Because sin hurts us and those around us.

To me it's like a toddler saying.....Dad loves me and saves me.., so why should I listen to Him when he says not to play with fire?

When the kid falls in and get 3rd degree burns,...,(i believe God protects us when we are 4 years old but when we are teenagers, he lets us learn the hard way.)

God warns of sin like we earn toddlers to stay away from the fire.

We will still love and care for our kid even when they disobey but their disobedience can cause permanent damage and a lot of hurt.
and to stay away from a law, that will condemn you.

because you cannot read in context.

so are you dissmissing the fact that chosen men of God given the spirit of faith so strong that even they fell short ?

It seems to me you are..

If it was christ alone that saves then surely the amount of faith that he gave moses and jonah should have been enough for them not to want to kill them selves ?
Jonah wanted to die when God didn't destroy Nineveh...very close to wanting to kill himself.

I dont see how this is valid to my argument that Jesus warns us of sin then leaves it up to us to decipher.. And i dont get how chidren who have angels who look back in the face of God do not get warned about sin.

Yup its an emotional state of being to want to die. but reality kicks in and says what use will you be to God if you kill your self ? and how can you perform the tasks God has in line for you.. conclusion taking your own life is a sin even thought of as murdering your self.

Faith without work is dead bottom line.... however even the works of the faith is not enough to save you and even work of faith is not enough to save you or allways get every situation right first time...

Nope it is faith plus works plus Christ that saves you plus the father and plus the holy spirit..

It is not christ alone coz if it was you wouldnt make the mistakes you do.. coz he was perfect and didnt make any mistakes.. so if it was christ alone that saves you how would you make theese mistakes ?
I would say all that Sanctified you. I believe people are saved when they become born again children of God and receive the Holy spirit. However I recognise that you don't count people as "saved" until they are glorified with Christ and have new bodies.
.I believe that might be the root of a lot of misunderstanding.

the law has never changed only fullfilled now we are inside the law and not under it.. when you understand this youll reconise your false beliefs..
well, scripture says we're under grace ((Romans 6:14))
so if we're inside the law, grace sits on top of it, and the law is under it too. ;)

It is not true believing, What calvin said or did not say means nothing.

If their faith was in God, They never would have left, Their faith was in the world. They may have "believed" but as james said, even demons believe, No one is ever saved by mere belief. It takes true faith to be saved, A dead faith never saved anyone, and a dead faith can be belief, because James never denied they believed anything, he denied they ever had true faith,
james was jewish convert was he not.

Jonah fled because of hate for Nineveh not because he was scared..,.

◄ Jonah 4 ►
English Standard Version

1But it displeased Jonah exceedingly,a and he was angry. 2And he prayed to the LORD and said, “O LORD, is not this what I said when I was yet in my country? That is why I made haste to flee to Tarshish; for I knew that you are a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and relenting from disaster. 3Therefore now, O LORD, please take my life from me, for it is better for me to die than to live.” 4And the LORD said, “Do you do well to be angry?”

Yes Christ alone saves, and you preach a false gospel in denying it. That is a fact.

The above is absurd, false and ridiculous. It goes along with Gospel denying thought.
AMEN....I started to address it but realized it will be a complete waste of calories to type it out.....he will just deny it as he has from the very first moment he entered this thread.....can you imagine saying that IF IT WAS CHRIST ALONE THAT SAVES.....WOW.....same thing with the other BRIT saying that the CROSS is not ENOUGH or The IMPUTED righteousness of Christ is a neat little trick that does not WORK.......what is up with that........

people who get personal have an agenda in my experience
I believe that people who insult others or easily offended (when the other person didn't mean it that way) are immature and need more compassion, forgiveness and grace. God calls us to love others even when they don't like us.

you are missing the point that you will judged on redemption by your deeds and Not the deeds of Jesus.. not a false gospel and not denying..

Moses was given the spirit more powerful than any other ever and he still fell short.. why is that ?
Oh.......maybe because he was UNDER the LAW and STRUCK the rock in ANGER TWICE......and as a representative of the LAW all he could do was LEAD to the PROMISE land but NEVER deliver because it takes a SAVIOR to deliver into the land of REST (JOSHUA)
