I just realized something.....the words singing and sinning are very very close. How do we know that it wasn't a misprint and instead of singing we are told to go on sinning in the new testament?
I agree. There does appear to be a fine line between singing and sinning.

Do you offer animal sacrifices as Psa 66:13.15 say? Go to the temple to pray three times a day to pray? Have hundreds of wives as David?
I remember a hand full. but no where does it say David had hundreds of wives.....so your stretch of scripture was OPINION and not fact.....

Quote the verse that states that David had hundreds of wives.......!

So when God commanded singing that "really" means one does not have to sing but can "really' do as he pleases?

Where did God command singing in the N.T. The two sets of verses that you use to promote no instruments are not directed at assembly capacity worship, but rather individuals as they go about their daily business....The Ephesians test uses subordinate clauses to show what is it like for and individual to be continually filled with the spirit.....and is not COMMANDED as a assembly capacity action in way of worship......!

Personally not into "hyms" or corperate type songs, but Psalms yes personal words yes;

I want to do this praise;

Singing in the kingdom;

Revelation 15:3, "And they sing the Song of Mosheh, the servant of Yahweh, and the Song of the Lamb, saying: Great and marvelous are Your works, Father Yahweh Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of saints!"

Not for me......................as with any other earthly activity...........it depends on one's heart. Why we sing (or anything else) is the key............IF it is to praise God, then there is no sin involved.

In all things praise God..............no danger of sin there............but, now, that's just me.

Let's get a clear understanding of what is being talked about.

Is it a sin to sing along to instrumental music outside of the weekly Sabbath gathering?

If not, can such singing ever be considered worship?

Say if 2 or 3 are together during this singing, would that now make it a sin, or no longer worship?

Let's say it is a large group of people gathering together, playing and singing songs of praise to God, but not in a formal setting, or on the Sabbath. Is this not worship? Is this a sin?

(Continuing)

Is the Church only a formal Sabbath gathering, or is the Church something else entirely?

Is the Sabbath gathering somehow differentiated from any other gathering of Christians, according to Scripture?

You see, if you define the gathering of the saints according to Scripture, and define "Church" according to Scripture, yet you ban singing accompanied by instruments from Church worship,
Then singing accompanied by instruments MUST be banned in all settings. There is no alternative or logical loophole.

If we allow that singing, accompanied by instruments, outside of the gathering of saints is not sin, then we must define it as worship,
as all things done to God's glory are worship, and all this done not to His glory are sin.

If singing accompanied by instruments is worship, and allowed in gatherings of Christians,
then there is no ban of instruments for the Church.

Church is not a Sabbath meeting. It is a people.
Whenever saints gather together, even as friends coming over for dinner on a Tuesday night, we are at Church, because we are Church. If we can sing Psalms, hymns and spiritual songs together, with a guitar in hand, after the meal, then we just used an instrument in Church, and it was glorifying worship before the Father.

1 day out of 7 Christians need to recognize what Church is, and need to remember that they are at Church wherever they are at.

If my wife, my children, and I have worshipped God together by singing along to Keith Green's recording of Psalm 23,
have we somehow disobeyed God's commands? We were gathered together... and on our way to our local congregation on a Sabbath morning... singing alongside instruments. Shame on us for using instruments in Church.

Quote the verse that states that David had hundreds of wives.......!
SeaBass must have been confusing David with Solomon. 1 Kings 11:1 - But King Solomon loved many foreign women, as well as the daughter of Pharaoh: women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians, and Hittites-- 2 from the nations of whom the Lord had said to the children of Israel, "You shall not intermarry with them, nor they with you. Surely they will turn away your hearts after their gods." Solomon clung to these in love. 3 And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines; and his wives turned away his heart.
