If i was part of the Law of Moses i would be of an eye for an eye, instead of forgiving the person as i'm taught by the Messiah.
Isn't that more of an example of the penalty of breaking the law before Christ's sacrifice? Obviously we don't go around putting other people's eyes out now that we're no longer under the law. lol. No, we'd just forgive a person if he puts ours out (though that would be a challenge, I'll admit). ;)

Be honest, you are not against 'em, you just don't want to keep that pesky fourth one.
That's cause it's such a bother to change. Ha. And you'd get picked on so much.

The Apostle John being one of those "some"...

Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
No. John did not say obay or else. John said blessed are they that do them..

As I showed. Those born of God DO DO THEM.. Because they are born of God. Why do you want to make John contradict himself?

Actually, you are the one who keeps saying that those of us who beleive we should obey are obeying because we fear God and we are obeying because we believe that obedience saves us.

Nope you say it everytime you say one can lose salvation.

We have been saying all along that we are saved by grace but God requires obedience. Now if God does not require obedience, unrepentant child molesters, rapists and murderers are welcomed right into the Kingdom.
lol.. No they would not make it to heaven. Because they are unrepentant. Anyone who has not repented does not have faith. Thus they would never have been saved.

Your trying to twist things. and puff yourself up.. When God wants you to humble yourself. And admit you are no better then they are (the law proves this) and you need his grace just as much as they do!

Paul understood this, David and even John understood this. I must wonder when you will understand this

Obeying the sabbath under grace and the aid of the Holy Spirit is what Jesus asked us to do if we love Him. Again, obviously it's only by His grace that its even made possible.
I'm beginning to see that some people view Jesus as being a performance enhancing drug that enables them to keep the 10 commandments; instead of him being a life that kept the 10 commandments; a life that they are commanded to live in.

OK, I'll be honest... If I thought that was what obedience was about, I would keep it (as you interpret it). And, IMO, you are a fool and liar by claiming you keep it.

Being in the grace of Yeshua, we understand the desire to be obedient. Disputing with those who believe obedience is akin to bringing back the curse of the law is of no avail to us who are living in the freedom and grace afforded by the Blood of the Lamb of Yahweh. It is best to leave it for others to toil over, since it is no longer a burden for us.

Keep in mind these people will not even read the law for the wisdom found therein, therefor for either of us to contend on it is unfruitful because those who do not understand do not have the freedom given us.
There is a big difference between obedience and what you describe.

You attempt to obey by the power of your flesh. You think that is obedience. Its not.

The power of the Spirit Gives obedience. Causes obedience.

This only would I learn of you, received ye the Spirit by the works of the Law???

Does the work of your flesh cause you to grow spiritual fruit? Nope. Big, fat, un-profitable, nope.

The work of your flesh causes the work of the flesh.

Galatians 5:16-21
[SUP]16 [/SUP]This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
[SUP]20 [/SUP]Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
[SUP]21 [/SUP]Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Can your flesh cause your flesh to stop its own works??? No. Of course not. There is a way that seems right unto a man but the end thereof is death. You know, the ministry of death, written on stones... Pretending you obey Gods Law in your flesh seems right to you because you then think you are forgiven "if" you fail... the eternal safety net, just in case... Will the work of your flesh cause you to be born of the Spirit???

Does the work of your flesh cause any fruit of the Spirit to grow??

You know its only by this fruit of the spirit that any of Gods commandments are kept. Did you know that? And we don't cause it by the power of our flesh or carnal mind...

Anybody that obeys God, you claim is "puffed up". You've said to me, you've said to John832. And you are as wrong as you can be.

It's obvious, you despise Gods Law, as well as those who obey it.

What I want to know, is why? It's not like I'm making this stuff up either. It's quite apparent, that anybody that obeys God, you have a problem with......Why?

It's getting to the point, that you are being quite redundant.

All thru the scripture we are commanded to obey God. And you seem to have a problem with anybody that does that (obeys God).

There is only 1 other person , that I know of, that has a problem with those who keep Gods Commands:

" And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the Commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus." Revelation 12:17

Telling us we are "Puffed up" because we Obey God,, is sounding like you are being led by a dragon,,, not Jesus.

