When we ask our Maker to save us, He does save us, and with that salvation comes faith. The Father brings us to Yeshua, no one else.

Now once we have experienced salvation by the rebirth by the Holy Spirit, we will do all we are given by our Father to please Him.

This comes in all forms of service. No one is earning anything, but they are saying thank you in action. Salvation inspires all kinds of actions of thanksgiving.

As far as the law is concerned, there is great wisdom and learning to be had from the study of them, or does anyone think the Old Testament is just our Father fooling around? He is serious about His great love for us, and what He has given us in His Word. Learn it! Believe it, and worship our Father........

sure hope your not a parent. You will tell your kids they never have to learn, They are doing ok as long as they obey your standard. And they do not need to learn anything. Because they have already made it.

As for me being a parent. I am a flawed parent. As I am a flawed Child of God. were it not for his blood, I would be doomed.

But that does not seem to matter to you, You think you made it.. i will continue to be the begger slamming my chest on my knees, you go ahead and be the pharisee praising God your not like me.

No. I did not Claim it. GOD DID! You better listen to him, or you will be doomed.

you are so full of yourself, you can;t find your way out to even find Christ.

John832 as well as myself, both teach that we are obey ther Lord and keep His Commandments. We both believe in Jesus and His act on the cross at Calvary is what saves us. We accept the free gift of Salvation. I think John832 will agree with me 100%.
I have given you examples, so that you might understand why we choose to obey God and keep His Commandments. You have chosen to toss aside each attempt that was made to show you why we obey God.

You have chosen continually, to declare that we seek our own rightousness by obeying God.

You are wrong in your assumptions of us.

You have claimed I can't find Christ.

You seem to only want to argue against those who choose to obey God. That alone tells me what spirit you have guiding you.

Goodluck.

No. I am tossing aside your works based Gospel.

You have not come out and said it. so I could be wrong about you. But John believes one can LOSE salvation. He does not believe eternal life means eternal. and the seal and guarantee of the spirit means anything.

I believe I am saved eternally by the blood. I am not perfect. and do not declare to be perfect. In fact the more i grow in Christ, the more sinful I see myself. Because the more I learn about HIS TRUE CHARACTER. that is why you will never see me say I am righteous. or I am holy according to some law. because all the law can do is condemn me and show me my faults.

Your examples are faulty because they are based on MANS morals. NOT Gods.. Many people think they are right because they do not commit adultry, Murder, Fornication, Steel, etc etc. I do not do any of those things either.. But that does not make me righteous. Because the other sins (which most people seem to like to ignore) I have cause me to be a sinner earning condemnation.

Maybe you. But not John, He says it, But his teachings do not agree with it.

You have claimed I can't find Christ.
if your trying to find Christ by the law. and think you found him because you are not as bad as hitler and others like him, You won't find Christ until you look at him in his eyes, and not your eyes.

You seem to only want to argue against those who choose to obey God. That alone tells me what spirit you have guiding you.

Goodluck.
you can want to obey God all you want. if your not born of him, Have his spirit in you, and follow him BECAUSE OF THIS, knowing he will not kick you out of his family because you screw up. you are following for the wrong reasons. And your works will get you no where.

Works of faith are different than works of law. The former is fruit from abiding in Christ; the latter is man's attempts to justify himself.
Amen

The works of Abraham were of faith. Not law. He had no law. This is how we are to work.

Those who attempt to work by law are like the pharisee.

Thats the difference. We have to go back to abraham, And work like he did. Not under law. To find righteousness which comes of faith.

This is true. The law is useful for edification in righteousness, but not for righteousness itself.

But we know that the law [is] good, if a man use it lawfully knowing that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 1 Timothy 1:8-9

I sure hope you are not a parent,, because you would always belittle your kids,, always telling them they are not good. Would you also tell them to quit trying to walk? Afterall, they will only fall....Right? And if they fall once,, haven't they screwed up the perfect walk????? So,, stay down kid,, no sense trying to walk, you will only fail at some other point. Right???

I'm not as evil as Hitler,, and for you make that rediculous claim shows me that whoever has been giving you your little green merit badges is as confused as you are. Wise up,, are you really going to sit here and claim I wanted the whole jewish race eliminated???? That's what Hitler wanted.. And here you are claiming I'm just as evil as Adolph Hitler???

You are full of more stuffing than a Christmas Turkey.

This is all great, if your doing it because you have been born again of God.

But this is not what many are saying. they are saying ye MUST do these things or you will not be saved, or will lose your salvation. (both deceptions from satan)

when the truth is this.

[SUP]9 [/SUP]Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.

Whoever is born of God DOES obey his commands. It is not a question of will they obey or not. THEY WILL. Why? THEY have been BORN OF GOD.

