I am working with a lesbian lady and I also know her partner. I have witnessed to her partner once before and they are both very young...the partner is also very very sick with Anorexia which I believe is yet another attack from the enemy and follows years of different methods of attack, each more severe than the last. This lady openly admits to the fact that when she sought refuge in a church and was prayed over theses evil spirits left her only to return each time she left. Because of her lesbianism she has since shunned the church and neither of them will have anything to do with Jesus or the church. Now, God has given me a heart for these young ladies and I love them as I would my very own daughters. I especially like the one I work with as she is a lot of fun and we get on so well. I have also tried to witness to this one but she is even more negative towards what I say regarding the Bible....Which really brings me to my main question...God says in His word that "man should not lie with a man as with a woman" or words to that effect...but does it say anywhere in the Bible that He sees Lesbianism in the same way? We assume He does but in fact does He, or do we simply assume He means the same for both sex's. Please, I respectfully ask that simple opinions, Biblical points and scripture be used in reply. Please let's not shout anyone down or call people names because they see things a little differently than yourselves. I just want to reach these young ladies and bring them to Christ but I don't want to do it at the expense of what God means and wants....so I ask that we all respect others on this thread. Thank you.
Hi AG,

You have a sweet tender heart. It's nice to see those who love God reach out to sinners no matter the sin. :) The bible does specifically address this particular sin in Romans 1.

For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.

The bible reveals that all of us as sinners. In Romans 3 .... for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God ..... there's no one righteous not even one.

Do they know that you are a Christian?

Yes they are aware, even the one I work with will poke gentle fun at me but never in a nasty way - always in fun but yeah they know. :)

The key is to get both of them born again and believe in their hearts who Jesus is, and what Jesus has done. This then allows both of them to be justified because they have been immersed in Christ. It is imperative that Believers show compassion for all people. Many Believers has placed their standard on others by assuming their light has went out. We must understand justification is based on faith alone and not what we do.

This is why we must understand what justification is and why it is the first subject in the book of Romans. It lays down the foundation as I go through sanctification.

Justification gives me the ability to get back up from every failure no matter how many times and stand up and go through this process and learn it. Justification gives us a legal standing with God that is not cancelled because of the acts of sin. So if I fail at this same thing a thousand times, God forbid, I remain justified by faith (Romans 3:23); For I have kept the ways of the Lord (2 Samuel 22:22; Psalm 18:21; Romans 8:2). Remember, Jesus said, "I did not come to condemn (John 3:17)."

Justification is not what we do, and not what I am, and not what I worked for. It is what Jesus did and my faith in it that gives me the standing with God that I need to carry on my Christian experience. Sometime I do it well, and sometimes I do it not so well, but his justifying Grace will not fail unless my faith fails. It is just if I have never sinned and just if I have always obeyed (Romans 8:1; Romans 8:2).

Question? In the parable of the Prodigal Son did the son every stop being the fathers son? No
Did the father ever stop looking for his son? No
There is no other scripture in the bible that shows God the Father running towards his son!

There is no other scripture in the bible that shows God the Father running towards his son!
There is no other law higher than the law of sin and death, but "The Law of the Spirit of Life In Christ Jesus (Romans 8:2)." This is God's prescribe order of victory over sin, the world, the flesh, and the Devil. God insist that the Believer place and maintain Faith exclusively in Christ and His Finished Work, i.e., The Cross, i.e., The Blood of Jesus. This gives the legal means for the Power of the Holy Spirit to help you in every capacity of life as we grow in grace and in the knowledge of Lord Jesus Christ.

We learn from Ezekiel 47 that we enter the Water (the Holy Spirit) at salvation "ankle deep." Next comes sanctification when the Water is now "knee deep." The Water continues to get higher that produces the "Fruit of the Spirit." When the "Fruit of the Spirit" and the "The Gifts of the Spirit" bush up against each...my, my, my, my!

The LORD will not remove all of your enemies at once from you. This will not be done all at once. Here a little, there a little. Line upon line, and precept upon precept, so that the beast of the field will not over take you (pride - self righteousness).

Victory over sin: Romans 8:2
Victory over the world: Galatians 6:14 ; 1 John 5:4
Victory over the flesh: Galatians 5:24
Victory over the devil: Hebrews 2:14 ; Colossians 2:15

Any other way is faith in yourself (self deceiving yourself), i.e., spiritual adultrey. You are producing another way which is another god.

