This is abomination.

This is purposely twisting scripture to place people back under the Law and rebuild the partition that the Lord Jesus Has already taken down.

The 10 commandments are against us. They are contrary to us.

The lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life... this is what we know from childhood, by instinct, naturally. The 10 commandments are against that at every step. Contrary to us...

The Lord Jesus took that away. We no longer have to obey perfectly the 10 commandments in order to come before God and be blessed by Him. The friend of sinners...

If you don't know that then you have this fearful condemnation over your head all the time because you know that you don't perfectly obey Him.

If you say "well he forgives us when we ask Him after we break His Commandments".

Yes He Does! So why stray from that perfect forgiveness back into the power of your own carnal mind and flesh? Stay abiding in Him and His mercy and forgiveness... That is what is meant by 'there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus'.

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Who walk not after the flesh. Who are not under the law to perform it in their flesh. Who don't use the power of their flesh and carnal mind to walk in the Perfect Way of Christ.

How is this accomplished? By faith in His Finished Work. Faith in His Blood. Faith in His Goodness. Faith in His Leading and His Wisdom. By Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Does this faith break any laws? No!!! It establishes the Law.

Its amazing how the forgiven person who knows he is forgiven walks in his forgiveness.

Its sad how the person who walks in the power of their own flesh keeps walking in the power of the flesh.

I hope you know that I'm not telling you this because I am against you. I'm telling you this because I remember when I used to twist the Law to make it mean something that I could think I was obeying in my flesh. That way I could think in my (deranged) mind that I was good with God because I was "keeping" His commandments...

I'm basically a good person, I thought. I don't break any of the commandments, I thought. How ignorant and foolish I was...
I don't understand your reasoning. The ten commandments were written by God. Jesus said "if you love Me, keep my commandments." The commandments that were fulfilled obviously were about the sacrifices since Jesus was the perfect lamb. He fulfilled that law by dying on the cross. Now He's our high priest in heaven. Do you believe it's OK to murder now, to lie, to steal, to commit adultery, to worship idols, to put other god's before Him, to not love God with all your heart soul and mind? Exactly which laws did Jesus free us from? He freed us from the sin sacrifice. He didn't free us from living a life without sin. He did free us from sin. The law tells us what sin is.

Forgive me if I misunderstood your post.

So you have a problem saying the word Cross? Maybe the demons inside you hate that word?

Of course it does not matter if Christ died on a stake, tree or Cross. The important thing is that He did and dealt a crushing defeat to satan and his minions. To me, it underscores your hatred for truth.

How many nails are required for an execution on a stake? Answer: One.
How many nails are required for an execution on the cross? Answer: Two

How would you place a sign on a stake? Answer: Above his hands.
How would you place a sign on a cross? Answer: Above his head.

It is just common sense that Jesus died on a pole with a cross member and not a stake. Then again common sense is non-existent in the theology of the cults.
You're calling someone's belief a cult because they call the cross a stake?

Gen 26:2 And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:
Gen 26:3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;
Gen 26:4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;
Gen 26:5 Because that Abraham obeyed my (GOD'S) voice, and kept my (GOD'S) charge, my (GOD'S) commandments, my(GOD'S) statutes, and my (GOD'S) laws. ......

No. I am calling someone's belief a cult because their beliefs are contrary to the doctrines of historic Christianity. It makes no difference how Christ died ( stake or cross or tree).

It seems there are people on cc who prefer to debate than dig for gold.
Laodicea, I have never told you how I really feel about you. So here it is.

I think you are sincere in your beliefs. I think you are a kind person and inspite of our differences, I would be proud to have you as a neighbor, even if you are a Kiwi. Just because I differ with you on theology does not mean I hate you. Instead I am concerned for you and hope to see you in Heaven with me.

This will only happen when we get to heaven.

Even david, a man after Gods heart, who was called righteous, could not achieve sinlessness. Paul did not. Peter sure did not, a few of his sins we are shown.

so why do you think these great, humble people of God could not do it. but someone else could?
You see EG this is where yuo and I do not come to the same DOCTRINE... I believe this new heart and spirit is the heart and spirit we get at REBIRTH, right here on earth....

You ask why I believe these great humble people of God.... Who is great and humble, John the Baptist was the greatest and even he is the SMALLEST in the kingdom.... Are reborn people in the kingdom or not? Yes they are, so even they are bigger than John the Baptist (or better put, than the Holy Eliah, who was John the Baptist.

Eternallygreatful, you still do not know who a EBORN person is.... All people who are born of God is IN CHRIST,,,, ALREADY IN HEAVEN.... They are NOT of this world. they ARE NOT BORN OF THIS WORLD but of GOD. And they WILL KEEP ALL OF GOD'S COMMANDMENTS..... ALL!!!! Why, Because GOD WILL CAUSE THEM TO WITH THE NEW SPIRIT IN THEM....

A Child of God, is exactly that.... A CHILD OF GOD, LIKE JESUS!!!!! If rebirth is ANYTHING less, GOD IS A FAILURE.... God's REBIRTH is to make a person a KINGDOM CHILD... GODLY PERSON.

