Yup. Perfectly pure and altruistic in every thought, motive and action. Humble and Completely 100% selfless in every way and isn't afraid to tell you about it.
HAHA...I am just a low life sinner saved by grace, unworthy of the least of the mercies of God and called to speak up in these last days....the end is near...warn as many as we can...get up and dust off when we fall or fail and above all...keep on keeping on....!

Me too...and I want to protect Gods children from these wolves who discourage people in their walk with their illusions of perfection.

of course you're being silly, what about "cleaned as white as snow"... and ... well, a lot of verses you haven't read yet....

we can read until we are blue in the face; if we do not undertand context, or major on making doctrines out of misunderstood scripture...well then, we are in error

We cannot and the Bible does NOT say we can or we do, wash away our own sins

I have never heard anything so ridiculous...why did Christ die? So you can try harder to be good?

To hear them tell it, continuing sin offerings and then an admonition of the Lord Jesus to start paying serious attention to the law, then He returning to heaven, should have been enough. What they're advocating is no change from the failed course of the Old Testament law, if one can work to justify themselves. And even then, Abraham and Old Testament company are accepted by faith, not by keeping law.

This also begs the question, then, that some no longer have corruptible flesh? That makes some on ChristianChat greater than Paul, and equal to the Lord Jesus. Who in their right mind would lay claim to the perfection of God, in the first place? This isn't Christianity. This is insanity, literally delusional!

Colossians 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross.

Galatians 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

No doubt...but there are some who claim to be sinless...I have seen some say they have not sinned in years....other say that they do not sin and others who say they are above sin anymore.............

John said it best......If we say that we have NO SIN (present tense) we are deceived and the truth is not in us.....

It does not get any plainer then that....A person is deceived and has NO TRUTH IN THEM if they lay claim to being sinless or saying that they do not sin......

The only aspect of a regenerated man that does not sin is the spirit aspect which has been born of God's Spirit, God's seed and it is eternally saved, sealed, justified and sanctified in Christ for all eternal ages....it is BOUND in a body of SIN that is not subject unto the law/word of God and the battle ground is the mind....Many times we succeed SOMETIMES we fail and SIN period! Those who reject this are blind to the truth. There was only one that was sinless and he is IN HEAVEN mediating as I type...His Name is JESUS!

To the law 'biders:

There are two operative covenants; but you can only be under one at a time.

1) Faithfully keep all 613 mitzvoht without a single breach (as Jesus did) and you will be declared righteous.

2) Accept that Jesus fulfilled the 613 mitzvoht on your behalf and accept Jesus' righteousness, and unearned Salvation on God's terms.

There is no way to be under both covenants!

Hey D, thought you would get a kick out of this. My husband has a friend that at the time he told him this was going to Baptist (don't know if it was Southern or Independent) church. They approached him about being a deacon but he had to sign a letter that said he had never had an impure thought.

He told them that anyone that signs a letter like that is a liar and handed the letter back to them.

Probably Independent as they are very legalistic....women have to wear dresses and culottes...KJV only...etc......

AND if one has chosen option #1, they have to be followed perfectly from physical birth to death!

There is something terribly wrong in a person's perception of Holy, Almighty God, the Creator, Jesus Christ, that cannot see their own utter depravity and uncleanness, our total inability to stand in His presence by any means our own. What spirit is behind this, I don't know, but I do know it's not the Holy Spirit's leading. It is not truth.

When you realize our Lord, you also realize your place, gain a profound respect for the cross and all the work of our Lord Jesus we can take zero credit for, ever. There is just something very wrong with anybody having a scintilla of pride of life as to their spiritual merits, the whole gospel diametrically opposed to any such attitude and hubris.

It does make sense, for somebody who's subtly trying to imply others lack salvation for their imperfection, would make sense of somebody trying to raise doubt.

I think many in the holier than thou sinless attitude folks are insecure and were probably raised by folks who demeaned them so entirely that they've developed a coping mechanism to never feel inferior again.

Are the 613 mitzvoht part of the Law of Moses?
