Can a company really fire you for saying Merry Christmas? That's pretty ridiculous...whats so bad about being wished a Merry Christmas? Will their chest explode? Just like the bible says, in the last days people are going to be so easily offended...if a boss would put your job in jeapordy over a kind holiday greeting than that job is NOT worth having, and that BOSS is not fit to be a boss. It's horrible how this nation is becoming more and more anti-Jesus: no more prayer in schools, trying to get 'In God We Trust' off of the money and 'Under God' out of the pledge of allegience, and now Merry Christmas is darn-near being out lawed by extrremely foolish people. Christians SHOULD take a stand and say Merry Christmas! If you dont celebrate it then dont respond. It's funny, this country has no problem with aborting babies, but they lose their MINDS when we wish them a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! What a twisted and backwards nation...God help us!

ick!!! Merry Xmas makes my skin crawl, saying 'xmas' is such a dumb thing to say, and its sooo disrespectful to our Lord and Saviour...gosh, it may not mean much to people, and maybe Dec 25 isnt the actual DAY Jesus was born, but the fact is we're celebrating His birth...I mean, He couldve been born on Febuary 4th, but its at THIS time that we celebrate the birth of a Man that would change our lives forever, and to shorten Christmas to 'xmas' is so insulting to me. If we dont stand up for something as small as saying 'Merry Christmas', then how could we reach out to people on a more serious scale? If we're too afraid to simply say Merry Christmas, then whats the point of being a minister? Evangelist? CHRISTIAN??? Thats the day Christians should be the MOST excited and proud, at LEAST...man, I reFUSE to allow these idiots to tell me not to gladly share my joy with others by saying Merry Christmas! Imma say it 'til I'm blue in the face, and Im black!!!

Its that time of year again..Christmas... and i was just wondering what many christians would do if they were told by their employer " You cannot say Merry Christmas it must be Happy Holidays" what would you do? ...
CHRIST, CHRIST, CHRIST! Merry CHRISTmas I say!

I acctually was told I could not wear a *Jesus is the reason for the season* button @ work...and I looked at my boss and said, "surely you are not telling me you are discriminating against me becuase of my faith..??" I have left it on, and she has not said anything else about it. :-D

If anyone tried something like that on I would say.

'If my button said Jihad would we even be having this conversation?'

Ironically CHRIST-MASS, CHRIST-MASS, CHRIST-MASS
;)

People tend to forget the origin of that word is all, so I wonder if it is actually accurate to even suggest one celebrates Christmas if they don't attend Christ's mass? Not being a pain, just making an observation...

For you people who are against the term Xmas, read this:

http://www.crivoice.org/symbols/xmasorigin.html

or do research at any number of other places to find out that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the term, because the X stands for Christ--it doesn't "cross out" Christ. When you say "Xmas" you are saying "Christmas." It's like if I said I am Mister Groundhog, I could instead say Mr. Groundhog, and it means exactly the same thing.

But, of course, you still have the right to be wrong.

In the Greek NT (the original version of the NT, lol) the first letter of "Christ" is a chi, which looks like this: X.

I bet everyone who doesn't like Xmas because it supposedly "takes Christ out of Christmas" bows down to a Christmas tree and includes santa in their festivities. ;)

If I want to say “Christmas” but only have a tiny bit of space to do so, I might write “Xmas.” Otherwise I write “Christmas.” I don’t bow down to a Christmas tree—don’t even have one, though I guess I have nothing against them. I haven’t included Santa in my festivities, maybe partly because I have no kids.

Actually, Santa let me down once when he gave me a really cheap football uniform, including a helmet that didn’t even have a face guard.

I would say "Happy Holidays" even if I wasn't required to do so. It's definitely the most polite way to go.