The Way Of The Spirit
Focus: The Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:6)
Object Of Faith: The Cross of Christ (Romans 6:1-14)
Power Source: The Holy Spirit (Romans 8:1-2, 11)
Results: Victory (Romans 6:14)

Man's Way
Focus: Works.
Object Of Faith: Performance.
Power Source: Self.
Results: Defeat!

The only way to God is through Jesus Christ (John 14:6)...the only way to Jesus Christ is by the Means of the Cross (Luke 14:27). The only way to the Cross is a denial of self (Luke 9:23). If any person tries to come any other way, Jesus says, "they are a thief and a robber" (John 10:1).

1. Jesus Christ is the source of all blessings.
2. The Cross is the means by which all blessings are given.
3. The object of our faith must be Christ and the Cross.
4. That being done, the Holy Spirit will greatly help us. (Zechariah 4:6)

The Law Of The Spirit Of Life In Christ Jesus (Romans 8:2) gives the Believer victory over the world, the flesh, and the devil.

The Law Of The Spirit Of Life In Christ Jesus (Romans 8:2) gives the Believer victory over the world, the flesh, and the devil.

If a Christians faith is not maintain exclusively in Christ and His Finished Work, i.e., The Cross, i.e., The BLOOD of Jesus, the works of the flesh will manifest.

Paul tells us this in the 5th Chapter of Galatians. The entire Book of Galatians, but especially the 5th Chapter, is a warning from Paul to the Church at Galatia, which is also meant for us. The warning is that if they place their faith in anything except “Christ and Him Crucified,” that “Christ shall profit you nothing” (Gal. 5:2).

The Apostle goes on to say that if the Believer doesn’t adhere to the Way of the Spirit, which is the Way of the Cross, then works of the flesh will manifest themselves. He said:

“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God” (Gal. 5:19-21).

Now let me say it again, because it is so very important:
If the Believer doesn’t understand the Cross of Christ, as it regards Sanctification, then, in some way, one or more of these “works of the flesh” are going to manifest themselves in his life. As stated, such is inevitable! The first four, “Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, and lasciviousness,” are obvious and easily understood. But the modern Christian quickly dismisses “idolatry, witchcraft, and heresies,” thinking they do not really apply today.

"For this cause God gave them up"
Gave them up...to what? Damnation? Fire and brimstone? To pursue their sinful desires? What?
What if someone is homosexual (male or female) yet they don't practice homosexuality? Are they still 'going to hell'?
And, aren't liars, and egomaniacs, and all those other sinners out there going to hell, too? If Jesus came to save all these other people, why didn't he come to save the homosexuals? Why are they worse then everyone else?

Maybe I'm not understanding what you're trying to say....

You need to understand what you read. If you have removed the beam from your own eye, then you can see clearly to ask some one to remove the the beam in their eyes. But you think everybody has a beam. how sad.

That is because he isn't making sense-

Like someone said before: It is easier to pick on a sin they know they will never commit themselves.
Makes them feel safe, holy and better than everyone else (and they get to play judge and God)

the penalty of sin is death
Does it matter if is caused by a splinter or a beam?

God gave them up to be degenerates and the punishment which degenerates will receive.

Then they'd be lusting after men or women without touching them, ungodly lusts of the flesh and a polluted mind.

Does it offend you that gays are going to be killed?

For me the saddest thing is to see gay people claiming they are Christians, dismissing the OT as no longer relevant and stating "Jesus never mentioned homosexuality". These people clearly love The Lord and believe they are saved, yet they love their sin more. Would someone who was openly committing adultery think the same - that they can continue in their sin and still claim to love The Lord and assume salvation? I don't believe so and I think this is why is would seem we pick on homosexuality, because it's wilful disobedience.

Did you make this post to edify God's children, or was it to subtly let me know that you dislike me, and mock me with scorn?

Romans 1:28
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature

Lesbians are going to hell.
So everyone who has ever committed a sin is going to hell?

Yet again I get the impression that some people posting here will be elated and over joyed if all homosexuals were rounded up and executed.

=============================================

when The Holy Spirit teaches us about the ways and means of 'over-coming' our PAST SINS,
and begins us on our-new-journey, like babes; then when we come to the point in our Growth in Jesus Christ,
that 'we KNOW BETTER', but choose to go back, stay just where we are/were, well then,
this creates un-believable grief'...