Sophistry...

GOD's good pleasure is for us to rest in the new life he has given us. That is righteousness.

I notice that most leave out verse 9. I understand why, it does not support your position because it declares the Sabbath is still to be kept.

Heb 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

And we all know that the word rest here is not katapausis, it is Sabbatismos and the meaning of it is a keeping of the Sabbath.

The Diaglott renders this verse nicely...

Heb 4:9 Therefore remains a keeping of a sabbath for the people of the God. .
Yes a keeping of the sabbath. The rest that is in God. Resting in His Finished Work. There is no more work for you to do to be saved. You can rest because God is Finished.

And again, the premise here is that someone believes that they are justified by works, saved by works or whatever. God saves us through faith that is not even ours, it is the faith of Christ. Difference is that some of us are striving to do what God says to do. Obey Him, which is our patience...

And again the Diaglott renders it nicely...

Rev 14:12 Here patient endurance of the holy ones is, those keeping the commandments of the God, and the faith of Jesus.
Obey Him. Striving.

Why don't you come to Him and your striving will cease. You won't have to work at obeying. Your work fails, as you have probably noticed...

Matthew 11:28-30
[SUP]28 [/SUP]Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
[SUP]29 [/SUP]Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
[SUP]30 [/SUP]For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

He will GIVE you rest. His Work doesn't fail.

Let's try this...

Congratulations on keeping the commandments...

Congratulations on your obedience to God.

If only I knew what you knew, what wisdom you must have. You don't murder or lie and you take saturdays off. That seems pretty easy.

Is there anything else or is that pretty much it?

What did the Lord say when the young man said he kept the commandments since his youth.

One thing you lack...

Revelation 12:10-11
[SUP]10 [/SUP]And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. [SUP]11 [/SUP]And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

What is the word of their testimony? It is that the Lord Jesus has saved us and has given us His Holy Spirit. This Spirit sheds love, peace, joy through our hearts. He has turned our hearts of stone into hearts of flesh. This is what keeps the commandments. And He gives it to us freely. Its His Free Gift.

Its not our love that fulfills the law. Its His Love that has fulfilled the law. He Loved us first. We respond to Him. His Great Blessing of us causes us to be a blessing to others, in a smaller degree.

His Law is for transgressors. To bring them to Him. So He can give them the Holy Spirit and they can stop being transgressors. So they can share His Love by faith.

Galatians 3:11-12
[SUP]11 [/SUP]But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

Who is the Author and Finisher of our Faith?

Who do we abide in?

Who gives us Rest?

Who do we look to?

There is power in the Name of Jesus. To Break Every Chain. The Lord Jesus Christ is my final answer.

Once more you come up with scripture that has nothing to do with the understanding shared. Just say it, you do not want to hear what is being said about obeying the Father.

You do not believe the Father cares if His children are obedient. Oh, and don't forget, everything is done for them so they may as well be in the kingdom now, or maybe you are saying they are in thKingdomom right now.

Have you read, we do not reign ahead of the King, I mean until He has returned. Listen to what the saved in Yeshua are sharing. We are free. When we do not measure up, grace is there.

In the meantime, all the laws that deal with good and moral behavior are there for us to follow. Again, for those who do not read what is shared, the laws that fit within the two laws of love. I will never be deliberately disobedient to the Father because Yeshua suffered and died for all who are truly in the freedom of His salvation.

Those who are in His grace understand the joy of pleasing the Father, serving Him, praising Him, giving Him all glory, and obeying Him with freed hearts, minds and souls.

If you do not read and learn the wisdom of the Old Testament, this is your manner of serving God.

I choose to learn all I am given to learn by the Holy Spirit. I do not go along with the vote of any theological majority. This is true with any of the saved who are truly free. They do not fear because Yahweh's love has driven out all fear.

If you have called on the Lamb of God in spirit and truth, you are indeed my brother in Yeshua, but please, to pursuade others to be disobedient in the guise of living in grace, even though it is true grace frees us of the curse of sin. Wake up! It is not a sin to love to obey the Father in the grace of Yeshua. The Laws of Love are always to be obeyed, and they are the pleasure of all who love Yeshua...

