I wonder about those who claim sinless perfectionism. Just like I wonder about any who claim they are no longer in need of God's grace, or that they are worthy of what God freely gives them, or that the righteousness found through putting on Christ is their own.
you and DCON need to compile a list of those who have stated we are sinless and perfect...

I have never stated this or that my works save me...on that note, please also compile a list of those who say their works saved them....

You both are chronic malignant narcissist bullies that have to lie about people and what they say in order to remain the smartest people on the whole board.....you both need to stop

There are those who claim to be sinless and perfected, but if pressed, they are forced to admit they actually do still sin, but it is a way for them to vaunt themselves above others, while they lie about who they are. Further, they will also say that if we do still sin, then we are not saved.

Essentially, they deny 1 John 1:8 and 1 John 1:10~

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.
stop yammering your gums and provide a list...name names please...I grow tired of baseless accusation and lies from you and DCON and waiting for you to produce evidence...produce names and not baseless beating of the air to show how tough you guys are....

If no list can be produced, then you are both bearing false witness and simply making baseless accusation and manufacturing false evidence...

I was chosen in Him before the foundation of the world. God knows the end from the beginning!
Actually loveme1 has a point for once*:

"And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind." - Ephesians 2:1-3

Of course the next verse is "But God.." Ephesians 2:4.

*Anyhow, even a blind squirrel can find a nut once in a while. A broken clock is right twice a day...&c

Stop being so so high minded you and I were filthy sinners without Faith in the Messiah. By the Grace of GOD and nothing else..

GOD knows all things indeed..

but all condemned and only believing in the Son of GOD can save us.

If if you think you betrayed not the Messiah then you are mistaken..

He was on the cross for your sin as much of the rest of us....

If not then we are dead In our sin.

Judas Repented himself and took the money back.. He came to believe.
Not addressing the Judas dispute but this one error...It is not highmindedness to believe what the Word says about us.

~Greeting
Eph 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To the saints who are in Ephesus, and are faithful in Christ Jesus:

Eph 1:2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Spiritual Blessings in Christ
Eph 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,

Eph 1:4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love

Eph 1:5 he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,
Eph 1:6 to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.

In Acts 1:25, Peter said Judas left his apostolic ministry “to go where he belongs.”
Literally, the verse reads “to go to his own place.” Jesus said in John 6:70

“Have I not chosen you, the Twelve? Yet one of you is a devil.”

Judas sold Jesus for the price of a dead man, and that is what he repented of. Judas knew the religious authorities wanted Jesus dead. Being sorry for selling Jesus unto death does not mean Judas came to belief and was saved.

Jesus replied, “The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with me will betray me. 24 The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born.”

My opinion of Magneta and her high minded tone... in regard to the conversation is not corrected here. Lovely scripture though.

Same question, what have you done today - besides complaining
Last night one of the girls we mentor in our Ministry , preached to 186 women at a Friday night live event[ similar to Celebrate Recovery] in a church we minister in. The harvest came to 72 souls and many were touched, encouraged and edified by the preaching of the word...

and you?

I don't think the scriptures say to be opinionated about our sisters and brothers, but to respect them in love.

They should all.study the word plenteous (many) as applied unto those who push works....Cain pushed works and is identified as a false teacher in Jude!
Hi Dcon,

This isn't really correct. He didn't push works at all. God warned Cain that sin was crouching at his door and he must master it. How does one do that, but by faith. Cain could have cared less about following after God. He did not come up with a works-based religion.

He kind of did what was required, but without faith. It would be like parents requiring their children to go to church. They sing, they go to Sunday school and etc. But they don't like God and they are doing what they do because it's required of them.

So no, Cain did not try to follow God by good works or he never would have murdered his brother. He totally was an evil wicked man.

Just sharing Scripture, there are many things we see that seem contradictory, or, don't make logical sense. But here we see the position of the elect prior to conversion.

I think it is amazing, personally.

There is no way around it, that was our position, even though we were chosen to salvation, Ephesians 1:11ff; 2 Thessalonians 2:13, and knowing that all his would come to him; John 6:37 and eventually be converted. So, that said it really isn't one persons word against another's.

Anyhow, explain that! :D

Hello DR :) Following religious strictures without faith is very much works based. It is the basis of what many consider heretical religions. Some would call them religious but lost.

2 Cor 10.12-18

[SUP]12 [/SUP]For we are not bold to class or compare ourselves with some of those who commend themselves; but when they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are without understanding. [SUP]13 [/SUP]But we will not boast beyond our measure, but within the measure of the sphere which God apportioned to us as a measure, to reach even as far as you. [SUP]14 [/SUP]For we are not overextending ourselves, as if we did not reach to you, for we were the first to come even as far as you in the gospel of Christ; [SUP]15 [/SUP]not boasting beyond our measure, that is, in other men’s labors, but with the hope that as your faith grows, we will be, within our sphere, enlarged even more by you, [SUP]16 [/SUP]so as to preach the gospel even to the regions beyond you, and not to boast in what has been accomplished in the sphere of another. [SUP]17 [/SUP]But he who boasts is to boast in the Lord. [SUP]18 [/SUP]For it is not he who commends himself that is approved, but he whom the Lord commends.
