I guess it goes against your religious upbringing...I understand that..it did mine too before my mind got renewed to the gospel of Christ.......it is all backed with scripture..,,,but each to their own...bless you....:)...
Yeah I guess your mind did get b̶r̶a̶i̶n̶w̶a̶s̶h̶e̶d̶ "renewed" after listening to 1000 hrs of "grace" teaching videos. Too bad you didn't spend that time reading the bible.

I am amazed at what I have read on this forum.. I did not realize there was so much false teaching and misunderstanding out there.
I guess I have been insulated from it these 20 or so years I have lived out here in the Boston Mountains.
I think I will just stay here.
It is appalling, but it's a great opportunity to learn from other people's mistakes.

YAAAAAYYYY A common sense thinker!!!!!!! YAHOOOO CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! APPLAUSE! APPLAUSE!! ;)

God bless you, ladylynn.....you nut! ;)

Here is what the so-called hyper grace people say about confession of sins...grace believers are for confession of sins....

Myth 2: Hyper-Grace Preachers are Against Confession – Escape to Reality
There are grace preachers that say you don't have to confess your sins, future sins are forgiven and if you do the things Paul explicitly warns for that those do not inhabit the Kingdom it doesn't matter for salvation.
Brown has some very good things to say about it.

A Personal Word to My Hyper-Grace Friends — Charisma News
Coby and Grace, you know I love you both,
and I sure don't want to offend, or cause a rift
between us, but I just can't do the dueling videos.

I know for my own personal instruction,
I can go on the internet, and find all kinds of
interesting videos, debates, provocative or
edifying, right on or left off, lol, but I wouldn't
even need a chat site for that, I could just search.

But on here, I hope to meet, and fellowship, and
communicate, and learn who my family in Christ is,
how we can help each other, get to know each other,
build each other up, share a laugh, tears, prayers, and
praise our Lord Jesus. He's all about love, right, and I
I know it's cliché, but I wanna know what love is, too.

I do have a great passion for Christ!..here is what knowing Him does for me.

I was also praying one morning and thinking about how the grace of Christ has affected me. I had the scripture come up where the Pharisees were arguing about whether a man was born blind or not after Jesus healed him. Of course the Pharisees were trying to discredit the message of Jesus. The man said.." All I know is that I was born blind but now I see."

This is what the gospel of the grace of Christ has done in my life:

I realize that these beliefs in the grace of God....especially the acceptance grace and the total forgiveness that Jesus bought and paid for with His blood....that these can be offensive to our religious beliefs and what we have been taught in church.

This gospel of the wondrous grace of Christ has had a beautiful affect on me. I am more in love with Jesus and the Father more then ever....in love with studying His word....praying in the spirit constantly with a heart full of joy!

This gospel has given me a compassion for other people and to reach out in love to them. To give more than I ever have with a heart full of love.

To live a holier life in Him...to be a witness of the life and love of our Lord in me.

If these are the horrible fruit of the grace of Christ in me....I want more!.....give me more grace please my Lord and God!

I am living a much fuller life now, more deeply in love with Jesus and the Father then ever, free from the horrible religion of self-effort, having the love of God pour out to me to help others now that I understand the grace that is in Christ then I did when I was doing the self=performance based gospel ( which is not the gospel )

I was blind but now I see. I see Jesus and His finished work for me!

It will always be in eternity "Worthy is the Lamb"..it will never be.."Worthy is the Lamb......and me..because I did my own D.I.Y self-righteousness/holiness to help Jesus out"

It has always been about Jesus and Him alone and it will always remain that for all eternity.

Brown vid took way too many rebuffers, finally...
Seemed like an ad for a tv show.

I don't usually go for trying to use other ppls
tv shows to accuse other ppl of what
they might believe, or to use a third party
to do my arguing for me too much.

I mean, I understand some may think this
guy is a good teacher, but if a couple of
ppl are having a friendly debate over doctrine
on a chat site, the ppl on a video have no
knowledge of that, and may even change their
own views after hearing a side they haven't
considered before.

