Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Do you believe that the zoo and Seaworld prove that we have dominion over animals? Maybe all the ships and boats we have prove dominion over the seas. The fact that since Adam and Eve mankind has spread all over the World and has control of most of the inhabitable globe could be proof. Where in the World is man not in dominion over nature?

Mans dominion wasnt full authority it was limited designated authority.
He never lost it. Its just in a fallen state until its all redeemed. He still has
dominion its just not at as nice as one would notice.

Luke 4:
5) And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
6) And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

If Jesus thought the devil was lying, he would have simply blown him off.

1 John 5:19
(KJV) And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
(NIV) We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.
(ESV) We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

2 Cor 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not

1 Pet 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Eph 6:12) For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Yes, he did blow him off, he told Satan to Get away from him!

I dont know what your point is. If its that satan has dominion...its not said in the bible. The arguement that Jesus would have blown him off has been around but we never build doctrine on what the devil says.
Satan has limited power given him by God and always under Gods authority.

Being the god of the world is limited power in the worlds system. Not dominion of earth or anything to
do with mans dominion given to Adam. Adam never turned over anything to satan as the WOF teaches.
But:
16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey ; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?Romans6

To repeat:
Luke 4:
5) And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
6) And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

So you believe God "authorized" 9/11? Earthquakes? Tsunamis? Rape, murder, cancer? That's some God you have there. The God of the bible LOVES us, and does not "authorize" that stuff. The devil does. Do you really believe that God, who loves us so much that He gave His only begotten Son for us, would say "go for it" to the devil and allow him to zap ~3000 people in a terrorist attack? Or arrange for someone to be hit by a bus while crossing the street?

That's right. We have been delivered. But until Christ returns, we will not see the fullness of it. We still live in this world, with flesh bodies that fail. We live among people who are NOT saved, who still belong to the devil, and if we do not take a stand, there will be consequences.

1 Pet 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Eph 6:
10) Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11) Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12) For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13) Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14) Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15) And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16) Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Hey Johnathon,

would you like coffee or tea?

seriously your words made me think of these verses.

James 3
6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell. 7 For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind. 8 But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. 9 With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. 10 Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. 11 Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening? 12 Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh.

seems like the Bible tells me we have tamed all the beast, birds, reptiles and sea creatures but we still need to tame our tongues.

there are others verses too.

people can say whatever they want but if we were thrown in a lions den or a fiery furnace as punishment

for standing and saying Jesus Christ is our LORD and SAVIOR through the prompting of HIS HOLY SPIRIT.

I would not worry. Either we will wake up in Heaven or we will walk out both untouched.

We just have to go and do as the Holy Spirit leads us so we might witness to God's love, mercy, grace and faithfulness. Never forgetting to demand repentance and a turning away from the sinful world to the Everlasting and Loving Father and Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Tell a wild bear to heal, or try to hand feed a wild lion.....Tell me how that works out for you.
don't know if you realize this or not but that statement sounds a whole lot like when Satan told Jesus to throw himself off the mountain so the angels would keep him from dashing His foot on a stone.

the whole "tempt not the Lord Your God" scene....

Lions and bears are at the zoo. Dominion doesn't require that we train every animal. Besides you could shoot just about anything if it was legal.

That's the devil speaking. Of course the Bible is true that the devil said it, but it's still the devil talking so it's not truth.

I usually drink coffee but my wife sold me on tea about a week ago. She must have talked a full hour about the benefit of tea and every flavor. So I bought alot of instant tea. Thanks for the verse. God bless.

Well yes of coarse I do. Is He not with Absolute Authority over all His creation? Is there one thing that happens that isnt under His view? What does "God" mean? Is He impotant? Are is His hands tied? Satan has a given position in a system under Gods limits and authority.
Actually, he did.

Lets talk about it more if you would like. The honor and glory of God
is at stake here and holy writ. :)
