and have been told, that as we near the end of this age, there will be 2 distinct groups of people:

Those who keep the Commandments of God & Those who do not.

From the many posts that have been displayed,, it is obvious to me that we do have an emerging christian group that teaches that we are to dismiss Gods Law.

You haven't heard John832 nor I teach that we are to dismiss Gods law, nor dismiss Jesus. But, we have been accused of keeping Gods law as if our own work has saved us even though we both claim Jesus. So,, it's obvious, that it isn't about our Savior that we have.

It's about keeping Gods Law... And Satan is highly disturbed at those who keep Gods Law and claim Jesus!!!!

The author of this Thread is also a Commandment keeper. He too is despised because of it. And all 3 of us are Sabbath keepers. Interesting eh?

Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

But God does not lavish this wonderful gift on those who will not submit to Him. He has one who is a lawless one, and doesn't need anymore.

Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

And of course Christ said...

Mat 19:16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
Mat 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

So now let me ask, did the rules change? Are there several ways to gain eternal life? Under the Old Covenant did they receive eternal life through Moses? Then at the time of Jesus did they receive by Commandment keeping? Finally after the crucifixion, are we saved by grace?

Or did what Christ really do is to save by grace, but only save those who will submit to Him?

I think it is this way with alot of churches. People are taught to listen to key words. then they automatically assume when they hear these words, they know what everyone believes.

You do not get it do you?

1. Everyone throughout all time was saved by grace, Grace means it is not earned, but is freely given.
2. Everyone who is saved by Grace WILL DO HIS COMMANDS.. thus we do not have to command them to do them, THEY WILL.. why are you screaming at people of God who are saved by grace to keep Gods commands. when God said to teach them how to do Good. Not how to NOT do bad. Do you not get it, the ten commands say do not do this or that. Gods commands say do this and do that. You want to focus on the neagtive, When God wants us to follow the positive.
3. Did the rules change? What rules? We are saved by faith in Christ and his work, and nothing else. Nothing else will save us, To say they can is to add rules and works to grace.

Or did what Christ really do is to save by grace, but only save those who will submit to Him?