Point being, if we're brothers and sisters here,
we should be able to do like Jesus said, and
'come and reason together...'.

Instead of using a third parties opinion on a
video as being fact, why don't we just
say what we believe, and why, and try
to encourage one another in the truth.

(Naahh, THAT'S no fun! Lol)

Hey nu2see, your posts are refreshing and encouraging. :D Thank you very much. I'm sorry your computer won't allow you to the links. Sometimes they are very helpful. I don't know how to link yet, but I can access them. I agree with you about how the people on some of the links are not here to read what we are writing to each other here on CC so they can't really answer us individually and accordingly.

I prefer to try and explain my point of view when someone is assuming I'm saying something I'm not because it sounds too much like this tv guy or that tv guy. I actually like what some of the tv preachers are preaching and some of them I don't agree with and don't watch. Some I agree only in part with but that won't mean I part company with them. I just don't watch them much. No one agrees 100% with everything someone else is saying or believing.

For instance., I believe Jesus is coming before the tribulation and will rapture the church... but many of my dear Christian brothers and sisters here on CC do not but that is AOK. We agree on the most important subject and that is Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

Amen bless you brother Grace777 for sharing. When I started really believing that God loved me and that Jesus paid for all my sins past present and future., it was the beginning of a real faith walk in Christ.

How can it be that our sins are as far as the east is from the west? How can it be that when Adam sinned his sins were IMPUTED to us and we were all in a place called sin...BUT then Jesus died and paid for those sins, Jesus righteousness was IMPUTED to us who believe in Him. Now we are no more sinners but are called righteous sons??? How can this be??

2 Cor.5:21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Before these truths became real, I was trying to make life be what God wanted and I was always failing. Instead of looking at the finished work of Jesus I was looking at the work of "lynn" and felt probably like Judas felt. Try to make it right but that didn't work. I never thought of suicide but did feel and was very hopeless in myself and the results I was getting.

Now it is looking to Jesus, the Author and finisher of my faith. Like you wrote here Grace777 It's about Jesus being worthy...not Jesus AND me me me. There is a great relief to this and a great encouragement to move forward in Christ.

I see many other Christians like M.Brown on the video trying to reason out grace and truth-faith and how Christians are changing. How can faith or grace be reasoned out? Grace is received. That is another amazing truth..grace is RECEIVED each day.

We can't be worthy of grace or it would not BE grace. Just like salvation., we are not earning our sanctification. Jesus IS our sanctification.
1 Cor. 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.
New Open Bible KJV

But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption. NAS

These are doctrinal truths that are not new. They are only new to those who have just heard it today. I sing the hymns in the church hymnal and many of those old saints knew about grace and wrote about it. So did Paul and the apostles and they taught us about it through the Bible and the Holy Spirit.

I think what you are saying is unfair.
I downloaded teaching MP3's where the pastor goes verse by verse and I filled up over eight gigabytes worth of teachings from a church that goes verse by verse which doesn't believe in works and the pastor has been teaching from the word for a long long time.

In fact there are a lot of teachers and Christian colleges and universities that don't believe that works save you.

Please consider Philippians 2:3 in your response to people.

Philippians 2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

Every time I try to 'go to church', an angel stops me at the front door and says 'Why seek ye the living among the dead?'
See: Sardis church. Rev.3

Personally I'd test that Angel and see if he was from the Lord yet. Sardis was a beautiful church on the out side but dead on the inside. It was a works for salvation church misrepresenting Jesus. Are you saying all churches are like that? Now I must warn you speaking of the bride of Christ in a negative way could result in anger from the groom...I know the groom and he's no one to mess with. Now sardis had a few that the Lord saw fit to enter in to the kingdom but thought it could do better and warned them of their error.
Now if you are referring to me as a church of sardis let me reassure you I rest in the finished works of Christ.
Yet I've seen many of your post that seem anti church in one form or another, if a certain body has burned you in one way or another I think ones time would be better spent making sure it doesn't happen to anyone else.
