Chapter and verse divisions were first added to manuscripts in the 13th Century.
They were entirely a man-made addition.
To claim ANY inspiration in numbers related to how many chapters in this book versus that one or how many verses in a chapter having significance is PURE fantasy.

There is NO special knowledge to be had in any of this...
Why are there 22 books in the book of Revelation, why not 23 or 24 What does the number 22 in the bible?

Why do people who know nothing about the KJV and especially the number patterns and verse structure patterns feel so compelled to argue against a point that they know nothing about lol. I just don't get it. :(

According to anyone who will objectively look at the KJV.
It's known in the KJV circles as types, shadows and symbols... If you are not familiar with a writer by the name of Arthur Walkington Pink or A.W. Pink check him out... He also available in pdf format and I know you will enjoy him... I discovered him when I read Gleanings In Genesis and learned a lot comparing my KJV and his comments on certain passage of scripture... I read and studying my KJV and all my resources are mostly KJV... Just posted this for your benefit and anyone else that want to look into it... Brother Glen

I assume they want to believe they have it figured out. When someone comes and says something about God they haven't heard of haven't seen/ known to be true, they dismiss and go into teach mode.. kinda like three men on top of a mountain describing what they see.. 3 different views, all correct. Unless you know it's not true, it's only cheating yourself to be closed..

Or it was 6 times added in the KJV, you know.

Thats what the textual criticism is about. To find out what was added or omitted.
with Satan's cleaver copy-write laws it will become more and more diminished as time goes by...each new addition is forced to make 4 % changes. That doesn't take long to become 25% in the big picture..Given enough time they will have to employ pig-latin into the translations to continue forward....all copy-write bibles must be approved by the Vatican control freaks....what a great scam, copywriting God's word:confused: only the devil himself could really appreciate such evil.

I don't know what does it mean?... I really think Rob when you talk to those who are KJV and compare notes, you will find you have found your audience... It has taken me many years to learn that fact and I let the others be... I belong to another board and post my KJV and let those interested come to me... If they don't, they don't, and I don't worry about it... But I'm not you and can't tell you what you need to do... But if I were you, I would converse with a captivated audience, not one you hold in captivity... Brother Glen

nothing even embarrasses them anymore, a giant merchandizing venture on all levels, every aspect of the Christian faith is for sale, (the gospel for dollars) and as Jeremiah said, they don't even blush. Remove the money and the whole thing would collapse in on itself....oh, it was Ezekiel that said their father Lucifer was a merchandizer and trafficker, like father like sons..

Of course you have a whole relationship with God. It's easy to see who the true followers of Jesus are, we know them by their fruit - love, joy, peace longsuffering etc. Let me ask you this question though. If you fell in love with say a German speaking woman would you take the time to learn her language? Would your relationship with her be better if you spoke her language?

It took me about 6 months to get comfortable with KJV English, now it's no different than modern English to me. :)

I follow Jesus Christ, and God both of whom are persons (and Gods), very much unlike a mortal female of German persuasion. No matter what the translation of the Bible - without the Spirit of God, and your spirit enlivened by the Cross of Jesus, you would not understand KJV no matter how long you study it. Or whether you study it over any other version.

Yet with the Spirit able to communicate with my spirit, there are many translations which God uses in teaching me by way of His Spirit to mine....This is my point.

Guard your heart lest you become an elitist (a special person in God because you know of the only real language). I do not have any lack of communication at all with my God, (not in the slightest). Because He first loves me and it is His wisdom, as I remain a bondservant in love to righteousness, that possesses me; my disposition in Christ; not me understanding His written manuscripts first, in knowledge of linguistics.

Now if I were to date a German girl, it would behoove me to learn her language, but spiritually God created my spirit, enlivened my spirit, talks by way of the Spirit to my spirit (firstly), and entrusts to it His Word using many translations by which He Himself has over-seen to exist; (Not all which do not pass the test of the spirits, however) but many more than the KJV (alone). You have had spiritual revelations, and that is good. That is His Spirit speaking to yours. But guard your heart lest satan comes from the backdoor and makes a subtle distinction of "specialness" about you.. or of it; that being the KJV version exclusively. "All things are possible thru Christ Jesus Our Lord."

(John 14:26): ...King James Version (KJV)

26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

The number 22 is the number for revelation. The word mystery is found 22 times in the kjv and each time it's mentioned, a mystery is revealed.

I just like talking about the miraculous bible, it doesn't matter who the audience is. Some me will recieve it but most will reject it.... that's Gods business, he's the one that opens our eyes.

I don't know anything about Hebrew but I can tell you that the KJV got it exactly RIGHT! Instead of trying to correct that which is perfect, if you would have counted the number of flowers, knops and bowls... you would have found that there are exactly 66. That candlestick is properly translated "He" because that candlestick is the Word of God.
Hey KJV1611, I just want to say that I give you props for at least attempting to respond to so many posts that oppose your view. It’s always good to see someone who can at least attempt to give a response, rather than dodge the question…even when it may be considered nonsense.

You say that there is no need to correct what is perfect, but this reasoning limits your ability to truly be objective. You have chosen a Bible, and put an uncompromising, unmoving, and straight refusal of other evidences in front of you as road blocks to the truth.

Since your view is that studying Greek and Hebrew words is a waste of time (because your mind is already set), there is really no way that anyone can possibly prove to you that the KJV does indeed contain various errors from those renderings.

If you refuse to accept or study for yourself what others present to you from the Hebrew and Greek, then there is no point to this thread. It is a complete waste of time. You have essentially made yourself unmovable in this doctrinal position because you have decided to put your faith exclusively within the hands of a king who came over 1500 years after Christ.

I see it like this. There is only one Christ and MANY false Christs. There is only one perfect bible but many imperfect bibles. Why would a person prefer an imperfect bible over a perfect one just because one bible is easier to read? Also why would God give his people imperfect bibles to start with?

What it comes down to is final authority. Do you have a Bible that is your final authority on all matters? Do you have a Bible that you can read, study and trust every word to be true? If not, then you will become your final authority as you study the Greek and Hebrew and decide for yourself which word and meaning fits best. As for myself, I know how pathetic I am and how I need God's very words to guide me to righteousness. I don't want to change the words of God, just believe and live them.

Thanks for the kind response. I'm more than willing to listen to opposing views but it's hard to debate the Greek when I don't know Greek. God didn't put my ability to understand his word in the hands of other people. I don't have to go to an "expert" to understand the Bible, God gave me his word in my language.

There is a good greek bible that is very easy to understand here:
Online Greek Interlinear Bible

They also have a Hebrw old testament that I love. I use it often. Hope this helps!
