Matthew 16:1-3 (KJV) [SUP]1 [/SUP]The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven. The AC rules for 42 months, Rev 13:5. Pretty much any time frame dealing with Satan is given in months, Lunar or Lunatic is of Satan. Days usually relate to divinity. The two witnesses do their work for 1,260 days. It is the same time as the Beast/AC.
We see the description of Satan in Rev 13:3:
"And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed."
This was pronounced way back in Gen 3:15:
"He (Jesus) shall bruise your head, And you (Satan) shall bruise His heel."
As for the Tribulation period itself. I don't know how long it is or when it actually starts. We know it lasts less than a generation from Mat 24. The common belief is 7 years with the Beast in charge for half of that. I do not think the first 5 seals are part of the Tribulation, rather they are the "Beginnings of Sorrows." I base this on the souls of the martyrs crying out for vengeance at the 5th seal so if the Trib had started, they would not be impatient. Clearly the Trib is underway at the 6th seal.
Some have suggested that the 6th seal encompasses all the trumpets. I am not sure I agree. However, I do know that all 7 Bowls take place before or during the 7th trump, before Jesus returns.
I think it very possible that Trumps 1-4 describe the same event - An asteroid or comet hitting earth. The Beast does not appear until the 5th or 6th Trumpet.

Jerusalem will be never destroyed again.

maybe just a slight broadening of Mystery Babylon to the "unfaithful old covenant community", for which Jerusalem was the center is all that's needed - though anyone would have thought this is implicit in all the symbolism of the woman.
this had been about The Covenant. obviously the covenant was with the people of the city...and with the people would did not reside in that city, but made pilgrimages to it (see Acts 2: 1-11 - Pentecost).
70AD is pretty strong evidence that when Jesus said "these are the days of vengeance" He meant it.

To say Jerusalem is Babylon is just as ridiculous as the US or the Vatican. They are all parts of this system, but they don't make the whole. As far as these scriptures about the witnesses, these don't match at all. This is just a mixup You just can't put prophetic scripture anywhere you want & force fit it.

i don't believe babylon is a people...it is a spiritual kingdom...which would of course include lots of people as members...
babylon is called a city in scripture...but then in hebrews 11 abraham's spiritual home is said to be a city...and in revelation 21 the bride of christ is called new jerusalem...it is apparent that these cities are figurative depictions of spiritual realities...and so is mystery babylon...
