I hope so. Jesus never said there wouldn't be sex in heaven. Why would Christians be against it? We can eat and drink in heaven, we'll have bodies.
The other day you were asked what you have to offer a potential spouse:

What are YOU going to GIVE to the spouse? What will YOU DO for her?
https://christianchat.com/threads/m...er-even-for-bad-marriages.211117/post-5084232

Your reply:

Having work done on my house, to show I have something to offer.

I was homeless for 3 and 1/2 years and I saw on a regular basis predators looking to take advantage of homeless women and girls. They offered them drugs or a roof over their head in exchange for sexual favors. I find it quite interesting that your response to the question of what you have to offer a woman is a roof over her head. Do you really think you're fooling anyone?

There will not be. We'll be like the angels, there will not be a point for the good people saved by God because we'll all be immortal in his Kingdom forever with Jesus. As for the wicked, well even though their sexual sins likely got them there in the first place, they won't be able for the reason of the insufferable hellfire that they will have to suffer for the rest of eternity. Praise Jesus, greater treasures in heaven store up for your stay in the eternal Kingdom of God.

The Israelites were called the Lord’s servants, but they were not all saved:

Isaiah 43:10 - "You are My witnesses, says the Lord," And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me, And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me. (Israel vs. 1)

Leviticus 25:55 - For the children of Israel are servants to Me; they are My servants whom I brought out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God. *Yet God later destroyed those who did not believe. (Jude 1:5)

Nehemiah 1:6 - please let Your ear be attentive and Your eyes open, that You may hear the prayer of Your servant which I pray before You now, day and night, for the children of Israel Your servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel which we have sinned against You.

That's a very serious charge.

fully understand.... I'm right behind you... I'll be 69 in July... three score and ten doesn't sound as old as it used to...
Amen if one looks at it right you only have nine hundred years to go to catch methuselah so definately three score and ten ain’t that bad

“and all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭5:27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

it feels like six score and three sometimes physically on my end haha

But truthfully getting old seems to lose its sting when jesus words of faith and promise really sink in

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

are we really getting old brother ? Or is it an illusion of the dying world ?

Thank God for the gospel and his promises within it

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:51‬ ‭KJV‬‬

a dying man’s hope in Christ is everlasting life

“And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭23:43‬ ‭KJV‬‬

And so Paul teaches

“Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (for we walk by faith, not by sight)

we are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:6-8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

this part

(for we walk by faith, not by sight)

Its hard to look on the mirror see the wrinkles and white hair and feel the body ache and hurt from age but the gospel allows us to walk by the promises of Christ

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

without jesus and his words in the gospel it would be miserable getting old if life was just what the atheists see life seems it would have no meaning or value

but naw three score and ten is just a youngin really for a Christian

i can hardly wait till the day when the old things and old ways have gone

“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:63‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paul Jesus servant and witness of the gospel writes the echoe tonthe church

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free

from the law of sin and death.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free “

“words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”

“He tbat heareth my word and believeth …shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”

“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:31-32‬ ‭KJV‬‬

If we read Paul after we have heard and believed what Jesus said Paul’s mysterious sounding doctrine makes tangible perfect sense

If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; he is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭6:3-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

John 8:36 plus Romans 8:2 If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. For in Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set you free from the law of sin and death.
This was one of the verses I had in mind and which I had hoped my first post in this thread would
bring to mind for John; especially along with, there is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus :)

amen i like to see verses like John 8:31-32 and then search the epistles for the themes Jesus began preaching like captives being set free by the gospel

I’m ot sure for anyone else but it makes what Jesus said and what the apostles said make plainer sense when you look at them together

So like the theme of freedom according to Christs word of you take what Jesus said here in the gospel

“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:31-32, 34, 36‬ ‭

This seems like it’s hard to “ interpret “ exactly the details of what he’s saying but then if we hear more about this word of truth Christ spoke about

“Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.”
‭‭John‬ ‭18:37‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Now if we search the apostles writings for this theme of truth setting free from sin just one example from Paul

“And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, in meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; and that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭2:24-26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Now what Jesus was saying makes more sense the devil has sinners captive in thier mind and heart we failed so much at being right by Gods standards we are convinced we can’t ever change and be set free from that condition

As we hear what Jesus was saying in the gospel knowing it is the truth from God that saves it comes into our mind creating the right thoughts rather than the ones that stew and swirl in a sinful mind

Its why Jesus doctrine seems so contrary to human sinful nature we’re deceived in our minds and hearts the true gospel is the word of God sent to reshape and redeem our mind and how it works when we think about God , ourselves , the world around us , what happens after a person dies ect

we need to hear the gospel because Jesus came to tell man the truth of all the things that really matter in eternal life it’s so important for Christian’s not only to acknolwedge Jesus died fornthier sins and rose fornthier justification , but also to become a disciple of Jesus to come to him and learn and hear Gods words of life and light and truth and freedom

He didn’t only come to die he came to make an everlasting covenant based on the mercies given to David who wasn’t perfect by any means but his heart was always sincerely after God

Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make ( in the future from Isaiah’s time ) an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that everlasting covenant he made inviting us to hear

“Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭13:31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We have a new and eternal covenant itnis defined by what the lord said in the gospel pertaining to the kingdom it’s the word of truth the apostles talk of , the word of light the prophets foretold , the word of life the apostles speak of , the everlasting covenant word the prophets foretold , the truth from God that sets men free from the dungeon of sin , the bread which we eat daily , it is the spirit and life of God given to all who hear and believe him the promises of the prophets for him to give them judgement and make a way in the desert

truth truly sets us free and changes sinners to saints

Luke 12:47-48 . .That servant who knows his master's will and does not
get ready or does not do what his master wants will be beaten with many
blows. But the one who does not know and does things deserving
punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been
given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been
entrusted with much, much more will be asked.

I think we should first of all point out that in context; those particular
performance evaluations won't take place up in Heaven, rather, here on
earth when Christ returns; and the servants themselves won't be coming
with him; instead: they'll be here waiting for his arrival not knowing
exactly when to expect him.

:( We almost made it through a thread without mentioning sex. @JohnB was doing so well.... you just had to bring this up.....
By the way, while we're on the subject, why are Christians against sex in heaven? We'll have bodies, we'll be eating and drinking, so why not sex?

What got them in trouble was WHO they had sex with. GOD wasn't against them having sex. Some Christians seem to think the ONLY reason for sex is to procreate. That is not true. Read the Song of Solomon.
