I always get this picture of them sitting around a table in the cafeteria at the asylum in their open back robes eating canned green beans with plastic spoons while the jeopardy theme song plays in the background on the console tv while another sits in the corner flicking his boogers on the window looking out in the courtyard as the guy with long beard sits in his wheelchair with slobber running down his face.
It's good to get an optimistic perspective from somebody.

And there went my last nerve.

Likewise, you just made it to my ignore. I disagree with Willie half the time, but I hope I'm not that rude about it.
No, you're not. You disagree quite pleasantly.

Hey! I resemble that remark! I find biblical truth in lots of places. As an example like in this song.....

So much style without substance
So much stuff without style
It's hard to recognize the real thing
It comes along once in a while
Like a rare and precious metal beneath a ton of rock
It takes some time and trouble to separate from the stock
You sometimes have to listen to a lot of useless talk

Or this oldie but goodie poster --

Oh my! Homospirituals and blonds coming out of the woodwork! Time to start rethinking Catholicism. Is this ChristianChat, or purgatory?

Q. What do twenty blondes standing ear to ear make?
A. A wind tunnel.

Thought I'd get that in, before your Matriarch descends with cookies.
Matriarchal Blond here de-sending with cookies it seems as though I have been summond....lol Cookie?

So the question really is:

is homospirituality a learned trait or are people born homospirituals and there is nothing that can be done about it....cuz they just are? Is it nature or nurture? Can a homospiritual be reformed or would they just be living a lie by joining the body of Christ?
OCD is a strange disorder. The person who has it believes that only he understand exactly how things are supposed to be, only he can fix things properly to get things in just the right order, (and it is so overwhelming there is actually a right side of a piece of bread to butter and a wrong side... literally), and everyone else is simply WRONG! Everybody Else is incapable of being right even if they do/think exactly as the OCDer says to do that.

I think that's the same thing as homospirituals. How do you reach anyone if they're absolutely sure you're wrong even if you believe exactly as they do? There is no fixing it. God may well miraculously heal the person, but we're not God and have no medical background to fix the health problem. At best, and in true Christian love, we can only pray for God's mercy, because the person is incapable of hearing us because the volume is too high on his own inner dialog.

Of course, that's just what I think. I don't know what others think, so I'm asking. Does this sound right?

You forgot the guy who is eating the boogers off of the window.

I still have tears in my eyes from laughing!

While not born homospirituals, they were, like all of us, born ambiguously homospiritual, in having eyes, without vision, and plenty of self. It's the self which does not die, somehow wasn't killed, before it multiplied. (Like a small ball of bread dough, put in yeast and let it work, out pops a big old, black pumpernickel.)

There are only theories, one of which is the homospiritual suffers from a degenerative spiritual dyslexia, where God dies, instead of self, where the new man is super replaced with the old man, as a result, the old man taking on an anthropomorphic god replacement, born of this narcissistic, dyslexic maleficence. It's been written about in the Bible, of the Christ complex clinically, and parabolically around the end of "Man in the Iron Mask," in the form of deranged shouting, "I am Louie! I am Louie!"
If a pumpernickel pops out, you're not making bread right. (I hate pumpernickel. lol)

Those people headhunt newbies.

They swoop in on fresh blood. They attack, we see it, we join in......fight begins, they leave.....
Blah...blah....rinse, repeat as needed.

The cycle will never end, no matter if we feed them or not.
Hmm, I have trouble believing that... or something is missing. They didn't bother me at all when I was new. (Am I still new?) Matter of fact, they tended to avoid me. I wonder if that has to do with my directness.

What kind of newbies do they go for, since I seem to be plague material for them?

Well, the good thing is that I'm pretty sure there are no entrance exams that you have to answer correctly to gain admittance to the kingdom.

I don't want to derail this thread, but I posted a new thread in the News Forum about a Miami principal being fired. This pertains to the serious dangers of liberalism.

Now back to homospirituals. :)
I generally avoid politics. I get very passionate about it. (Hard to believe, I get more passionate than my worse on here, isn't it? lol)

Personally, I think I am quite tolerant and accepting of most anything. I believe people who don't agree with me have every right in the world to be wrong.

Surprisingly, I am not bothered by politics much. I believe they are all liars and only out for themselves, so that pretty well covers it all.
