How would you describe this fruit? Are these the works or fruit of one saved? Just asking seeing how you place such heavy emphasis upon fruit and works proving who we are....Both A and B on the list equal willful sin.....

a. Speaking evil of those in charge (moderators)
b. Judging and condemning based upon saying we are fruitless --->even though we all had stated a saved child of God will bear fruit just that fruit/works do not keep saved (Slander and false witness)
c. Double emphasis upon "stained"--->Regardless of views there have been a multitude of scripture quoted and referenced
You accuse others of doing what you and your team does.

a. Nothing evil was said about moderators. You do have a warped idea of what evil is. For instance: doing GOOD IS EVIL.

b. Judging: WHO has done this more than YOU??? And someone else here who shall remain nameless. And also a third, but haven't seem him around in quite some time. Odd.

No need TO TALK about your fruit..

It is evident to all.

I know Mr Phart and have had many a conversation with him.
We haven't agreed all the time and the main thing is OSAS (Mr P correct me if I am wrong)

I would say that that from my understanding is that he recognises that a genuine believer can and will struggle with sin, not walk correctly, be ensnared and get it wrong, but if they are trusting in Jesus for forgiveness and salvation they will be saved but they want to change and become more like Jesus.

Willful sin is to reject Jesus and go back to the law. Reject his sacrifice and reject our initial placement of faith in him.
I think it's wonderful that we can all sit here and enjoy each other's company.
Praise the Lord and pass the pecan pie!

Hey everyone can I as a favour?

Two of my daughters are away for the next week at a Christian youth gathering in Norwich (England)
Thousands of kids go to it.

Can I ask that you pray for the whole week for all the kids and all the leaders.
For the parents that this is the first time have gone and may worry. My two is their 3rd time.
They are excited to be with friends and learn more about Jesus.
Wisdom for the leaders.

I know there is a prayer forum but I ask you all here because this thread is where I have got to know you all.
Thats why I am asking.

I am not wishing to place a burden on anyone, just asking if you remember then please pray. If not then it's not a problem.

God bless you all my brothers and sisters in Jesus

I do, too :) Sometimes I feel all alone in my cherry pie love :( Nice to meet you! :D

Praise the Lord! :)
Now I ask you. Do you like single cream or double cream on it, smothering it?
Cream is white and not purple. How do you cope with that?

I agree in that the commandments still exist, however by abiding in Christ and His commandments do we keep the Sabbath rest in Him 24/7, not esteeming one day above another, but always giving thanks for all things all the time while resting in His covenant....Jesus magnified the 10 commandments, and now they are laws of the Spirit, therefore we offer up spiritual sacrifices daily unto to God, of the which Paul said is our reasonable service....the literal Sabbath day was once glorious, but only a shadow of the more Glorious Sabbath in Christ.........be blessed
Hi Wilybob,

The Sabbath rest is on the 7th Day of the week (sunset Friday to sunset Saturday). This commandment (Ex 20:8-11) is not for everyday of the week. It is a celebration or memorial of creation and we rest on this day because God made it a Holy day in the creation week (Gen 2:1-3). The Sabbath was made for man and Jesus is the God of creation who made it and He is the Lord of the Sabbath Day (Mark 2:27-28). The scripture says the only way to rest in Jesus 24/7 is by learning of Him through His Word and following what he says (Matt 11:28-30). The 4th commandment of God's Law has never been a Shadow of anything as it is a result of the finished Work of the creation week (Gen 2:1-3). If we break it like any other commandment we commit sin and are guilty before God. The Sabbath is the 7th Day of the creation week. Jesus made it for us and Jesus is the Lord of it (Gen 2:1-3; Mark 2:27-28).

God bless

One thing noticed by many is your inability to admit error and sin....My post was valid....and instead of agreeing with truth you accuse and refuse to admit error and or the truth.....

Fran's errors and blatant lies have been pointed out multiple times by numerous people, but she is too proud and stubborn to admit to any such thing. Instead she judges and slanders people in a way she has become accustomed to, and then constantly complains about people taking things personally.

Besides him always spelling words wrong (recognise), lol, my mate from across the pond has summarized my position correctly. The OSAS thing doesn't bother me because I know he's all about faithfulness in word and deed to God, not because that somehow earns salvation, but because he's fully aware that's what the Spirit inside the saved person longs for and works in him.

He doesn't try to rationalize cold, dead faith. He doesn't promote doctrines that are exactly contrary to plain words of scripture. He doesn't invent new definitions of words to keep himself 'right' about various doctrines he believes in. And on and on. He's honest, he's sincere. He's not servicing an agenda. That's why we can and do enjoy the fellowship of the Spirit even though we do not agree completely in some areas of doctrine.

The glue that binds us together in peace and unity despite our disagreements in doctrine is our desire to live in word and deed for Christ because we have been forgiven by God. That's our common denominator. I can't have that kind of peace and unity with some in this thread with whom I disagree because they seek to rationalize not living in word and deed for Christ, and they downplay the necessity of the believer's faith, by virtue of what faith is, to be expressed in what they do. It's impossible for me to have brotherly fellowship with someone, regardless if they are really saved or not, who rationalizes a fruitless, dead relationship with God. It's not even that they have a fruitless, dead relationship with God. It's that they accept a fruitless, dead relationship with God because "salvation is so dawgone not of works, by golly!"

My post was fair, honest and to the point.....it was based upon biblical truth and what has been said in this thread....If I would have said it about someone she disagrees with she would have bailed right on board....so....it is what it is.......!

~By freeing us from our heart of stone, we are free to follow Him

Am just making a comment on this about a heart of stone.

While I understand why you are saying this, it's not about the body of Christ. This is for Israel. Those under the law.

What we are as believers in the new creation man. A new genesis of believers. The funny thing is that I knew this too, but was confused because of this stony heart thing.

Our flesh or our nature of sin inherited from Adam is circumcised when born from above. That alone makes us a different being. A being of Spirit and we follow Holy Spirit, not laws that Israel was given.

The Voice of Holy Spirit within is our leader for it's the Spirit that Jesus sent to us for our help. And the written Word is a guide.

It was the member "grandpa" who showed me this about the stony heart truth, and am so grateful that he did.
I totally agree with you. When I referenced "He removed our heart of stone" I was referring to the circumcision of heart that Paul talks about for believers.

What I was striking at with my post, is the beautiful reality that He causes us to do what we would truly desire to do because He has changed our nature by His grace.

He designed us. Created us. And established good works before us so that we might declare Him. This is the role of a son. He reveals his (or her) father through their obedience.

And yes I do believe we are called to be obedient. I simply believe our obedience is a result of His love for us not the cause of it. And while Jesus says that His obedience is why the Father loved Him, I believe Scripture teaches us that God loved the world already and thats why He sent His Son. And now WE get to step into the Father's love because of Christ's obedience.

And it His love that allows us to love Him back. And it is His love that empowers our obedience from the heart.
