Like a child void of understanding and a child of the devil who cannot receive truth.
Even as I have tried to show you that the works of faith, which is necessary for one to be born again, are not the same as the works of the flesh or of the law, which is what Paul was talking about, and you couldn't see that, neither can you see or understand how it is possible for one to lose their salvation.

You showed me your belief system, You succeded.

What you failed to show me is works of any type will allow one sin to be forgiven, or how works of any type will get a person to heaven.

Keep preaching your works, and I will keep teaching my faith, And do not fret, Like James, I prove my faith by my works.. Just like he did.

People, works do not save you. Works do not get you forgiven. AND works do not get you into heaven. Simple concept to understand. Even a two-year old gets it. A forum full of adults does not..

I'm afraid this group of adults don't want to grasp that good works are meant to perfect their faith in God. By the way "Good works" for man to do is not being a good father because the only thing good is Father in heaven. As such only doing His will can be considered good works.

It's amazing how many ways I have seen others make arguments against these good works of the law of Elohim and His son Messiah Yeshua.

I beg to differ sir.
On the contrary, there is more scripture that suggests otherwise, that it is indeed possible for one to lose their salvation.
If it is impossible for a child of God to lose their salavation, then I think it would be paramount for you to answer an important and pertinent question. That is if you can.
The bible clearly states, we as children of God, are a part of and make up, the body of Christ.
I think youll find a child of God who became a catholic priest and then abused Gods trust to abuse young children...

HE has well and truly made that child stumble (and that priest is subject to making a child of God stumble...The punishment is death.l

This is the mill stone scripture ....God says it is better for him if he just put a mill stone round his neck,,,,,,Coz God is saying I do not want to know you know more..... end of and get out of my church....

For the rest of his life that child will not trust anyone until he meets someone special... and so he spends his life broken until he comes to God.. Then he has a really hard time beieving God coz he wonders where was God when this was happenning. ?

Where was God when frigging Demons where raping and Killing... Just like they are now in Syria,,, thank God we have someone like trump whos at last said no man should make a Child of God stumble... and hoorarrrrrrrrrrrrr :)

It is probably a combination of factors.
In their minds
1. All sin forgiven
2. good works done by believers are good
3. good works done by non-believers evil
Yup ive noticed that et thinks his furure sins will be forgiven to... meaning hes the done deal befor everyone else .... go figure..

I say et needs to phone home and pray with hope to walk with his brothers in the new kingdom.. and then et need to do some good works evryday. :)

It comforts me to know that no matter how hard I work, And no matter how many times I fail. God will not let go of me, and he will continue to do the work he started.. That like Jonah, I can try to walk away from God, But there is really no place I can go. He will always put a road block and I will always come to a point where I say ok God I will do what you will. And the job God has cut out for me, Will be carried out.

What saddens me is there are people here who reject this thought. And think we will gain or lose salvation based on how well we do.

Which by the way, Happens to be the topic of this thread. How are we saved, By works or "not by works"

The topic is NOT sanctification (how a christian should act..
Amen bro and most fail to understand that even sanctification is a dual process.....

a. Sanctified and perfected forever positionally in Christ thru salvation dia faith and grace void of works
b. The daily process of sanctification in our lives....and this grouping has every gambit of maturity to be found from new in the faith and not even walking yet as a babe in Christ to the most faithful mature servant to be found on the planet

B has zero to do with salvation and our sealed, justified eternal position in Christ.....

HAHAH I am fairly confident that if God made chocolate or had chocolate that what we make as humans would be like the boot scrapings on Gabriel's feet after he stood in Babylon and made Daniel to understand one of his many dreams.....as compared to heavenly Chocolate....hey.....a new idea...a chocolate company that makes Heavenly Chocolate.....extra sugar and artery clogging fat HAHAHHAHAHAHH

The way i see santification.. Is your prayers being answered......

Anyhows its like this in the true Gospel you can believe that you will keep your faith until the end,,,,and you can believe that you are saved for that reason until the end.....

There is no other reason than obeying his statutues daily is to also believe with a pure heart that you are one of his...

Cos Jesus states by this he will know you are one of his..

And so the batlle continues...:)

I suppose I should clarify: ^^^^^^

Let me of course ask you a few questions.

If you have sinned with your eyes, why haven't you plucked out your right eye? (and why is Jesus letting you keep your left eye?). Same with your hands.

How are you doing with being more righteous than the pharisees? they were SERIOUS about keeping the Law of Moses.

How about being as perfect as God.....that's a tough one. Don't give me the try stuff either, Jesus was VERY specific about it."Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father in Heaven is perfect" He commanded you to be perfect.

So you my friend have failed miserably at following just a couple of these things and will be cast into the pit of Hell.......But for His grace and mercy there is a way. Thank God.

Jesus was teaching the Law. His ministry while he walked the earth was to show how futile it was to try to live by the law.

That the only way to live was by His Grace and Mercy.

That what He was about to do on the cross was going give us a way.

The New Covenant, not yet established while Jesus was giving the sermon on the mount. If anything those folks left with a sense of "we are doomed, WHAT can we do. This teacher has given us MORE than we could ever possibly handle, MORE than the Pharisees are already crushing us with currently... HELP US, please HELP us!!!!" And then He did. All praise and Glory to the Messiah for what he has done.

