Hi Stunnedbygrace, I agree with your post with all my heart.

Any time someone approaches a Christian who says he can offer you a deeper relationship with Jesus or a deeper understanding of the bible; about grace, about sin, about salvation, about God; you name it, it is a lie; and a red flag should appear in your mind asking questions.

Especially if someone demeans your intelligence and they say that you have a babies faith of understanding. It is a sin to try to lure God's sheep away from the fold. It is the Great Shepherd
who will lead us to greener pastures and still waters.

9) "For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10) and in Christ you have been brought to fullness."
Collossians2:9

All you have to say is, no thank you, I have the fullness of God dwelling in me.

Interesting sad commentary...I was explaining what the fullness of the Father in you is , after conversion, was last night, but you and others rejected it...

Now you state you have it, and I would argue, you have no understanding about it and only stand staring at the cross and admiring something that is not there....

just an expression, I have not contacted a mod, but given the heat of this thread and the fact the OP continues to badger, harass and bully those he disagrees with and others attempt to tear people down other people by sugar coating their motives and then they all project a calm attitude when a mod does show up, I was merely expressing that it would not be surprising a MOD does show up...
I really haven't seen dcontroversal "bully" anyone in this thread, sure he is dead serious about where he stands concerning his belief on salvation but that is what all of God's people are "supposed" to be,standing firm for our beliefs and more importantly standing firm for God,we aren't "supposed" to be pathetic pushovers that just let people run us over with their beliefs, turn the other cheek yes,let people decide what we believe,"No".

I haven't a clue I've been a devout believer for only about 4 to 5 years, all I can figure is that the Holy spirit enlightens me to many answers.
so a poster says a pure heart is not needed to believe, but Jesus said blessed are those pure in heart for they shall see Father....Only a son sees the Father....

Essentially that poster and many here are syaing this...

Stop making us grow up...our hearts are wicked and we are wicked, and we do not want to see Father....

sheep never become shepherds....sons become shepherds...

OT are sheep. Jesus came for Sons. It's clear in the NT that we are Children of Light and I posted the scriptures. It's a new way..a new day.

We are not Israel but the body of Christ. That is something never seen before on earth. And is an interlude between Israel old, and Israel new. The nation I mean. We the body...children of Light, are about to do something. What that is, I am not yet sure or I mean I am not sure how it's going to happen.

But, when it does...It's all about Israel again.

We are overcomers...and sheep do not overcome anything. They have to be "watched".

Also, I believe we are in the time of the Virgins..
last line...virgins... makes me smile...

so many are trying to be the bride, but not the virgin...and there is a difference...

Here is a big issue I have, and people may take this many ways, but this is show I see it.

When I am given a new believer to help disciple or Sheppard in his new life. I first take him to the basics o the gospel to help him understand, why they needed saved, What God's had planned all along to do to in his goal to restore man to himself. What God actually did, the meaning of the cross, and make sure they understand what it is they have done by choosing to place their faith in Christ.

Once I am sure they understood this, I next talk about what it is they now have in christ as the basis for who they are and what it will take to help them grow

1. I will tell them What God says about them, They are redeemed, they have been bought with a price, They have been justified, they have been born again, What do all these things mean. That God has perfected them forever, and is now in the process of sanctifying them, That God has begun a good work in them, and he promises to complete it until the day of Christ, That they have eaten from the food which endures forever, and have Gods assurance they will never die, never hunger and thirst (need to know what is the meaning of life) That you have eternal life, You will live forever, and you have gods assurance he will raise you on the last day. That you were dead, but now are alive, You where gods enemy, now you are Gods beloved child. That you were not given a spirit of fear, but of peace love and a sound mind, A spirit of adoption whereby we call out abba father, Take him to all the places like eph 1 where we are shown our inheritance as sons of God. How God will never leave us or forsake us, That even if we walk away, God will leave everything and come to bring us back, Because he is the good Sheppard. and we as sheep know his voice, and will follow. because he will guide us back.

Tell him as John said, it is the knowledge that we have eternal life which is the basis for our continued faith in him, and we need to take the promises of God, memorize them and put them in our heart because the evil one is going to try to take those away from us, so that when trial and tribulation and suffering comes, we lose faith and struggle mightily

Then, we have some here that want me to say after all this, After saying, God will finish what he started, he has perfected you, He will never let you fall.. Now, if you do not abide and grow, you will be cut off and cast into hell, You will lose salvation, you will forfeit your eternity

I am sorry, its bad enough that as a mature believer who would hear these things, I would ask, what about all yu just spent all these weeks telling me about what I have in christ, Now your saying this?

But as a new babe in christ. what would I think? Everything you just spent weeks telling me us nonsense, how can I trust you when you tell me all those things, and now just contradicted yourself and made me doubt God. If God will never leave or never fail, and will finish his work, how could I fall away? Hw could he let me fall, if he promised to never let me fall to begin with?

This is legalism 101, it takes away from God, and places the onus on self. Forgive me if I refuse to tell a child of God yes, God hod promised all these things, But then again, You better watch out, because you can fall away, even though he promised he would never let you.
Jesus did promise He wouldn't leave us..... but read your Bibles, there's no place that He promised WE WOULDN'T LEAVE HIM.

Sorry stones, I can't follow that. You aren't making sense to me right now. Might be my tiredness, dunno.

He will separate the people one from another like a shepherd separates and He will place the sheep on His right and the goats on His left. Then He will say to those on His right, Come you who are blessed by My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

I get that you aren't crazy about Him calling you a sheep, but who inherits a Kingdom if not a son? But you think you won't be there...?
Which Judgement is this in Matt 25?

Folks talk about all the sin increasing in the world & in the church, yet spiritual whoredoms are never mentioned.

what folly,I have not nor ever claimed to have seen God,Jesus,or the Holy spirit, would I like to?
Definitely,will I?
that is up to God.
Jesus indeed said the pure of heart will "See" God he didn't say that we couldn't "Believe" upon God without having seen him,it's the same concept as Jesus told thomas..."blessed are they who have not seen yet believed"!
I was simply establishing that are hearts once introduced to sin are wicked and deceitful, and yes Jesus told his disciples"unless ye be converted having the faith of a child ye shall not see heaven" but this doesn't mean our heart's will obtain such purity,we can have an absolute faith in God but a "pure heart" is not required in order to serve God or likewise to receive Salvation,"Faith" is to be absolute but our hearts being pure is just about as rare a probability as a rich man going to heaven for in like manner is it like"a camel going through the eye of a needle"!

I think it is the judgement that comes at the very end, where we inherit the kingdom prepared for us, where He separates those who He knows from those He doesn't. I actually don't like to think too much about it because it saddens me that some won't inherit the kingdom.

What do you think it is?

Being born again by God through the Holy Spirit gives us a pure heart.
This simple fact seems to elude so many. God didn't fix our fleshly, human heart. What is born of the flesh is flesh. We are given a NEW HEART!!
We need to embrace that. Our New hearts have been MADE PURE BY THE BLOOD OF CHRIST.

Amen,

I can't understand, How can someone who is dead to God, and enemy of God, not part of his family, in rebellion against God have a pure heart in order to believe? One can not have a pure heart unless God makes it pure, And that happens after salvation, I do not see how it can happen before.

even more amazing is I do not see how people ca be upset because someone thinks this, its just a disagreement.

Now I see that you said Mathew 25 and I was thinking about the verse in Revelation. Sorry. My post that you quoted was concerning the verse in Revelation. I'll try to look up Mathew 25 before I head out.