No one is talking about righteousnous or self-righteousness, we are speaking of the Word of Yahweh, God, from Genesis to the amen of Revelation. What prompts you to think in such terms? Not the content of my post that is certain.

I agree with john832 on all points i've seen so far. I don't believe he is keeping the Commandments as a means of seeking his own rightousness. I think you are wrong about him.

I too, believe we can lose our salvation. We always have the choice to reject God. There are plenty of scriptures to back up losing ones salvation. Even the bible declares the heart of man is evil, who can know it?

Now,, back to Hitler. I certainly understand that Hitler and I are both worthy of death. But,,, the comparisons STOP, right there. And this is why:

Jesus said some will recieve a few stripes and some will recieve many. Actually, to be quite honest, Jesus was talking about how long the wicked are punished in the lake of fire before being destroyed.

If you want to compare my sins with the sins of Hitler, there is a huge difference. If i'm not saved, I will not burn for as long as Hitler does. Afterall,, I didn't attempt to kill off an entire race of people. Hitler did. And guess what,, Satan will burn longer than Hitler does. So to compare the final outcome,, which is ashes,, is fine. But in no way do my sins measure up to those of Hitlers. I'm sorry you took it out of context and had me comparing myself and hitler before God as if hitler is trash and I am everything that glitters. I've read that scripture. I knew you would pounce on it as soon as I sent it,, and you did.

John832 claims Christ Crucified for his Salvation. Not anything of himself. I know he doesn't need my to vouch for him,, but I just did. I've read plenty of his posts. He certainly has conveyed to me that he depends on Jesus for his Salvation and no works of himself.

When Jesus comes, we shall see who has the problem, me or you.
But right now,, only 1 of us seems to be saved.
wow you feel qualified to judge someone else's salvation?

I don't care why you keep the law,, just that you keep it.
that's the problem. YOU may not care why, But GOD cares.

You are so fixed on people outwardly keeping the laws that you don't really care about THEM and their spiritual well being at all.

A lot of people who pound others over the head with the outward keeping of the law don't really understand the inward purpose.

Like the commandments for people to be circumcised, or wear tassles or make animal sacrifices for sin.

If you think keeping the law saves you,, good, keep it.
no its not good because they believe a lie and are not lead to CHRIST and His Salvation.

If you think keeping the law is obeying Jesus, good keep it.
would you make a distinction between obeying Jesus and keeping the OT laws?

If you keep the law because you know that you dont need a savior, good, do it.
???? its good to have people walking around self-righteous and deluded who think they can keep the law perfectly and do not need Jesus?

If you break the law and say you cannot keep it,,,, don't ask to babysit my kids, and don't fill out an application for a job at my business,, I cannot use you. I do not trust you.
so why do you trust yourself?

oh wait what happens

if you break the law, deny breaking it and say you really kept it all along?

Wonder why so many people HATE God's Law?

Psa 119:97 MEM. O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.

Psa 119:113 SAMECH. I hate vain thoughts: but thy law do I love.

Psa 119:163 I hate and abhor lying: but thy law do I love.

Psa 119:165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

And this one...

Psa 119:172 My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.

Psa 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
Psa 19:8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
Psa 19:9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
Psa 19:10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Psa 19:11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
Psa 19:12 Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.
Psa 19:13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
Psa 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

I gotta go with David (a man after God's own heart) on this one.

You missed the whole point,, the whole point,,,, And that is,,, I don't care why you keep the law.. it's totally up to you why you keep it.

If you are not keeping the law, that means you are breaking the law. Which means I have to buy locks for my doors and keep my money in a safe. Italso means I have to buy insurance,,,, all because some violate the law.

So,, keep the law,, if it saves you,, keep it,, if it doesnt save you, keep it anyways...... don't you see that keeping the law is a good thing?

It means you are not out killing and raping and stealing!!!!!

I will Judge the Salvation of anybody that teaches we are NOT to obey God. I will say it quite clearly,, if you believe that you can break Gods law and you teach others to do so,, you are Ashes!

Some here have taught repeatedly that keeping Gods law is a bad thing!!!!!!!

I would rather live next to a law abiding Atheist,, than a lawless person who makes the false claim they are a christian and attempt to stand under the banner of Christ, when they pay no attention to anything he commands them.

I merely judged the teaching and what the Bible says will become of those who teach that it is okay to break Gods Commandments. And I stand by it.....

You have not heard me say,,, you are lost forever,, Salvation is no longer offered to you.

But I have no problem telling folks they will be ashes if they teach men to disobey God.

there is a distinction between manmade laws and God's laws that seem to be lost way too often.

and a huge underestimate on most people's need to repent and be washed of their sins.

I don't hate God's law.