Now that is downright off the wall. You read my post, all of it, and you will see I include your idea with the share. And no one reigns over sin, Yeshua reigns over sin. Do you think you have begun to reign without the King present? This is totally contrary to the teaching in the Word. Please, if you are going to try to shoot someone, load your weapon first. I am not trying to shoot anyone, but I am sharing the good news from the Master, and this is Life, amen.[QUOTE=HeRoseFromTheDead;1093216]You better be reigning in Christ over sin right here right now...[/QUOTE]

Anybody that obeys God, you claim is "puffed up". You've said to me, you've said to John832. And you are as wrong as you can be.

It's obvious, you despise Gods Law, as well as those who obey it.
lol. You keep saying I dispise Gods law. PROVE IT. You keep making false accusations because you are in your spoonfed mode.

How can you claim I despise it when I claim those who do not follow it and are unrepentant were never saved?

It is you who has an unrepentant heart.. because you keep breaking the very commandment you demand we all follow!

and PS. I do not despise you. I love ya and everyone. I dispise a gospel that teaches we are saved by law. You can deny you believe this all you want, You would be lieing, or you are decieved, one or the other.

What I want to know, is why? It's not like I'm making this stuff up either. It's quite apparent, that anybody that obeys God, you have a problem with......Why?

Then I have a problem with myself? And all of those like me? who follow Gods law out of appreciation for what he did for us. and out of th epower he gives us, And out of faith in him (the law of faith)

you do not know what to think do you? You hate us because we obey Gods commands in faith. Why is that?

It's getting to the point, that you are being quite redundant.
Unfortunately. You still spreading the same false accusation against us. You just can';t get it!

All thru the scripture we are commanded to obey God. And you seem to have a problem with anybody that does that (obeys God).
All through scripture we are told we have failed to obey God in a way which can save us, and are powerless to follow it they way he demands.

You fail to see this, Why do you wish to continue to excuse your own sin?? Why don;t you humble yourself and come to the throne of Grace and seek gods help? Instead of judging others who you claim are evil, When you are just as evil as any man who walked the earth in the eyes of god. rightly condemned for your own sin..

There is only 1 other person , that I know of, that has a problem with those who keep Gods Commands:
lol. I DO NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THIS> STOP YOUR LIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Telling us we are "Puffed up" because we Obey God,, is sounding like you are being led by a dragon,,, not Jesus.
You puff yourself up. You already declared your not like Hitler.

I don;t puff myself up. I am just as guilty as you and hitler. And just as unworthy of Gods love. save for Gods grace!

So do I. Thats not what differs us, what differs us is the flesh. The flesh remains, and we must daily fight the flesh. Until the flesh is completely removed. we still will struggle with sin.

That passage concerns Isreal. God will give them a heart of repentance. They will stop their sin of going against God, following their idols etc etc (and same for us) it never says they (or we) will be sinless.
EG I love you too much not to share with you this.....
Do you think God's heart and Spirit cannot beat our flesh? You make it seem like the struggle is against our flesh ALL the time... But it is not my friend. It is only for a time. We have to die off the lusts of the flesh THEN REBIRTH happens...

God cannot give us NEW LIFE if we did not DIE OFF THE OLD. I know it takes time to struggle the flesh, but look what God promises....

In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

EG when God resurrected Jesus from the depth of the earth, God beat ALL flesh and gave the works there-of to HIS SON. Jesus can give GLORY to a person in the flesh to live as HE DID IN GLORY.... the flesh is not the sinner, the flesh is not sinful. It is the LUSTS in the sinning spirit that sins... God explains how sin is committed, it starts in the ROCKY heart... if there is no more rocky heart, there is no more STAERTING OF SIN....

The flesh is JUST A VESSEL... it is the CAPTAIN OF THE VESSEL that makes the vessel do what is done... in the NEW US that CAPTAIN is JESUS!...

Flesh is just flesh, but the LIFE-GIVING SPIRIT OF GOD, makes even the FLESH LIVE GODLY...

I hope you see this. If God is IN US, our flesh can only do what HE WANTS DONE.