Do not judge Peter and Paul, you know nothing about them. They were as Holy as God is Holy, that means they CANNOT SIN. Paul would be upset if you judge him to be a sinner....Read Romans 3:7.
And if you want to judge, judge with righteous judgment, and any person that wants to do that has to be as righteous as God is righteous,,,, Of what you yourself says you are not, so you CCANNOT judge, not Paul and not Peter and no even yourself.... You have to learn some and obey some before you get there... Let me just tell you neither Paul nor Peter were sinners, and even David was a sinner before God changed him. But AFTER God completed them they were all PERFECT.

If you want we can go through the steps one by one, I cannot find ANYTHING against any of God's people, they were indeed PERFECT. So much so, that I can see Jesus in them, in every

Eternally-greatful. Show me the sin of Peter please.... And I will show you your error. Warning... if you want to judge, judge with a righteous judgment, John 7:24. But hw can you, when you yourself admit you are unrighteous (sinner)
Show me Peter's sins AFTER HE RECEIVED THE HOLY SPIRIT IN FULL!

What did Paul sin in? I thought God said PAul would be HIS VESSEL.... does that not mean GOD PACKS THE VESSEL FOR HIS USE? And if that is not a perfect vessel, God has flause, and we know HE HAS NONE.

You still do not understand REBIRTH FROM GOD, first get that right before you judge God's People. God said John the baptist is the greatest, and HE DID NOT SIN EVER, and yet Jesus says HE IS THE SMALLEST IN THE KINGDOM, meaning every REBORN IS BIGGER THAN JOHN THE BAPTIST...

EG, when do you ENTER INTO CHRIST? Only when you go to heaven, or right here on earth? What does it mean to ENTER INTO CHRIST? It means you are BIGGER THAT JOHN THE BAPTIST.... And how big was John, how big are Jesus, and those that enter into Him?

I think ALL Reborn are as perfect as Jesus, becasue HE SAYS SO. I believe this becasue it is noted in HIS WORD, what GOD TOLD HIM TO SAY. I believe EVERY person in Christ is as holy and perfet as Christ, because GOD SAYS SO!

Insignificant, written by two different people centuries apart
This post explains a lot. All come from the same author, God Almighty, who throughout the 6000 year history of man has always been consistent and said the same thing through many different people...

Jas 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Secondly, you seem to think that some scripture is valid and other scripture is not...

2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

'Tis no wonder we do not see things the same and ne'er the twain shall meet.

The word rested means sabbath, God kept the sabbath. Adam & Eve were created the 6th day and the next the kept the sabbath with God
that is an assumption you make by inserting your beliefs into the Bible, but its not clearly written there.

Its says that God rested on the Seventh day in Genesis but it does NOT say that people had to observe the Sabbath rest at that time. the rest was only added after sin entered into the world.
Let's examine that statement...

Exo 16:23 And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.

Now this was said prior to the supposed giving of the Law at Sinai (Sinai was simply a restating and codifying of the Law already in existence). And then God goes on to add...

Exo 16:28 And the LORD said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?

Now this is specifically referencing the Sabbath as a Law that was already in full force and effect.

Exo 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exo 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
Exo 20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
Exo 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

When did God bless and hallow (make holy) the Sabbath day? Verse 11 says that He did this creation week, the very first seventh day that existed was the Sabbath and has been ever since.

Abraham kept what Laws?

Gen 26:5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

laws:

H8451
תּרה תּורה
tôrâh tôrâh
to-raw', to-raw'
From H3384; a precept or statute, especially the Decalogue or Pentateuch: - law.

The Torah which included the Sabbath.

Now, do you really suppose that God had different Laws for Israel prior to Sinai. Did He have different Laws for the Gentiles? We only have the Torah revealed in the pages of the Bible. If He had different Laws here and there, I wonder what Laws apply to us today? We are not directly mentioned in the New Testament, only the 1st century church is. So maybe there are different Laws for us today. Maybe God has different Laws for Cambodia than He has for the U.S. How would you know? He seems to have different Laws for everybody.

NO HE DOES NOT!

Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

God has the same Laws for all of us today that He had in the 1st century that He had at Sinai that He had prior to Sinai that He had at creation.

Jas 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

God is absolutely, one hundred percent, consistent. His Law has been in effect and force here since creation.

There is no commandment to observe the first day of the week as the sabbath, though there is a commandment to keep the seventh day separate. It was given by the Father for His children to have one day a week to rest, and be with God, not that they we are not always with Him, the Seventh day is Separate.

If anyone observes this Seventh Day on the first day, we are taught by the Word it is perfectly alright as long as the one observing it in lieu of the commanded day has a clear conscience in the sight of God. I will not condemn anyone for any reason especially for doing something we are taught is allowable.

Again there is no commandment to observe the first day as the Sabbath, therefore there should be no argument from anyone whether I prefer to observe the Seventh Day, or any day for that matter.

Also, any day may be designated a day of rest or sabbath, according to the Word, but according to the Word the Seventh Day is the one designated by God as the separate Sabbath. If anyone wishes to continue contention on this point after the Old Testament and the New have explained all quite well, by all means continue, but you will be banging your heads against a wall.