You see there is contextual and chronological meaning in that bible you read, and if you understand it for the purpose it was written, you truly will be set free, not just in the life after physical death, but NOW on earth, not bound by the Law and its heavy weight, but free in the Holy Spirit.

2 Corinthians 3:17 : Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

John 8:36 : So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Galatians 5:1: It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm then and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yolk of slavery.

So this is the state of my salvation:

Ephesians 1:13: "In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit."
Romans 11:29: "For the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable"
John 10:28: "I give them eternal life and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand"

So I have: sealed, promised, irrevocable, never and no one will snatch. I would say that is definitive.

Amen to all of it and especially the last line....will add...will lose nothing the Heavenly Father has given me, but WILL raise it up the last day......!

You know and I know there is but one gospel of salvation....it is clear in the bible and simple....to believe in/on Jesus and acknowledge his work by faith (death, burial, and resurrection as payment for our sin)......Galatians teaches that one who blends faith and works has trusted into a false gospel which has no power to save and is double cursed....It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that BELIEVE<---NOT ONE WORK MENTIONED.....

The plenteous in number that boast about their works in the name of JESUS as their ticket into the kingdom will find out one day that their way was a different door that leads to the proverbial lake-o-fire....albeit too late and tragically!

Right, all that the Father has given to Christ,He shall lose not any of them, but many are called, but few are chosen.

No person says Jesus is Lord except by the Spirit, for there are many that claim Jesus as Lord, but many are called, but few are chosen.

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

These people claimed Jesus as Lord, for they were called, but not chosen, for their lifestyle did not reflect a Christ like lifestyle, but they were workers of iniquity.

How does a person know that they were chosen, especially if they reflect these faults in their lifestyle, that God says they are not right with Him.

People that claim a person cannot abstain from sin,and we will sin for we are not perfect, and human, will fall victim to a lifestyle that is not right with God,and they try to take away responsibility from the believer.

Paul, faith alone, not saved by works, when we initially come to Jesus,James, faith without works is dead, and a person is justified by works, and not faith alone, after a person has received the Spirit,2 different situations,no contradiction, but they want to drag faith alone, and not saved by works, throughout the time they are claiming Jesus as Lord, and they become relaxed in their walk with God.

1Co 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

If any person thinks I cannot fall, take heed lest you fall, and I do not believe that a lot of people that claimed Christ as Lord even got it right, but were relaxed right from the get go.

1Jn 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
1Jn 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
1Jn 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Love not the world,or the things in the world, the using of money for wants, and material things, and the things of it that are not of God,and that cost money while people are in need for their needs. If anyone loves the world, and the things in it,they are not of the Father.

Which that is what I see among many that have that relaxed lifestyle, taking away responsibility of the believer, that they are worldly, which God said that will be a popular condition of the end time, along with hypocrisy to not abstain from fleshy lusts, and act like Christ.

1Jn 3:17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

1Ti 6:3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
1Ti 6:4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
1Ti 6:5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
1Ti 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
1Ti 6:7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
1Ti 6:8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
1Ti 6:9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
1Ti 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Jas 2:15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
Jas 2:16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
Jas 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
Jas 2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
Jas 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Paul,James, and John, say the same thing,if you neglect the poor, and needy, you do not have faith, you err from the truth, and the love of God does not dwell in you,and if any person believes God blesses with money, and material things, withdraw yourself from them, having food, and clothing,be content, for the love of money is the root of all evil, for it neglects the poor and needy, which is not love, for love of people is the fulfilling of the law,and that is what it is all about, for the kingdom of God is based on love.

But there are millions of people that have that relaxed lifestyle that will benefit themselves with money, and material things, and neglect the poor, and needy. If we are spending our money on wants, and not only our needs, and the needs of other is we can, then we are not relecting the kingdom of God to the world, which by the Spirit the kingdom of God is within you,and if that is the case why does it not get reflected by a lot claiming Christ.

And also by the Spirit we can abstain from sin, because it is not that we cannot abstain from sin,but we want to sin,for it is the tree of good and evil,so we have a choice and are not forced to sin,and even the world can abstain from sin,as they choose what sins they like, and what sins they do not like.

A person led by the Spirit makes the choice to not want to sin, therefore they can abstain from sin by the Spirit, for God will not allow them to be tempted above measure, and will give them a way out of the temptation, and the Spirit will lead them to do good.

2Ti 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Rom 11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

1Pe 2:11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
1Pe 2:12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

Gal 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Gal 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Gal 5:18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Gal 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Gal 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

There is no excuse for why we cannot abstain from sin,for we sin because we want to sin,not because we cannot abstain from sin,for how did some in the world be able to abstain from not cheating on their spouse, not doing drugs, etc, and how much more can we abstain from all sin by the Spirit. If the world can abstain from sin,not liking it,how does the saints not be able to abstain from sins.

Faith alone, not saved by works,we cannot abstain from sin, create an attitude that is relaxed in their walk with Jesus, and they do not measure up to the proper lifestyle they should have to be right with God.

For many are called, but few are chosen