I hate whitewashed tombs.
There you go again.. If you got somthing to say,, say it,,, why play word games? Big deal if we get a little on edge over religious themes. This stuff is life and death.

When I first came here, i read many, many posts. it was clear to me immedeitely that there were different camps of people here at CC. And at nearly every point, these 2 groups battle it out.

Usually, but not always, it's the same two groups....One group believes the Sabbath is a commandment,, the other group believes Jesus is the Sabbath.

One group believes the dead are just that, dead,,, the other group thinks the dead are alive and aware and can communicate... it's always the same 2 groups that seem to differ.

I have read and have been told, that as we near the end of this age, there will be 2 distinct groups of people:

Those who keep the Commandments of God & Those who do not.

From the many posts that have been displayed,, it is obvious to me that we do have an emerging christian group that teaches that we are to dismiss Gods Law.

It's okay to get your blood pressure up... If you are one to always up and cry "Foul",, I would keep the subject of Religion to myself.

I expect to have my patience tried now and then. I expect to be frustrated when talkinmg about Religious themes.. This is personal stuff.. When you disagree with sombody,, somtimes they tend to take offense.

I say relax...have a cool drink,, and be glad religious themes are on your mind. Worse things await idle minds.

I appreciate the banter I get,,many times it has motivated me to find a scripture, and one thing leads to another, and I find that I've spent nearly all reading and studying Gods word. My house is a mess,, but,, I'm where I want to be,, in Gods Bible, contemplating Godly themes.

Have a nice day!

I agree with john832 on all points i've seen so far. I don't believe he is keeping the Commandments as a means of seeking his own rightousness. I think you are wrong about him.

Well he must be telling you something different then he is telling me..

I too, believe we can lose our salvation.
I rest my case. Nothing more needs to be said, You to are depending on yourself to save yourself. And not God to save you. Thanks for proving what I have been saying is correct.

We always have the choice to reject God. There are plenty of scriptures to back up losing ones salvation. Even the bible declares the heart of man is evil, who can know it?
No, There is only scripture taken out of context.

Here is what is wrong

1. Your saying an eternal, All knowing God. is going to give a gift to someone, the gift he calls eternal, secure in HIS WORK. Knowing that person would one day reject God.
2. Your assuming those who claim to be saved, then reject (thus becoming against Christ) were saved in the first place. John destroys this argument,

"They departed because they were NOT OF US, If they WERE OF US, THEY NEVER WOULD HAVE DEPARTED".

You know the context of this passage right?

[SUP]15 [/SUP]Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. [SUP]16 [/SUP]For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. [SUP]17 [/SUP]And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

[SUP]18 [/SUP]Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the[SUP][c][/SUP] Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. [SUP]19 [/SUP]They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.

[SUP]20 [/SUP]But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things

Who are they who departed? Those who loved the world.. The very people who claim to speak against. the sinners..It is these who will at one time claim to be a part of us, then depart and as you say "reject God"

They never lost salvation. THEY NEVER HAD IT!

Oh so now you do not believe eternal damnation is eternal either huh??

Hitler. You ever heard of a Guy names saul? He was a famous NT murderer of Christians.. He was exactly like hitler. He wanted all Christians dead.. You remember him? He later became Paul and wrote half the NT. Everyone is guilty, and everyone is deserving. There are NO RIGHT people on earth. Even Hitler had a chance to repent (if he chose) trying to compair yourself with him is like the pharisees trying to compair themselves with evil sinners. Because they did what they could to "obey Gods laws"

And yuo wonder why people claim you sound like them. you use the same arguments!

If you want to compare my sins with the sins of Hitler, there is a huge difference.
No, there is not. James said if you break the least of the law, your guilty of the WHOLE LAW. In God eyes, YOU BOTH ARE JUST AS GUILTY!

Take yourself away from phariseeism, and look at your life in the eyes of God. Stop compairing yourself to others and fool yourself into thinking your more rightious.

And why should I not? Do you think it matters what hitler did? All sin is evil in Gods sight. There are not less evil sins. You think you are more right because your did not try do what Hitler did? Your decieving yourself.

and PS. If you think you will not burn as much as anyone in Hell. your more dangerous then John is,, Hell is eternal. The fire will never be quenched, there will be weeping and nashing of teeth. Don;t give people hope thinking they may one day get out of hell because they were good. This is a lie.

John832 claims Christ Crucified for his Salvation. Not anything of himself. I know he doesn't need my to vouch for him,, but I just did. I've read plenty of his posts. He certainly has conveyed to me that he depends on Jesus for his Salvation and no works of himself.
Coming from you this does not mean much, You both are decieving yourselves by thinking your not trying to earn salvation. When you are. Anyone who does not believe in eternal security based on the work of God and the promises of God alone, are trying to earn it. You can deny it until your blue in the face. It does not make it true!
