I think Bowman would agree.
I wonder if he's seen this thread.

Sorry Tintin, can't go there, but I would like to know how you got there. But why this 'get' at Israel?, I understand why anyone should feel for the Palestinians, but why the anti Israeli sentiment? Do you feel the Jews are not part of God's plan any more?
I didn't say that. I'm not anti-Israeli. Modern Israel isn't the biblical Israel, that's all.

OK I can sort of agree with this, but its this that caught my eye

But in terms of who the true descendants of the Israelites are in all of this, I'd say the Palestinians (or at least some of them) are it.
This is a little on the wrong side of birthright to me, and these feelings in your heart are dangerous ones to harbour. They may have been broken from the vine and we grafted in, but we are told not to be complacent within our grafting.

The Jews have a place and a part to play within this world, they are God's witnesses to the world. Whether in charge as they are in Israel now or in persecution as they were almost 68 years ago.

The Israel of the last days is not, nor ever will be anything more than the staging grounds for the fulfillment of all the prophesies concerning the last days of this age.

So many folks throw around the term "a shadow" of what is to come. It would be wonderful if those folks could see this everywhere concerning the events of this age, if not for any other reason than it is this age now, and not the Eternal Kingdom of God.

Yes, we are to love the Israelis, whether friend or foe, but this does not mean we pray for anything the government may do that is against Jesus Christ. It is not a difficult formula to labor over. We are to love all mankind and pray for all souls.

As for the true Israel, we await New Jerusalem to be brought down by God, Himself. Now it stands to reason, God having chose (new) Jerusalem as His City, has chosen it as the capital. The capital of what? Of the true and eternal Israel. When I speak of these places I have what the names translate to in English or whatvver language is being spoken or read. Sop please do not think of the Israel of God as a place that can be mapped by anyone other than God Himself.

No one need believe my understanding, but do not simply reject it because you have no grip on how things will be or are. This is said in all tranquility, and not as an affront. God bless all who are in Jesus Christ, Yeshua, and may He return soon to set us all straight on His Way.......amen.
