The bolded is directed at the FAITH that saves.

FAITH is a spiritual GIFT and has been dealt to every man in MEASURE except JESUS who received it without measure.

FROM FAITH to FAITH it is written, THE JUST shall live by FAITH

WHY would I believe faith is a selfish work...it is a spiritual GIFT

NONE have stated that a believer will not produce fruit or works....the facts are clear...faith and faith alone saves, justifies, seals and sanctifies positionally in Christ for eternity......the works or fruit that one may bear is the direct result of the faith and salvation one already possesses.

and I will remind you of two things....and ask you a question.....

a. Some will produce gold, silver and precious stones....some will produce wood, hay and stubble
b. EVEN one piece of fruit = bearing fruit or work

HOW would you qualify works of wood, hay and stubble in a believer?

Jesus Christ tore down the middle wall of partition that separates us from God. Works of gold and silver are accepting His finished work as perfection and resting upon it proclaiming it as the only truth. Works of hay and stubble are to rebuild the wall oneself so that one can attempt to tear it down and perform a putrid self glory grab, a whole and complete work of futility imo.

ALL men have been dealt a measure of faith......the gift of languages was not for salvation, but a result of and used at that time....Paul said he would rather speak a few words of understanding than 10,000 in an unknown language.....

Right. It's highly under estimated how much faith and the process it takes to work out salvation to the point where we come to the end of ourselves only to realize it's already perfect. You cannot fix what is not broken.

The reason I ask is because what you have said comes accross that it's GIFTS that save. The plural. So it's faith plus ?? a gift.

Faith Gifts of

These are gifts for building up the church. They have nothing to do adding to faith in Jesus to secure salvation.


1 Corinthians 13:1-3


The Greatest Gift
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. It seems to me that Paul is more concerned with loving people than having the gifts mentioned above.

To reject truth of the word of God, is to reject the flesh and blood of Jesus for the word of God IS the Holy Ghost, which also IS the blood of Jesus. But you won't be able to receive that, because it is truth and you cannot receive truth.
